Trying to link Curve 9320 phone to home e-mail account

Trying to do above and not succeeding using the phone. Seems like it is going to work and then comes up with connection failed message. I initially tried doing it through Virgin but they said i have to do it through Blackberry!?

Knowing only what you've said, all I can think of to give you are instructions. From merely "connection failed", there's nothing specific that I can find for your situation. Hence:

Sorry, but not knowing what your "home e-mail account" is, I can only provide you with that "shotgun" approach...hopefully you can figure out which might be applicable.
You also can try, from your BB Browser, this URL:

You can also try, from a PC/browser, your carriers BIS website...if they have one...they would have to tell you that.
The last resort is to ring up your carrier and have them do it...which is risky since that means revealing your email credentials.

I'm not at all sure what that agent was trying to tell you...BlackBerry does not host BIS/email for customers, the carriers all do that, and each controls their own BIS system. But, if you are indeed subscribed to an adequate data plan to enable email (there are many different plan levels) and your carrier cannot get it working for you, then they should escalate your case up to BlackBerry -- only they have a formal channel to do that, end users can't bypass their carrier and receive any support from BlackBerry directly.

No one here can tell you what to enter, because it is specific to your email provider, they type of service they provide (IMAP, POP or Exchange) your email address, your email password, your email provider's incoming mail server and your email provider's outgoing mail server.
You can copy this information from the email setup on your computer, or go to your email provider's support site, where they will probably have instructions specifically for the iPhone. If they don't call their support and ask. Well, I checked, and they don't seem to have it posted. But here is the contact information: http://jbnets.com/ContactUs.html
You can also try to let iTunes import the information. Connect the phone to iTunes, click on it in the left column, then go to the Info page. Check "Sync mail accounts", then check your email account name if it is listed.

I am trying to log in to my MSN Hotmail e-mail account, and after entering my login info, I get the error message that Firefox cannot find the server. Why not?

When trying to log into my MSN Hotmail account (@msn.com), after I enter my credentials, Firefox gives me an error message that "Firefox can't find the server at blu152.mail.live.com". I am able to log in easily from the same computer using Internet Explorer. I think this problem just started yesterday. Why is Firefox unable to connect to my e-mail account?

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

I forgot my BB Curve 9320 Phone password.

Actually, the password I had set contained numerics which I changed by pressing the ALT key, now the phone isnt accepting the same new password. I have 2 tries left. I went to BlackBerry Protect website to see if I can reset the device password from Web, but I dont see any option there to reset the password.
What do I do now?

BlackBerry devices are the most secure devices , if you set up your device password then you have to enter the correct password to access your device. Also BlackBerry Protect is meant for Backup ,it will not allow you or there are no such services which allow us to reset our device Password.
As you said you have set numerics in your password, I think you are not able to properly enter those on the BlackBerry keyboard. For example , if your password is
2013
And you enter alt > 2 > 0 > 1 > 3
then the actual result will be
20wr
But you must enter
alt > 2 > 0 > alt > 1 > alt > 3
to get 2013 on your device.
So, while on the BlackBerry keyboard you think you are typing 2013 , you are actually typing 20wr
So take you time and enter your password correctly.

It sounds like iMessage may be activated with the wrong phone number. Let’s see if we can resolve this. First, go ahead and sign out of iMessage and FaceTime:

Sign out and back in to iMessage and FaceTime
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Go to Settings > FaceTime, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Afterwards, turn iMessage and FaceTime off and restart your device:

Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.

Why are all of my hotmail folders not showing up? They previously were and now the only thing that shows up his inbox and trash. I have tried deleting and reinstalling hotmail under settings and add mail account but it is still only giving me the inbox.

