Trying to liscense my Student version of Lightroom, but serial number I was given is "invalid"
The title pretty much sums up my problem; every time I enter it the number in, it says the serial number is invalid and tells me to contact customer support. I tried getting help in chat; the representative looked up the number, and apparently the number I was given is fine and they left immediately
I directly copied and pasted the number from the validation email after a few failed tries. Still no dice.
I own the physical version of Lightroom, but my laptop doesn't have a DVD drive.
Help?
There are two different “newest versions” of LR 5.6 that are licensed differently. One, from the Updates page, is a standalone version that is licensed via a serial number. The other is licensed by a cloud login. It may be that you have the cloud-licensed version and need the serial-number-licensed version.
I’d suggest that even though you have what you believe is the newest version, you uninstall what you have, and install the one from the Updates page.

The Acrobat manager does not accept letter formation while entering the serial number. Where my serial number does contain letters and numbers. How do I enter my verified code ?

I have LR5 student on my iMac but need it on my laptop, when I try to install it wont accept the serial number I was given last Feb. Does this mean I can no longer use/install this product?
No, you should be able to use/install LR5. Make sure you are using the correct number. If the problem continues explain the details of what you do and what happens.

I just purchased LR5 online and installed it on my PC. I entered the serial number I was given and it said "this is an upgrade serial number. The serial number from your previous version of LR is also required." Since I just bought it I don't have a previous serial number. What do I enter?

Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

I purchased Lightroom 5 and Elements 12 and installed them on a computer. I now have a new computer, and wish to install them on the new one. When I tried to do so, my only option seemed to be Adobe Cloud. When I was asked for my LR serial number, it was not accepted. Please help me install these two products; I prefer stand-alone, rather than a monthly fee. Thank you

i have had lightroom 5 for some time now, and have used on my pc. I just got a mac (no disc drive) so I downloaded the trial version of LR5 from the adobe site. Once installed, i tried to key in my serial number.

I am trying to install Lightroom and I am OK until it asks for a serial number. I purchased Lightroom from B&H and the have entered the seal number on the the B&H invoice. Nothing happens, not all the entry boxes are filled with the serial number that was provided by B&H. I looked for a serial number on and in the box it came in, nada.
