Trying to intall Adobe Air on Windows 7 Home Premium
I successfully install Adobe Air, then there is no sign of the program anywhere even though it shows up to uninstall it in the control panel. You cannot find it under a search or on the program list. The only file that shows up is the adobe air installer exe file.
AIR isn't an application, but a runtime that other applications use. It's similar to Java. You don't run it directly, it's just something other applications need to have present so they can run. You won't see any reference to it in your Start menu, though it will appear in your Uninstall control panel. The applications that use AIR (like Tweetdeck, BBC iPlayer, etc) will have links in your program list.

Unable to open Adobe CS3 on windows 7 home premium 64 bit
I recently got a brand new machine with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I installed CS3, everything worked just fine but when I try to open it nothing happens. Anybody know what the problem is?

Cannot install Adobe Reader on Windows 7 Home Premium
The download is not a problem. I have tried the fixes on the Adobe page and through Google Search. Help!
The installation gives this error at about 97% complete:
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {B708EB72-AA82-3EB7-8BB0-D845BA35C93D}. HRESULT: 0x80070002.There are many error messages that we see posted day after day in this forum, but yours is definitely a new one - I have never seen that before! My first reaction: it may have been a fluke; reboot and try the install again.
But I suspect that you have already tried that; with the same result?

Cannot print adobe documents ... Error message indicates a need to install plug-in for adobe reader.
Please advise how/where to locate the required adobe reader plug-in...

Cannot Install Java JDK on Windows 7 Home Premium
Hello all, I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question. I have an issue trying to install ANY JDK on Windows 7 Home Premium. When I run the install it throws an Error: 1722. I've tried looking around on Google but haven't found much. Has anyone else has this error?
I tried to install the windows7 64-bit jdk on my windows7 64-bit computer with 2 browsers, chrome and firefox. There was no difference between browsers. Then, I repeatedly installed and uninstalled many, many times, trying to figure out what was wrong.
After an easy install, I click on the jdk program to try to use it, and I get a pop-up saying something like, you have already installed this, do you want to install it again? That is all I get from the installed jdk program, there is nothing else the program will do, only give me that pop-up.
I then read and studied all the online info from all the java websites. Their website info does not mention this problem. Then I did all the you tube videos that deal with this problem. After watching a you tube video, I clicked start, and typed in cmd, and then typed javac; the message I am given is that javac is not recognized as a command.
Then, I tried to contact the java/oracle company many different ways, with chat and email, and got NO response; they are not addressing or responding to this situation in any way.
Last night, I contacted my computer company, and after speaking with them, they are saying they will go into my computer and make the necessary software changes to the windows 7 so that the java jdk will be properly working. Sounds great, but - they want to charge me a lot of $$MONEY. I got two price quotes, $80 and $89. It is not free, which is frustrating. The java download is free, but I do I have to pay to get it properly installed on my computer? Can anyone provide wise advise? Is there any way I can get it properly installed for free?
Also, someone mentioned that maybe my Norton Antivirus is preventing the proper jdk install, but I doubt it, since the norton antivirus has never before given me any problem.

After the Windows 8 release, Windows 7 isn't available as a download anymore. In the past, you could get it from the Microsoft Store > http://www.microsoftstore.com
Now, the only thing you can do is to buy Windows 7 on a disc from eBay or Amazon, and install Windows from the disc. As you have a new iMac, note that it doesn't come with a SuperDrive, so you have to buy an external optical drive -

I'm working at a museum using kiosk type clients running Adobe AIR. One type of thin clients we're using is running Windows XP Embedded. I've tried installing standard Adobe AIR on it via web, but it keeps failing. Is there some way to get Adobe AIR up and running on the Embedded version of XP?Any official word on this? Problem with installing/uninstalling Adobe AIR on Windows 7 x64
I encounter problem while trying to do anything with AIR. I cannot uninstall Adobe AIR using default uninstaller or install any AIR software because the message "This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which cannot be found" is popping up.
I tried to remove Adobe AIR with Revo Uninstaller and installing the AIR again but it didn't help. Revo Uninstaller removes all files and registry entries successfuly. After such reinstalation of Adobe AIR all the files in c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe AIR seems healthy and registry entries are added as well.
I tried Microsoft Install and Uninstall Fix It tool, Windows Install Clean Up - didn't work.

I am trying to upgrade from Adobe AIR version 2.7.1.1961 to version version 3.1.0.4880.
The operating system is Windows Server 2008 Standard - SP1

Other notes that might be of use is that I have tried to uninstall Adobe AIR with a similar error message.
I am hoping someone can provide some insight on how to resolve this situation.Thanks for the links above.
I downloaded and run the Microsoft Install and Uninstall Fix It. Thinking there could be issues with the current version of AIR, I ran the utility and chose to uninstall the current version of AIR; and was successful.
I followed up by restarting the computer and then go to the Adobe AIR download page. When I try to install the new version, it get basically the same error message. The log file from the install is below.

Finally, when I try to run the fixit tool again, it is of no practical use as there is no program to repair.
Again, I am hoping someone can provide some insight on how to resolve the current situation -
Unable to find Adobe AIR on Windows 7
I have recently tried to download Adobe AIR and the computer reads that it was successful. However, when I try to locate the Adobe AIR application all I can find is the Installer. I tried looking in the OS, searching, basically looking everywhere and I can't find it. When I try and reinstall the program it just reads "This version of Adobe AIR is already installed on your system." But it didn't install, at least not correctly, because I can't find it. I'm not a big computer person so any help would be much appreciated!

I have been trying to download Adobe Air for a website I'm trying to access (Colonial Williamsburg). After the installation was finished, I went back to the website and it still said I didn't have Adobe Air. I tried reinstalling and Adobe said I already have it on my system (Mac OSX 10.9). I can't find the app. I uninstalled, restarted, etc. and same results.

I have not read all you wrote, so I may have missed some points. As I understand it, you installed FP 10 on IE7, but it won't play any Flash content?
Try this
download the FP uninstaller from http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157
close all browser windows, then run the uninstaller
download the offline ActivX installer for Internet Explorer from http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
close all browser windows, then run the installer -
