Trying to load new itunes & ios6

I've even trying to load the new iTunes update for a long time. It freezes up my computer. I even tried uninstalling but it freezes. I also tried taking my virus protection off. Any ideas?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The error hints at a similar pattern to those discussed in the first and third boxes of the user tip, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find AirTrafficHost.dll in the one of the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
Delete it and then repair Apple Mobile Device Support from the Programs and Features control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

Yes, the store didn't properly activate the card. If the store is nearly then you could try going back and asking them to do so, if it isn't (or if they can't/won't help) then try contacting iTunes Support (you will probably need to give them images of the front and back of the card, and possibly its receipt) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes

Easiest way is to use Migration Assistant application in /Applications/Utilities/ on your computer.
This will migrate all yoru user data from old computer.

okay, try to launch itunes. then go to your task manager's process tab. is there an itunes.exe process running there?

Cant down load new itunes upgrade due to work pc lap top firewall

Hi i have a i phone. went to to load up new itunes software to phone and my PC will not down load file.
I use a works PC and they have firewalls. it comes up " NOT VALID WIN 32 APPLICATION" so i cant use the new software. Any Help PLEASE!!!

I had the older version of iTunes and it worked perfectly fine with my mini iPod - I saw no reason to upgrade since things were going well. However, I recently received the new iPod shuffle and iTunes told me I had to upload the newest version to use with my shuffle. So, I upload the new version of iTunes which simultaneously upgraded my Quicktime. Anyway, after upload was complete I tried clicking on my iTunes icon and it said I needed a newer version of Quicktime (ironic, since I thought I just uploaded the newest version!?). So, naturally I tried loading the new Quicktime on independently and still had no luck. I also tried reinstalling both iTunes and Quicktime... still no luck. Finally, I decided to uninstall all iTunes and Quicktime programs on my computer and start fresh. Once I removed all those files, I restarted my computer and then I downloaded the new iTunes and I'm good to go. I know many of you were experiencing similar problems, so hopefully this will help you.

after that^ happened i decided to do a system restore to backdate to yesterday as my PC had gone rather laggy and jolty
after this i reinstalled itunes again
now i get an "unknown error (-200)"
I tried reinstalling iTunes 6 as i still had the installer on my hard drive but it just told me it couldnt read the library cos it was written witha later version
so i re installed the later versions and i still get the unknown error

I am trying to install the new itunes on my windows 7 64 bit pc and when its about to finish an error message pops up. Message states "Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'itunes64.msi' in the box below." i go ahead and try to choose a path and it did not work. i tried with bonjour and quicktime and they all state the same message about trying to find the same type of folder. i tried going into control panel and deleting the software and same message comes up. i tried downloading some sort of windows cleanup tool for windows 7 64 bit and got nothing. Anyone out there that can help i would really appreciate it.

Also when I apply the safety copy it only imports the app the phones have had in common, so none of the apps that only the iPhone 4 had doesn't come in, only the ones I and the iPhone 4 has had in common. So you say the only way I can use the Apple ID to download on the old iPhone 4 is if I delete the apps that are in the phone and then download them again? How will that change the ID to download/update from. Won't it still have mine to update/download from?

Decided to update my Iphone 4 to os6 and it locked up. installed new itunes, and did all the usual stuff but I cant even reboot the phone holding down the on off and big button at the same time. The phone is showing a pic saying plug into itunes which down loads 0s6 (81 min) then fails and ask to down load os6 again over and over.

Try DFU Mode Restore. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power button, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes.

Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.

You don't have to install iTunes every time you get a new ipod. You can just plug it in and it will recognize it as a different ipod. Then you can just use the same music you had before and put it on the new ipod
If it says that there's an update for the nano's firmware, just download it. It doesn't do anything to itunes, just updates the ipod

I can't load new itunes and the old itunes no longer works - why?

My old itunes worked perfectly and then just stopped working yesterday. I have tried for 3 hours to install the new version but without success.

- Go to settings>Store and sign out and sign into new account.

- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
