  • Switching Accounts from Creative Cloud to Captivate eLearning Suite

    I have a membership with Creative Cloud and would like to add Captivate because I want to get into eLearning. Unfortunately that is not possible as far as I'm aware because Captivate is not available in Creative Cloud. So I'd like to switch my accounts from Creative Cloud to Captivate eLearning Suite 6.1. I don't want to keep both since it would duplicate the Adobe products I currently use, such as Photoshop, Flash, and Acrobat. Is it possible to switch my present account to Captivate eLearning Suite? Or do I need to cancel one, then sign-up for the other?

    many thanks for your help.
    I tried your steps, but i have no success. After i launch Photoshop in step four, the EULA dialog popus up. I can then use Photoshop. But after i close and reopen it, the dialog extend my membership is shown up.
    If i then click on "License this software" it can use Photoshop until i close it. The message is "Creative Cloud membership is active now ...."
    I tried also the button "retry" then a message shows up "Thanks, your abonnement for Adobe Photoshop CS6 is active. You can click on next ...". Then the dialog extend my membership shows up again and i can't use Photoshop.
    Sorry for the translation of the dialogs, i use the german version, so i don't know the exact words in English.
    I think i have to contact Adobe support or cancel my new membership in the next days.

  • Posso disinstallare Adobe AIR/application manager dopo aver installato Creative cloud?

    Salve, faccio questa domanda per il semplice fatto che:
    1) Quando vi sono gli aggiornamenti, arriva una notifica da entrambi (avevo una suite CS6 e sono passato alla suite CC con il pacchetto completo) e posso sia aprire "il programma di aggiornamento" e sia farlo con Creative cloud, occupa spazio inutile insomma e toglie risorse che possono essere importanti per le altre app;
    2) Quando avvio, ad esempio, Photoshop, application manager mi dice di "completare la registrazione del prodotto", ma creative cloud non ha bisogno di ciò, visto che già le attiva da solo accedendo con il mio account.
    Quindi vi chiedo: Se disinstallo Adobe AIR con conseguente disinstallazione dell'application Manager ed utilizzo SOLO Creative Cloud... posso farlo? O potrebbero esserci problemi?

    Problema risolto. Per chi, come me, aveva bisogno di aiuto e cercava risposte in questa domanda, potete tranquillamente disinstallare Adobe AIR se non avete installato Adobe Muse CC.

  • Am i the only one who when trying to enter the code for creative cloud activation ?

    I give up,i have been trying to activate a 3 month subscription for CS6 from Staples and every time i try the code it will not work.  I have used the chat live and spent about 3 hours already going nowhere.  I do not like talking on the phone to some help desk overseas and the only thing i think left to do is to return the junk.

    I tried all that and even took a picture of the numbers and blew them up so a blind person could read them and had 3 others read them off.  A simple way to fix the problem is get someone on Adobes staff to find a font that most people can read from whatever product the stick it to.

    Hey John,
    Not sure if it helps or not, but I know sometimes with codes like that its really hard to tell certain characters apart, O - like in Oscar versus 0 - number and number 1 versus lowercase L like in Lima.
    Might test entering it both ways if you have any suspect characters?

    [ Mac 10.9.3 / Indesign CC update fail / Premiere update fail / Adobe Media Encoder 7.2.2 update fail ]
    Adobe Media Encoder was the problem for me. There's no separate uninstaller for AME. My ID CC and Premiere couldn't be updated (for the AME7.2.2 update as the only change). MCMHMPEGVideoCodec.framework seemed to be the factor.
    I uninstalled Premiere (only), after having manually removed MCMHMPEGVideoCodec.framework from inside AME. After boot I installed it again and voilà, both (ID & Premiere) updates went trough fine. The MCMHMPEGVideoCodec.framework was on place inside AME too.

    If the order is complete you should be able to generate the invoice from 'My Orders' page on adobe.com. if in case you are facing issues I would suggest you to contact support over the phone or chat so that the representative can investigate the issue.

  • How do I enter CS6 license key when Adobe Application Manager immediately tries to authenticate against my expired Creative Cloud membership?

    I have CS6 Master Suite installed along side my now-expired Creative Cloud apps (I am evaluating whether to renew my subscription at this time). Both CS6 and Creative Cloud are currently unlicensed due to a snafu with my educational license, but I have a new CS6 license that I am trying to register CS6 with. However, upon launching any CS6 program, Adobe Application Manager then launches and tells me that my Creative Cloud membership is now expired. How/where to I enter my CS6 license key? I have already tried entering my new license on my Adobe account profile > “My products and services”, and reinstalled CS6 applications from my original disk image (MasterCollection_CS6_LS16.dmg).

    Figured this one out from another thread, after which I was able to sign in again with my Adobe ID and my software was ready to use:
    Windows:
    Delete these folders
    SLStore from C:\ProgramData\Adobe
    SLCache from C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
    OOBE from C:\Users\(Your Username)\AppData\Local\Adobe
    Mac:
    Delete SLStore and SLCache from /Library/Application Support/Adobe
    Delete OOBE from ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe

    However, when I went to actually cancel my individual account, it says here: "you are charged 50% of the remaining amount left on your contract."
    So what I need to know is, HOW? I don't want to cancel and then get charged.
    Do I really have to sit on the phone and wait to talk to a customer service representative?
    PS: I just spent 15 minutes on a "live chat" with someone who had no idea what I was talking about and started asking me what my order number was.

If you cancel your membership before meeting the 12-month commitment date, you will be charged 50% of the remaining amount left on your contract.

    Can you please check the permissions on the following folders and confirm if you have full Read & Write permission or not. If not, please give full permission and that should fix the problem.
    1) /Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe
    2) ~/Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe
    3)/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager
    4) /Utilities/Creative Cloud Desktop Application.
