Trying to install Photo Shop CS3 Extended on Windows 8 and keep getting database corrupted

Hi, I am trying to install my Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended on my new Windows 8 OS 64 Bit computer. The CD does not have a scratch on it, it is like new. I get the error database is corrupted. Contact Adobe Support.
I went to the Adobe website and downloaded the updated installer, same error. I tried running the installer in Windows XP compatibility mode, it looks like it installed, but when I run I get database corrupted.
I could really use some help.

    Fixed! (win7 64 bit)! Just stop your antivirus during the upgrade/installation (I've got Kaspersky).

  • I am trying to download photos to mac from iphone 4s and keep getting message (unreadable files:315) which I say (OK).  Then it throws me out of downloading.  What can I do to get my photos downloaded to Mac?

    Trying to download photos from iphone 4S to a MacBook Pro.  The process keeps getting interrupted/stopped with a notice (unreadable files:315).  When I click (OK), thinking it will download all other photos other than the 315, it stops downloading.  I did this thru Image Capture and also Import Photos in iPhotos.  Both did not work.  What can I do?

    Try:
    - Try another cable.
    - Try another USB port
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    If still problem then it appears the photo files on the iPod are corrupted or you have a hardware problem with the iPod

    From the upper-left of the screen, choose Safari > Quit Safari
    You can now proceed with the installation.

    I had a similar problem recently and using the "more like this" feature I discovered an answer. To a problem posed by Holo7,  who like myself was a newbie on this platform,  b noir proposed a solution to Holo7's problem that also worked with my problem. It involves downloading a version of MS Windows Instal Cleanup and using it to completely remove all traces of the old version.
    If you look at my problem (follow OldGit66) and the link to Holo7's problem then you will find b noir's answer which I think may help you. I am new around here so you might want to wait for one of the higher status correspondents.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
