Trying to learn to love photoshop elements?

I am new to photoshop elements and am quite bummed at the limited fonts available with this program.  I do nature photography and am used to a lot more script fonts to work with.  Are there any free fonts available to download???

I have found a good free website called "Google" and it is so good that it gives most answers free of charge when you know how to use it.
<https://www.google.com/search?q=free%20fonts&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US: official&client=firefox-a&source=hp&channel=np>
Good luck.

  • Im trying to re-install Adobe photoshop elements and it says failure to install

I would like to say that your customer Service is the absolute worst I have ever spoken to... I am having trouble re-installing my photoshop elements 4.0 on my computer. I just used it yesterday and went to re-install it today because my computer had to be restored to factory settings. I waited 10 min and the phone hung up on me. I called back and waited 30 min and then hung up because it was taking so long. Then called back, complained to the first rep, he transferred me to another rep who transferred me and I waited 52 min for a CSR to tell me that I need to go to forums.com. This is terrible..what is there job if they are just referring people to a forum. I would love to download 12.0 at some point but I do not have the funds at this time and the 4.0 will get the job done, but it will not let me download. I need this asap for my job. I am wasting valuable time from my job and kids w/ computer problems.
    Thanks

  • I AM TRYING TO INSTAL THE ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENT 10, BUT IT COMES A NOTE SAYING TO GET THE ADOBE SUPPORT ADVISOR, I TRIED THEY SAY IT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED, I BOUGHT THE LICENSE AND A NEW APPLE COMPUTER AND NEED TO INSTAL IT,

I AM TRYING TO INSTAL THE ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENT 10, IN A NEW APPLE COMPUTER, BUT IT COMES A NOTE SAYING THAT THE INSTALATION WAS NOT ABLE TO INITIALIZE, AND THAT  I SHOULD DOWNLOAD THE ADOBE SUPPORT ADVISOR TO DETECT THE PROBLEM.  I DID IT BUT IT SAYS THAT IS HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED,

start at the top and work your way down applying applicable fixes until your problem is resolved.
    if cc (win):  https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-application-failed.html
    if, your error is:
"Installer failed to initialize. File not found." or "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to missing files."
first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.
    to find OOBE:
64 bit win OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
32 bit win OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
    mac os: HD>library>application support>adobe>caps
    mac os: USER>library>application support>adobe>OOB
if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
if you're using a dvd to install:
copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
    if you're using a mac:
    1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
    2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
    3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    5. Start the installation again.
if everything applicable above fails, check your installation logs:

  • Trying to upload "actions" to photoshop elements 10 but I am having troubles because things are not on my hard drive that need to be there??

I am trying to upload "actions" to photoshop elements 10 but I am having troubles!  I watched the YouTube tutorial but seem to be missing "Adobe" in my Hard Drive!  Help me I am stuck....

I just loaded my actions using the PSE 10 from the App Store.
    Close PSE.
Access the System library location from Finder menu, click "Go" in the menu bar then select "Go to Folder...". Type in  "~/Library" and click Go.
The systems Library will open up and then you take this path:
Application Support > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Editor > Presets > Actions (The Actions folder is where you move your actions file to)
Then go to the Photo Creations Folder > Locales > en_US and delete the MediaDatabase.db3 file (move it to the trash)
The next time you launch PSE your Actions DB will be rebuilt with the new actions installed.

  • I'm getting a error that says NONE when I'm trying to reset up Adobe Photoshop Element. How do I fix it?

I'm getting a error that says NONE when I'm trying to reset up Adobe Photoshop Element. How do I fix it? I already have the program but updated my computer from Vista to windows 7, and it didn't transfer over. What do I do?

Sorry, but I'm not clear when you get the message NONE.
Which version of Photoshop Elements do you have?
Have you installed Photoshop Elements on your Windows 7 system?
What are you doing when you get the message NONE?

I am learning to use Photoshop Elements with my recently downloaded Elements 13.  I am disappointed that there is no longer a golden section grid option.  Does anyone know if there is a way I can get this?  Is there an upgrade to a more advanced photoshop or a plug in that has it as an option?

  • Trying to download and install Photoshop Elements and Premium on Surface Pro 3 from the link and receiving an error - anyone know of a resolution?

I have a Surface Pro 3 and just purchased the download link for Photoshop Elements (newest one) from Adobe. I've tried downloading several times and in 64 and 32 bit types, but have only made it as far as the install before receiving an error. Anyone else have this problem and know of a solution?

