Trying to listen to an email attachment in WAV format.

My home phone messages are forwarded to my .Mac email account, but show up as an attachment in WAV format. When I click on the attachment to play the recorded phone message I get an alert saying "This movie could not be played". I need to be able to listen to my phone messages! Any thoughts?

Well, at least there is a solution. I simply have a problem with sending dozens of private messages to a third party server. If the software could be hosted on my own server, then it make much more sense.
Hopefully Apple's SDK will open up a few third party apps to do what QuickTime should already be doing. I mean come on! .WAV files are the industry standard for uncompressed audio files. To prevent me from using them on the iPhone when Quicktime otherwise plays them on my Mac is ridiculous. Why? More processing power and battery drain? file size? What?
I use my iPod now to transport WAV files when I need the original uncompressed sound files. To deny that functionality on the iPhone is just dumb.

Submit email attachement in rich format problem

Here's the issue.
We have a PDF form created with LiveCycle Designer 8.0. It uses the standard button to email the form. When submitting a completed PDF form through email, an email is opened in Outlook and the filled-in PDF form is attached. It all works.
The problem however, is that emails created through this mechanism are plain text format; the default Outlook setting of HTML (or Rich Text) is ignored.
The Outlook version is 2003 SP3

Hi,
I don't think you can influence this. A form with an email button will generate a plain text email in MS Outlook 2007 (Windows). However the same form and button opened in a Mac environment will respect the default in MS Entourage and send a html email.

You don't have to disable any addons or extentions!!!You guys are not going to believe this I figured out the problem it's really dumb...ok here goes the attachment uploader loads seperate so I got to thinking it's a popup so I went to options content and under block pop ups there is an option exceptions click on that and in the box type firefox.com and hit allow pow its fixed!!!!! :-)

In the Print dialogue, click the PDF button at lower left, choose Mail PDF
The result should be a new email document with the pdf file attached.
Address and send.
The procedure applies to any document which may be printed, not just Pages documents.

Firefox crashes when trying to add email attachment: Crash Signature: MSONSEXT.DLL@0x4f8b5.

Every time I try to add an email attachment in GMX.net for the first time after opening forefox, I click the "search" bar to add a file from my computer and firefox crashes. Sometimes it works after restarting firefox after a crash, but it happens way too often and every time I have to fear that my whole email is gone because of it.

It works OK now. Earlier today I received an email with an attached slide show. I downloaded the slide show, watched it, and closed the email. Afterwards I tried to create an email with an attached photo and it worked!
I used to do Fortran programming on a 7090, but it seems that the home computers containing all sorts of software from who knows where and with who knows what faults, do not always work as they are supposed to. Whatever happened to logical certainty?

They seem to be word files - they will open if I choose "open with" microsoft word, but if I double click they don't open they are appearing as PDF on my screen. I even opened one and then tried to "save as" making sure I chose .doc and they still appear as PDF
I just created a new document response.doc in word and when I saved to my desktop it appears as a PDF file and I absolutely did not create a PDF or save as PDF it was a simple word
doc.
The message says "Adobe reader could not open response.doc because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example attached in an email and not properly decoded)
The reader version is I believe the most current, I always update when prompted. OS is Windows 8

Ths is regarding email to file scenario. I am trying to create file (in rceiver file adapter) with the same name as the email attachment that i read from mail sender adapter. I want ro use adapter module for this. I could find from blogs that there is module - GetAttachmentName - available that i can use for this in sender mail adapter.
Can you please let me know what whetehr i neeed to mention any module key and parameters for this.
I assume , i need to do following steps :Please confirm.
1. i can use this module - after payload swap module and before standard mail adapter module in sender mail adapter
2. select ASMA option in advanced tab in sender mail adapter
3. In receiver file adapter select ASMA option in advanced tab in sender mail adapter
4. Also select file name option in ASMA in sender mail adapter

If you use the Module getAttachmentName, which is described here,

your scenario should work as you described it.
You just need to make sure that the Attachment Name that you read in the first place, is mapped to the Filename Attribute of the
Fileadapter (http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File/FileName).

I have an email attachment that I would like to be able to access when NOTconnected. I found one suggestion that I should open the attachemtn iniBooks and save it there. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do that.

I am trying to store an email attachment (an Excel spreadsheet) somewhere on my iPhone 5 to be able to access it easily in the future. I do not need the ability to work on it, just to access it, although it would be convenient if i could load updated versions over it on a regular basis. The spreadsheet was created in Excel on a laptop with Win 7. I read one posting that said I should save the document to iBooks and then could open it whenever I wanted. The same posting refered to something in the upper right corner of the attachment that enabled me to save it to iBooks. Unfortunately, there is no such option showing when I looked at the file, which I did email to myself. I was able to open the attachment, but can't get beyond this point. My tech ability doesn't go much beyond being able to power up my phone, so I need a really simple solution, if one exists.

First of all, Excel file can't save to iBook. (iBook only can view PDF files). That's why you don't see it in "open in" options. In order for you to save excel, you will need a third party app like Numbers, Office2. There are a few free apps that can use to view. I used Office2 from Byte2, because I can not only store and view later, I can do some edit too. Especially when you want to edit a few numbers and re send them to my office or clients will be very useful for me.

Pdf file sent via email attachment gets a webloc extension

Someone sent an email with a pdf attachment to our entire school via our google mail account. People with PCs were able to open the pdf files. Mac users received the pdf files with a webloc extension (i.e. - filename.pdf.webloc) and were unable to open it. How did this happen and how can we prevent it from happening again? I had 2 of the pdf files on my mac (one of which I created) and they did not have a webloc extension. Any help would be great. Thank you!!

I tried that and received a message from Adobe Acrobat that read "Adobe Reader could not open 'Absentee Ballot.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
Since we have 300+ families who receive these emails and I don't know who has a mac and who doesn't I would rather be able to send the pdf attachments and prevent the webloc from being applied at all versus letting everyone know how to remove it once they receive it.

That is probably just a generic error message and you might not ever know what is causing it. Assuming that you have been able to play live radio with the app in the past (I know nothing about the app) and assuming that all other Internet related functions (Safari, email, etc.) are working properly on your iPad, quit the app completely and reboot your iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that fails to resolve the issue, you might want to reboot your router, unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again.

Just copy the code below and execute . I just checked and found the exact values on attachment with no blank lines. This is more simple than the one u have written , just include ur data upload logic . For ITAB values to be attached i have written a simple logic to retrive from EKPO. Just copy this code and execute. u will understand then.
