Trying to manually synch outlook notes to iPhone 5S

I am trying to manually synch outlook notes to iPhone 5S, but info tab in iTunes keeps telling me that I am synching using the cloud.  The iCloud setting on the phone for notes is turned off and the notes are set to use phone as default account setting.  Why does itunes insist I am synching via iCloud, when I am not? The majority of my notes are created in outlook, and as iCloud only synch iOS created notes, iCloud synching doesn't work for me.
Thanks for any advice.
Warren

Hi Warren Hart,
I sounds like you have syncing turned on in the iCloud Control Panel for Outlook which would disallow you from manually syncing your notes onto your iPhone. You can see the setting in the picture here:
iCloud Control Panel 3.1 for Windows
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455
If you want your notes to sync through iCloud, you will want to backup your iPhone, then turn on iCloud syncing of Notes in your iCloud settings on your iPhone, at which point you will have two accounts in Notes: one for “On my iPhone,” and one for “iCloud.”
If you wish to sync your notes manually, simply uncheck the setting in the iCloud Control Panel for Outlook syncing, and you will be able to sync your notes through iTunes to Outlook.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Have a good one!

I have been able to synch mail, calendar, tasks and contacts from Outlook on my PC to my iPad.  However, notes in Outlook will not synch to the iPad.  I am trying to synch my Notes in Outlook to my ipad via a USB connection. The iPad indicates it is going through the 5-6 synching steps, but no data shows up in the Notes app on the iPad.  Any suggestions.

  • Can I import Outlook notes to iPhone

How can I import Notes from Microsoft Outlook 2007 into iPhone?

A workaround I use with Outlook 2003 notes to get them on my iPhone is to create a series of contacts with the name AAAxxx, where xxx is the name of each note you want to add. Then copy the content of each note into the note section of the corresponding contact and it will sync along with your contacts and put all of your "notes" together at the top of your contact list. Or you could use ZZZxxx and put them at the bottom. Kinda kludgy but it works and my notes are now on my iPhone. I assume this would work with Outlook 2007 notes as well.

  • From MS Outlook Notes to IPhone Notes

What is the easiest way to transfer notes from MS Outlook Notes to my IPhone notes?
    Please help,
I have about 100 notes and do not want to retype them.

Syncing with Outlook may be a future capability.
For the short-term, have hope. Leopard is rumored to sync with Notes.

  • Icloud sync only works between mac pro and windows outlook, not with iphone and ipad anymore

    Hi
Can anyone help me with my problem?
I do have icloud installed on my MacBookPro, on my Windows Outlook computer, on my iPad 2 and on the iPhone 4S.
Now until yesterday everything synchronized perfectly well.
Then I created some groups on my MacBookPro address book and since then (I believe that was when it started) icloud no longer synchs from and to the ipad and the iphone. It still works between the Mac and Windows Outlook.
On the iPad/iPhone I have tried everything but it still won't do. I have even reset the whole iPad and obviously lost all data and tried again. I all sometimes get is a few contacts back into the address book on the ipad. But only a limited number, not all.
Also, to delete the icloud account on the ipad/iphone is sometimes not possible. It just hangs and I can see the message "Deleting..." for ever.
    Anyone an idea?
    Thanks in advance!

One more comment. Wired connection seem to be stable neither. I have ping running to the Windows computer and after a couple of minutes, it gets broken.
However if I have both WiFi and cable connection to the home router and disconnect from cable (after ping is broken), I get the network to the Windows comptuer back. Nothing serious on the network change, I just get 192.168.1.x instead of 192.168.1.y as IP).
During this network switch I do nothing with the Windows computer.
This is not valid if I want to connect to the Windows computer via Microsoft sharing (smb://192.168.1.x), then it immediately breaks the connection. Can't get it back until Windows is restarted.
    Getting lost...

  • How do i sync outlook notes with iphone notes?

I need to sync notes from Outlook 2010 to my iphone note section and back again.  I want the same notes to appear on all my devices.
Windows 7, Macbook Pro, iPad and iPhone 4.
    Any suggestions?

