Trying to install PSE13. File archive missing?

The error message is:                                     "The file archive part of Adobe PSE13 is missing. You need all parts in the same folder..."  How do I put all parts into the same folder?

I suggest you uninstall via the Windows control panel. Then try an alternative link and validate with your 24 digit serial number - click here for PSE downloads

I continue to receive "failed to mount" when trying to install .dmg files or updates.  Has anyone found an answer to this problem?  I am operating on Mac OS X 10.4.11

10.4.11 was only available as a PowerPC updater application (both as a Combo and as a Delta) to Macs with 10.4 or later that were PowerPC. If you don't have 10.4 installed on your Mac, see this tip:

Trying to install PSE13 from DVD.  Stops when ask to sign in with Adobe ID. How do I get by this?

I am having the same issue. I have contacted Adobe multiple times and keep getting the same answers."We are working on it and should have a answer in 1-2 days." I've been doing this for almost 2 weeks now. Have you gotten any answers yet?

  • "File archive" missing for RH8 Download

I want to download the RH8 Trial version.  Once I got the Akamai download manager installed, I thought I was ready.  But... it hangs saying that the RH8 archive file part is missing.  Where/ How do I get this?  I tried copying the downloader into my project file location, but it didn't find what it needed there, either.  Thx.

I have the exact same problem. I've been trying to install RoboHelp 8 for 2 hours now...

  • Trying to package InDesign file, gets missing plugin error

I've been trying to package this magazine and it keeps telling me i'm missing this external plugging called 'asset management.InDesignPlugin'. when i try googling it i can't find anything.

If Peter's solution does not help, here's another way, because the missing plugin might just be incorrectly registered or not at all:
    1. Find the location of your Indesign preferences file, copy it to a safe place, delete the original.
    2. Start Indesign - it will re-register all plugins. Close Indesign again.
    3. Write back the saved prefs file to the original location.

  • Missing the install.app file for Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended...

Recently, I purchased a new Mac computer. We noticed there was not a CD drive, so we moved the Photoshop files over to a USB from my old computer. But, when we tried to open and install Photoshop, the install.app file was missing. The other install files were only compatible with Windows computers.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

So, I checked out the second linnk and it says something about needing an upgrade if I don't have to most recent version? Does that mean I'll need to upgrade to Photoshop CC before I can get a cross grade? Or can I keep the CS6 Extended version?
Adobe loves confusing people with their marketing copy. Without trying, they often obfuscate the simplest of processes with poor wording.
The platform swap process only applies to perpetually licensed versions since they're tied to platform specific serial numbers: Mac or Windows, never both ( applies to CS6 and lower). Not CC which is licensed for both Mac and/or Windows via your Adobe ID, so there's no platform swapping necessary.
What Adobe is trying to say is that you can only swap platforms for the most current perpetually licensed version.
e.g. CS6 Windows can be transferred to CS6 Mac.
However, CS5 Windows cannot be transferred to CS5 Mac. You must pay the upgrade cost from CS5 to CS6 and swap platforms at the same time (that's a crossgrade). e.g. CS5 Windows to CS6 Mac is OK.
Photoshop CC is entirely different. It is available to anyone but only via subscription, even without ever previously owning any Adobe software. There's no upgrading or crossgrading. You simply join up - but keep in mind that you never own the software.
You don't need CS5 or CS6 to start subscribing to Photoshop CC. There's no connection with your CS5 license other than you can use your CS5 license to get a discounted rate for the first 12 months of CC membership.

  • Send To Handheld keeps trying to install an invalid file.

I made the mistake of trying to use Send To Handheld to install a .wmv file. It gave me an error message saying that I don't have an application that is compatible with this file on my Palm. OK. I can't install that file on my Palm. However, it keep trying to install this file every time I sync my Palm. I have deleted the file from my computer and Send To Handheld still keeps trying to install the file. Each time I get the same error message. So, how do I get Send To Handheld to stop trying to install that file?
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

Unfortunately, no, I have not found a solution to this problem other than to make sure that the SD memory card is not in the memory slot when I sync. The installer is trying to install to that. So, if it is not available, it skips the attempt to install the incompatible file an syncs everything else.
It is really annoying that I can't find some other solution. One would think that the people who wrote these programs would know that some idiot would try to install an incompatible file with them and write in protections against that and/or a way to take the incompatible file out of the installation list. Back when I had to take a computer programing class in college, that was one of the things that they emphasized, idiot proofing our programs. The lab tutors were specifically told to try to crash our programs and if they succeeded, then we had to back and fix it so that it would happen again. It seems as if the people who wrote this program did not learn this lesson, as attempting to install an incompatible file is a fairly obvious potential error that should have been addressed.

  • Extension Manager 2.1 for Mac crashes when trying to install any extension

    Hi,
I have the Adobe Extension Manager 2.1 installed on a Mac running Mac OS X 10.5.6.  I updated all the latest Adobe and Apple software.
I tried to install MXP files for Adobe AIR, jQuery, and Drupal, but doing so crashes the Extension Manager.  I tried uninstalling it using the Photoshop installer (which is what installed the Manager initially), but this didn't help.
The Manager also crashes when I try to open the Help > About the dialogue, both from the main window and from the menu bar.
Can anyone help me with this?  Thanks in advance!
    Rémi

Reading the thread linked below resolved my problem.  I only had to uninstall Safari 4 Beta before I could use the Extension Manager.

  • How to Install PSE13/32-Bit on Win7/64-Bit

Because PSe13/64-Bit has no support for TWAIN scanners anymore, I was trying to install PSE13/32-Bit which includes TWAIN support. The installation of the 32-Bit version fails with:
ERROR: This installer does not support installation on a 64-Bit Windows operating system. Please download the 64-Bit version of Photoshop Elements.
ERROR: System check returned with error : 6
I do not want to use the WIA-Import, because the features are very limited on my Canon MG6250.

I can understand you not wanting to use the WIA-Import, it's beyond basic. I too wanted to continue to use the PS Twain plugin (with my Canon LiDE 210) but have now given up trying, deciding instead to go with PSE13 on my Win 7 64-bit machine, making do with WIA-Import. C'est la vie.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Sachesi should do the trick. Look in these forums for the "Downloaded Applications for BlackBerry 10" section. There's a sticky at the top about installing Android apps, the Sachesi link is there.
    Cheers.

  • Installing .bin files

I'm trying to install a file that is a ".bin.uncompressed" file. Does anybody know what program is required to open/install this type of file?

The file is for MSN Messenger. It came with Office 2004 for Mac. Before I got office, I was running the free online version called Microsoft Messenger. When I got Office, All of the applications installed fine but MSN Messenger. It installed, but when I try to sign in, it tells me there's an updated version I have to install, I click to download, it downloads as messenger.bin.uncompressed and then when I click on the .bin file, it asks what program I want to open it with. That's where I get stuck. Thanks for your help.