I can access all my folders in hotmail when I log on from google but they don't show up and just the general mailbox. I don't want to have to logon to Google every time I want to check my Hotmail but I also need to be able to see all my subfolders that I created under the inbox. There are many time to do not wish to delete the message but at the same time I don't want to leave them in the inbox forever. I tried restarting my iPhone 4s which has the update seven-point whatever it is now and also went and try to create an exchange account where it did not let me do it. Any help or suggestions as welcome. If you could please send answer to my email at [email protected] I would really appreciate it and I probably will forget my password here to get back on again

Try deleting your hotmail account and then adding it back as an Outlook account instead of "other". It worked for me.

My att/yahoo mail account quit working on my home M/B Pro after my iphone was linked to the account.

Several weeks ago my work upgraded my phone to a I Phone 5S and linked the phone to my work and home E-mail accounts.
The phone works perfectly to send and receive both, but my home M/B Pro mysteriously quit linking to my ISP: Att.net (Yahoo) account.

Is there a more user friendly E-mail program other than Enourage 2008 for my mail account. (Extremely impossible to move users, saved emails, settings up to new upgrades / installs.

There are no viruses or trojans affecting iPhones unless your phone is jailbroken or hacked.
"Losing" email account passwords is not that rare and can be caused by a variety of factors that corrupt data - that's why you should be frequently backing up and syncing the phone. Just reenter your password.

Why do I see about:blank in the address bar when clicking a link within an email item in my yahoo mail account?

I have Os X and Firefox 4. When I click a link in an email in my yahoo mail account, the address bar first shows about:blank and then goes on to obtain the address of the link. Is this a virus, or hacker, or what? Thanks for your help.

You only see the URL after Firefox has made a connection.<br />
During the initial state you see about:blank in the location bar.

- Connect to computer and it it shows in iTune restore via iTunes
- Then try letting the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try the reset (both buttons) and connecting to computer and restore.

In effect this is a DNS block.
You can do it.
You need to be in an Admin Mac User Account that has non blank password.
Go to the Applications/Utilities folder and open Terminal.
You should see your shortname (the one under the Little House icon) followed by the $ symbol
Copy and paste the bold text below into Terminal after the $ symbol.
sudo pico /etc/hosts
This will load the file "hosts" into and editor that works in Terminal.
Use the arrow keys to get to the line with Verisign in it.
Now type the # symbol and it will be added in front of the character that is highlighted.
The # symbol is either Shift +3 or ALT+ 3 depending on your keyboard layout
Now use CTRL and O keys together.
This Saves the changes.
Quit Terminal.

here is an interesting thing: take the iphone and set lock screen to never. Now make an email with siri--be sure to activate her with call button. get to the body and get some text in there. then just stop talking. LOCK SCREEN APPEARS!!!!!! and of course you draft is gone.
There does seem to be a work around for some--maybe all these issues. Don't use the call button--use the buttons on the phone.
Siri seems to behave properly with scenerio above---sans call button. She does not go to lock.

On my BlackBerry Curve 8530 Phone, I deleted an app that I did not want anymore, but when I tried to reboot the phone a few times, the screen comes up as ''App Error 200'' when it is down rebooting. What do I do? And if I have to get a new battery for my phone, where do I get one, and how much does it cost?

If the screen wont show at all, it looks like your screen has went out on the phone. Take the phone to your local service provider like sprint or at&T. These shops usually have repair guys who can try and fix it. If they cant fix it, they will have to replace the phone.
Once screens and keyboards go out on these phones (i have had a keyboard go out) they are worthless and they need to be replaced.
Unfortunately a wipe would do nothing if you cant even see the screen.

HELP required in tansfering contacts from .dbk file to BB Curve 9320

Hello Everyone,
I was using SONY XEPRIA Z earlier and had backup of all the contacts in my laptop as .dbk extension file.
I lost my phone now and took a new BB CURVE 9320 and am unable to transfer any contacts using the same file.
I tried unzipping the .dbk file and sucessfully did that and now i'm stuck up in middle. Kindly assist me in tarnsfering the contacts.

It is not possible to use the .dbk file to transfer your contacts to your BlackBerry. Are your contacts saved in any other place other than that file?