    Hiya All,
I am hoping I can offer a little help to your issues with Notes Syncing.
I am using latest version of Itunes and Latest Iphone 4 software on a WINDOWS pc (Windows 7 Ultimate)  and I am using Microsoft Office 2010.
If you want to sync your notes, as with previous messages on this topic, you'll need to ensure that on the info page of Itunes after you've connected your phone to sync, that you select or tick the box which asks you to sync notes with Outlook.
Once done - open up your Outlook programme.
The first thing to ensure is that the notes you want to sync are NOT archived. I have found to the point of great frustration, that Itunes will not sync notes which are in your archived notes folder. This is clearly labelled on the left hand side of the notes pane in outlook. If your notes are archived, you need to move them into your Notes (or current notes) folder. Simple cut and paste works here.
Once done - simply go back to itunes and select sync again and see if they appear in the notes section of your phone after the process has been completed..
I am sure you're all aware that the notes on/off button in Settings/Mail/Contacts/Calendars only appears if you are running an IMAP account. You will not (or should not) find this option available with SMTP accounts. This however should still work using the same process.
I hope that this helps in some small way.
    Happy syncing

  • How do I manually synch itunes to my iPhone ?

    Hi
I have an iphone 5 and macbook pro with all the software updates done inc IOS7 and want to be able to plug my iphone in to my macbook and manually sort and load up specific songs.
I used to be able to see how to do it when I used my old 3G with my old Powerbook.
Am I missing something obvious ??
    Many thanks
    Tony

I use iTunes Match on my iPhone but not with my iPad. I don't see that iOS 7 changes how I sync songs with the iPad. I choose my playlists, individual albums, artists or genres. I can also manually drag songs from iTunes onto the music folder of my iPad.

  • How to transfer Windows Outlook Notes to iPhone?

I have many notes in outlook that I need to transfer to my iPhone. Retyping each note is not a valid option. Has anyone come up with a solution?

Try PogoNotes. Though it doesn't sync and does require connecting via Safari, you can have access to that information...

Enable Contact syncing in iTunes and then sync.

  • My iCal synch does not include iPhone entered events

I am not sure if this error started with OS7 update to iPhone or some other change/new computer (I am using OSX/Mountain Lion on a MacBook Air purchased 6/2013). If I enter an event on iCal on the MacBook it synchs w iphone but not vice versa... I typically enter/edit events on my phone, so my iCal on the MacBook is completely out of date for events starting sometime in the summer. Older events Sprin 2013 and earlier were synched properly... I got a new computer, OS on phone, etc. Not sure how to resolve.

  • Sync Outlook 2003 with iPhone 3GS and 4

    Hello community,
I hope, I've placed my Issue on the right place in this forum.
There're some major issues, where I need some answers. And I really hope, anyone of you can help me to find it.
    Requirements:
In our Firm, we use Windows XP SP3 with Office 2002 (except Outlook, we needed to upgrade it to 2003...Don't ask why...). iTunes Versions 10.1 and 10.2 are installed on several computers. (do you need the exact version?)
    Problem:
I've read about some problems, synchronize the calendar, using Outlook 2003 and iTunes. Now most of the time, when the customer calls us on our hotline, it's the same problem they're complaning about. The calendar won't synchronize with the iPhone, only the contacts. Now what I found out, it's mostly the series schedule, which isn't working properly. If I put out those schedules, the other "normal" calendar entries are working fine. And then I gotta put every single series schedule into the calendar and synchronize. Then I find out, which entry is corrupt.
We've also tried to delete the synch. history and such, but there wasn't any success.
My question now: Is this problem well known out there? Or am I the only one who got this problem. If it's known, is there any better solution? Is there maybe a patch or an update? Is the Outlook 2007 or higher better for synchronisations?
I hope to get some answers. If there are any further questions, please feel free to ask me.
    With kind regards,
    PSchmid88

    Here's a Possible FIX!!
I ran into the same problem - Not able to Sync Outlook Notes after I upgraded my iPhone OS to 4.0 with iTunes 9.2.
Here's what I did to get that fix (aka to get around it).
I pretty much did all the standard procedure stuff. i.e. reinstalled iTunes, check and uncheck all Outlook related issues on iTunes.
The last thing that I did was to use an IMAP email account to bring Outlook Notes into iPhone.
** Try to do the standard procedures suggest by Apple and other users first. If it doesn't work, try this.
    1) Create an IMAP account on your OUTLOOK (I have Outlook 2007).
    2) Set up a SAME IMAP account on your iPhone.
    3) On your iPhone, you will see two switches (mails and notes), be sure both are "ON".
    4) Sync your iPhone and Outlook (be sure to check the "Sync Notes with Outlook" box.
    5) As usual, there is no guaranteed it will work the first time, but play around with it.
At least it works for me at last (after 5 hours of struggles).
Apple is not any help at all.
