Trying to loop/repeat a video for a continuous presentation on ipod touch
If anyone could help me out here, I'm trying to display a video from the ipod touch on a projector, it's just a 1 minute loop and so far I have no luck trying to get it to loop. I have tried to set it to repeat in photo libraries and play but it still never starts over. I have tried an app called CWG's Video Loop Presenter which seems to work but only on the ipod, and doesn't project the video into the projector. If you guys could help me out then that would be great. Thank you.
Thank you for the help, I resolved it a few minutes ago by making the video into a music video through the Get Info option and it is now in my Music app and I'm able to loop it just like I would loop a regular song.

Exporting HD video for use on AppleTV and iPod
I use a Canon HV30 HD camcorder. Work in FCE. Also have QTPro. I typically export from FCE as a pure .MOV file, then do my conversions to other formats in QTPro.
To get good quality on my Apple TV, I use QTPro to export to Apple TV. But then that video won't transfer to my iPod Touch, so I have to do another export with QTPro with iPod as my target.
Is there a happy medium that will show good results on the AppleTV and iPod? Obviously this can be done with standard def video because iTunes videos look fine on both. I think the HD is what's getting me.

Is there a way to combine the SD and HD files similar to when you download a movie from itunes how there is one file entry in iTunes for both the SD and HD version. Also I noticed movies and TV you download from iTunes can transfer to your Ipod (even though they are over the ipod specs 320x240). Is there a way to export videos larger than 320x240 and can transfer to the Ipod.

If you have a video in camera roll on the ipod touch is it only videos taken with the actual ipod or is it possible to transfer videos from your computer to the camera roll? The ipod touch was bought in feb. 2011
You can transfer videos from your computer to the iPod Touch, but not to the Camera Roll.
The Camera Roll is for temporary storage only - for photos/videos captured by the iPod Touch and for photos saved from a received email or from a website. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. -
Can't move video and pix files back to iPod Touch from desktop computer
I moved (via drag-and-drop in Windows) video and picture files from an iPod Touch (iOS 5.1.1) to a Windows 7 desktop computer. I want to copy some of them back, but it won't let me drag-and-drop to copy them back to the iPod. How do I get the files back on the iPod? I know that the "disk mode" is not available on the Touch. Also, although the iPod shows up in iTunes on my desktop computer, these video and picture files (Quick Time Movies, JPEGs, etc.) don't show up there. So, I'm out of ideas. A related question: how do I scan the iPod using my Windows 7 desktop computer's anti-virus application (McAfee)? Normally, when I right-click on a device on the desktop computer, it offers me the ability to scan it for viruses. Not only does it not give me this option for the iPod; the iPod doesn't even show up as a hard drive; it shows up in the window as a separate "flavor" of drive. Is there a way to make Windows 7 think that the iPod Touch is just another USB-connected drive; i.e., is there a way to mimic the disk mode option that is available on other models of the iPod other than the Touch?

ThanksWith this sort of thing you have a choice. You can take your chances with the cheap option, or possibly pay more than is necessary, but have what is pretty much a sure thing.
If we were talking maybe a $100 or less MP3 player, I'd say go with the cheap option because the worst that happens is you have to buy a new MP3 player for around $100. Annoying, but generally doable.
With expensive electronics, I'd suggest the sure thing. If you go cheap, and it fries the logic board on the MBP, then you're looking at like $1200 minimum. Probably around $200+ for the iPod, and around $500 for the iPhone. If Apple's gear ends up frying the various devices, Apple would be pretty much obliged to replace them. You buy some third party stuff, they'll just say the fault must have been with the third party adapters, and that you're SOL unless you cough up the cash for a repair/replacement.
So, at the end of the day, is it worth risking around $2,000 worth of equipment just to save a few bucks on a travel adapter? Only you can answer that. -
I tried to sync my Macbook Pro photos in iPhoto with my iPod Touch. I have done this numerous times, but today I got an error message saying the required file cannot be found. At the same time all of my photos on my iPod vanished. Can anyone help me?

What's the proper protocol for a reset on my ipod touch 4g? iOS 6 has totally jacked it up and it will no longer do anything but crash, and won't sync with itunes wirelessly or by cable.
It's a 64G ipod touch and was fine till Apple told me to upgrade to ios 6. Now most of my apps crash, my music won't play and I just get a white screen when I hit Music.
When I try to sync to itunes it acts like it's going to sync and appears to recognize the ipod, but it's grayed out and has an update circle by it that spins for a while until itunes eventually freezes alltogether. I need to authorize my computer for my daughter's new iPod Touch but in the new version of itunes that just upgraded to day there is no "store" menu or "advanced" menu that I can see and I can't see a way to do it. So anything she buys with her i.d. won't transfer. Help!

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us. -

Seems to be an Apple or FB app problem. Nothing you can do but wait for it to be fixed.

I made a mistake of trying to put 5.0.1 beta 1 firmware on my ipod touch 3rd gen ( non-registered) unsuccessfully. Now the ipod doesn't work at all with any public firmware. Any suggestions?
You can try putting the iPod into Recovery Mode and restoring it:

I have tried to update OS from 4.3.5 to latest on Ipod touch but every time after 70% completing an error is prompted and say update cannot be completed. Please check the setting. A movie purchased from iTunes can only be played on iPods, iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs and authorized computers. Even if you transferred the movie to a flash drive, it wouldn't play on your DVD player.

Figured oout that I had restricted deletions of programs.
Settings->General->Restrictions-> (enter your passcode), Turn Deleting Apps ON
Afterward holding an icon until it jiggles will produce the X delete button.
You might want to turn Delete apps OFF after cleaning up. -