    Hi Jeff -
I tried chatting with someone earlier today, but they ended the session (I think accidentally?) before it was resolved. My error is below. Now chat seems to be closed - although I thought it was open 24/7, so I can't try that again. This is the most frustrating support experience I've ever had. I just want to access and start using the products I purchased Friday. I would be so happy if someone would just help fix this. I am not computer inept, but cannot figure out why the download is failing.
The guy on chat that was helping me before getting cut off had me run a SCANNOW system scan, but that's where the session unexpectedly ended.
    Exit Code: 7
Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR:
    -------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------
    - 0 fatal error(s), 2 error(s)
ERROR: This installer does not support installation on a 64-Bit Windows operating system. Please download the 64-Bit version of Photoshop Elements.

  • Trying to open file in photoshop elements, only first option available in Edit Photo window.  The other two has "Edit a Copy is not applicable to raw or Digital Negative files" same for Edit Original.

Brand new user to Lightroom 5.  Was following tutorials and doing fine editing.  After done editing NEF files, I'm trying to open them in PSE 11 to further edit.  Using the "Edit Photo with Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor".  But the window only has the first option available and the other two grayed out.  Each of those has "...is not applicable to raw or Digital Negative files."  What??

sorry, no can do...ain't gonna happen.
What you've done is hit the wall on is the basic difference between lite duty spot healing and photo level tone and color correction (Lightroom and Camera Raw) and heavy duty pixel retouching in Photoshop.
When you need to substantially manipulate the "pixels" you need Photoshop and you'll be forced to render the raw file into a TIFF or PSD file either through Camera Raw or more better, via Lightroom.
You can do the basic tone and color correction directly in Lightroom and edit in Photoshop from Lightroom. But you will NEED to create and save out a "rendered" image that is no longer raw...then retouch to your heart's desire, save it and it'll be available in Lightroom along side your original raw if you choose.
But no, there's no way to open a raw in Photoshop, manipulate the heck out of it with massive retouching then save that back out as a raw file...ain't gonna happen.

  • Trying to download update for Photoshop Elements 9.0

I received Photoshop Elements 9.0 with my Epson V500 Scanner and I want to download the update (9.0.3) and all I get is that the download failed to install.
What do I need to do to get 9.0.3 to install?
I have Windows Vista 64 installed on my computer with 16GB of ram

    Ken,
System info shows Elements Organizer 9.0.0.0.
Under Adobe help I found the following:
    Application: Adobe Community Help
    Installed Version: 3.2.1.650
    Update Version: 3.5.0
It also has update available and then 2 buttons - 1 with Download Now and the other Download later.
Every thing reads Adobe Element 9 Organizer

  • New to RAW and trying to upload pics to Photoshop Elements 7

Hi I am using Windows XP and wanted to experiment with RAW pics....just bought a Cannon T3i and I am currently using Elements 7 and been searching for an update or patch so I can upload some RAW pics I took to Elements 7.  I been looking for about 3 hours and cant find the right update!  Can someone help me please!

Unfortunatly the needed camera raw plugin can't be used in photoshop elements 7, but you can use the free 7.3 DNG Converter to
convert your camera raw files to dng copies which pse 7 should open.
The minimum camera raw plugin needed is 6.4 and pse 7 can only be updated as far as 5.6

  • Please suggest learning material for photoshop elements 7.0/6.0 It came bundled with a wacom bamboo. We would like a book or website targeting OSX

All of the websites and books (elements for dummies from amazon, etc.) seem to focus on windows.  The Elements for Dummies even says that Adobe stopped supporting Elements after 4.0.  My CD says 7.0 Win/6.0 MAC.  How can I find more info on how to use it, besides the manual that came with it?  I am not that interested in photo manipulation, but would like to use it for digital painting.Photoshop Elements

With OSX Yosemite around the corner and the next version of PSE due (normally September/October) most books can’t keep pace with the Adobe Creative Cloud which guarantees to keep you up to date.
The Photography plan at $9.99 pm is probably the future.

  • Error message trying to install adobe photoshop elements 4.0 on to my new macbook air

just tried installing previously purchased adobe photoshop elements 4.0 on to my new macbook air... it gave me an error and asked that i contact manufacturer... kinda cant wait til tomorrow... anyone out there that can help?

As I said in your other thread, PSE 4 has not been compatible with OS X since around 10.4. It will not install in 10.8. PSE 6 is the oldest version you can use. PSE 4 is a PPC application and 10.8 requires intel software.
