Trying to install profile from USB drive into newly downloaded FF and now can't open FF?
I switched computers at work. Before they took away my old unit, I downloaded my Profile folder onto my thumb drive. On my new system, I downloaded FF, went to the folder where the Profile is located, added my old profile and deleted the new profile. Now every time I try to open FF, it says that it is already running and I need to close or restart my system. I have looked in Task Manager and FF is not listed as an application that is running. I have restarted and nothing has helped. The only thing that I have been able to do to actually open FF is uninstall and reinstall it. I still can't get my previous Profile loaded. And I had a lot of add-ons and bookmarks (and tabs open, ugh). Help
You would have been better off copying the contents of the Profile on the USB stick into your existing Profile on the new PC, overwriting the existing files in that Profile. <br />

Now Firefox doesn't recognize that "new" Profile, because it isn't listed in the profiles.ini file; and since you deleted the original Profile, Firefox will create a new Profile to replace the missing one.

I downloaded FF4 and now can't open any pop-ups from any sites.
When I click on a link, the little pop-up blocker appears. If I hold "control" and click the link, it opens up a new blank tab. I've turned off both the "block pop-up windows" in the Options tab and Adblock Plus but that hasn't done anything.
Any suggestions? Thanks.What does the little popup blocker look like? Firefox usually displays an infobar below the address/location bar with an Options button. If you are seeing something else, perhaps it is a feature of another add-on? I would especially check any toolbars installed by your antivirus or other security software.

I had to install a new hard drive on my macbook air and now I am getting unkown error whenever I try to login to itunes. Apple support suggested I reset my password so I did that and still the problem is occuring. Itunes and the app store are working normally on my ipad and iphone. Does anyone know what the problem is. Alanh11455686 from the portion of the error you have posted it appears that there maybe some problems updating, removing, or modifying the currently installed color profiles on your computer. I would recommend reviewing the installation logs more closely to confirm that is the case. You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot install using logs | Elements. You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.
I am sorry but the only direct support available for Photoshop Elements 11 is if you are facing activation or licensing issues. I believe the current error is resolvable once the offending files/folders have been removed or the file permissions have been updated. -

I have a new hp tower running windows 8.1 and have been trying to install the adobe reader. The installer downloads (1meg) and I choose to run it but it just sits with an empty screen. I've checked task manager and it takes up memory but does nothing. After letting it run for 3-4 minutes I kill the task. What can I do to get the reader installed on this machine? I've tried using chrome, firefox and explorer and get the same results with each.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with installing the latest iTunes update. I recommend following the steps below:
Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
When you get to the step to uninstall iTunes, it is important to uninstall iTunes and the related components in the order listed in the link for that step.

Hi guys, I hope you help me.. I have no wifi and want to go back from mavericks to lion but erase disc and now can't access disc utility because internet recovery is poping out? what shall i do?
Problem is that my wifi does not work.. im using usb dongle.. My screen was broken and i replace it with 2010 model which suppose to be compatibile with my 2011. Is there a way I can access utility disc and not going itno internet recovery mode?
