Trying to look up my text message history

Needing to track down some old information from a text message, and I deleted that persons number. Ive been told I can look up my text message history, but I can't seem to find it on the Verizonwireless website.
HELP

All of the sudden my entire text message history was deleted, but if I search for a text it shows up in the results but will not open. How can I restore the old text messages?

I went to text message on my phone and when I looked down my entire text message history was gone. When I sent a text message it showed up as the only box an there was not an Load Older Messages option. But when I page over and search a word or name old messages show up in the results and when I press on them it opens the text message page but there is no text message.

i think that was the problem. i simply downgraded to Firefox 5, not only because of the highlighted text fields, but because i was getting a lot of crash reports whenever i opened multiple tabs. downgrading to Firefox 5 resolved it.

MyVZW text message history

When I look at my text message usage on my account with verizonwireless the only text message history showing up is another verizon customer bur if text messages are from another iphone it does not show up on my usage history. How do I get ALL text messages to show up?

You've reached the right place for assistance! In most cases, the reason behind this is the iMessaging feature on your iPhone. Since these are not standard text messages, they are not reported online. In order to change this you must disable the iMessage feature from your device. To do so, go to Settings>Messaging>Disable iMessage.

Clearing of text messages history

for some reason my blackberry curve just started clearing all my text message history??? i've no idea why or how? in fact, i checked the history option and i have it set to keeping it for 6 months, before it was 3 months, but i never had the problem that all of a sudden all my text messages were cleared, it seems as if it may be on some schedule to clear it all. but how this came about i've no idea as i don't believe that i changed any function and i don't want this happening anymore...
help????

Sometimes happens because you are running the device under low memory.
First of all with the phone turn on take out the battery for 30 seconds and reinstall the battery again.

Print out of text message history!

Hey guys,
Does anyone know how i can get a print out of my entire text message history for one conversation on my iphone 4. I know it is in the phone because i can view it bit by bit if i continue to scroll and hit "view previous messages" but i am in the middle of a legal thing and i desperately need a print out of the history of this one conversation. There has to be a computer genius out there than can help me. There must be a way to export it to my macbook or my email or something. Please if you know anything i would be so grateful. Thank you!

Two Methods:
1. You can put the text messages on your screen like your reading it.. press the lock button and the home button at the same time.. it will take a picture of it and be saved to your photo album.. then upload it to your computer or email it to yourself..it won't be a document but it will be a picture and that's something.
2. use iPhone backp extractor app:
First backup your iPhone to your computer with iTunes, all text messages, contacts will be included in the backp file, but it is an unreadable format, you have to extract them to your computer for print.

Missing Text Message history

I updated my iphone 4 to iOS 6 and now all of my text message history is gone. What happened?

For each contact press and hold your finger over the message you want to delete. A pop up appears then choose More...
You can then choose Delete All from the top left of the screen, or select each message individually on the left then touch delete at the bottom left of the screen to delete just those messages you previously selected.

If you're with Verizon, here's what I found on the boards:
Dial *228, press 1 when the nice lady answers and wait until she tells you your phone has been successfully programmed.
Then hang up, and press the home key twice rapidly and delete the open/running apps that appear there - delete from that second screen, NOT from the Dock at the bottom of your home screen! You don't want to delete the programs, you just want to close the open/running apps.
Wait 5 minutes or so, then voila! Mine was fixed!

As Ann said, it does depend on your phone. One third party app that works on many phones (especially older models, but not all phones) is BitPim ( http://www.bitpim.org/ ) but it can potentially harm/brick your phone if you don't know what you are doing - use it with caution. I have used it successfully to get texts and photos off an old flip phone that was deactivated and had no sd card.
Newer smartphones can download apps that will give you the ability to print out texts.

After restoring my iPhone, photos in my text message history are gone

I recently did a restore on my iPhone (June 27th). I back up to iCloud....
I was going through my text message history, and i noticed that the photos I had sent in them were gone, and I can't seem to recover them. I just see an image with a question mark where they should be. When I try to click it (like I might be able to load it), nothing happens. The text message history is there, but not the images.
I also noticed that some pics I had recently taken were gone from my camera roll. When I restored - they were just gone... They had "spots" for the days they were taken, and when I would click on them, it would say loading, but nothing ever happened.
So, I thought the back up must have been bad, but when I try to go back to that point (27th or prior), I can't - only the 3 most recent backs up there, last night, the 3rd, and the 1st.
I've got an older backup that I did to my computer, I could maybe use that - but that was from May (I normally back up to iCloud). I thought iCloud allowed you to back up several generations - similar to time capsule on a mac.
Anyone else experience this problem? Any suggestions?

Also MMS is supported on a carrier by carrier basis. While mostly every carrier does support ths feature make sure that your carrier allows this functionality.

when i go to my text history i cant see my old text. but it says i have text messages sent and recived

I believe you can only see the current months detail. I believe if you go look at older invoices, the info is gone

I can see three months of info. Log into your account, choose View Bill.
Choose The Usage Detail tab and then one of the last three bills from the drop down menu.
Then choose messaging.

How to look at old text messages

I have a prepaid phone and I was wondering if I could look online at the text messages i received and sent about a month ago. Also too is the number there that i sent and revived too.

If you backed them up the same way you backed up pictures then YES YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THEM TO YOUR PHONE the same way you can download pictures. ANYTHING CAN BE RETRIEVED AS LONG AS YOU BACKED IT UP!!!

Transfer text message history to a new number

My friend has given me a new number. Is it possible to simply update their contact information so that new text messages will be added along with the old number. I want to keep the old messages but I do not want them to be in two different text history folders.

No unfortunately just changing the phone number in their contact won't do that. Text conversations are seperated by number.

Delete text message history / call history

Help has arrived! I understand the importance it is to make sure the text messages are deleted permanently once you delete them form your phone. What make/model phone do you have? What application are you using when you text? Have you ever backed up your phone with Verizon Cloud or set up to back up automatically?
