Trying to open torbundle on my MacBook Pro and getting message "a copy of firefox is already running" ?

Keep getting the same message, "a copy of firefox is already running. cant run more than one copy at a time." Ive tried closing all safari related programs (forcing them and waiting). Ive tried making a new user account. Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Why didn't you also close Firefox? The error message makes no mention of Safari. Have you checked the Force Quit window to determine if Firefox is running? Tried shutting down or restarting your computer?

Actually you need to quit Safari which is different from closing. With Safari open go the menu bar for Safari/Quit Safari.

Your machine already has Mavericks installed. Why are you trying to download it?

Do you have a retail disc with a picture of a Snow Leopard on it, or is it a gray disc? If it's gray, did it come with the machine you're trying to install on? If it came with a different Mac, it won't work.

Try on a different computer. If you get this error again, go to an Apple store or call AppleCare. I've only seen this error once, & I was unable to solve it. Took the phone to the genius bar & they replaced the phone.

Just figured it out! Here it goes:
Click on where you find the little AirPort sign (on iMac it is on top right hand side next to the date and time).
Go down to: Open Network Preferences
Click on: Advanced
Then on DNS
Then click on the + sign and put the following numbers: 8.8.8.8
click again on the + sign and put: 8.8.4.4

I was able to use firefox, but all my bookmarks and history disappeared. Also, the forward and back arrow and refresh buttons weren't working. Every time that I try to use Firefox 4, Firefox 3 pops up on the Dock and tries to start up. I get the error message "A copy of Firefox is already open. Windows error notice when trying to open ELEMENTS download in MacBook Pro

I successfully downloaded ELEMENTS 11 onto my Mac desktop, and it works fine. I then attempted downloading onto my MacBook Pro, and it appeared to download all elements of the bundle appropriately. However, when I try to open ELEMENTS, it shows a box (like DOS language) and tells me I can only open it in windows. What do I need to do to correct this?

I attempted downloading my second copy direct from Adobe. It went through
the process of "downloading bundles" etc, took about 30-45 minutes to
complete, then gave me an "Installation Successful" message. However, there
is no Elements application icon on the computer, and I cannot find anywhere
the program downloaded to. There are only two files showing in "Downloads",
and they are PhotoshopElements_11_LS15.exe and .7z, 1.3 MB and 1.06 GB
respectively. Clicking the .exe file brings up a msg saying "this program
must be run under Win32, and the 7z file comes up with the message that
there is no application to open the document. Other than that, there are no
other Photoshop/Adobe application files to be found.

Can't watch Netflix on new Macbook Pro and getting error message.

I recently got a new MacBook Pro and I am new to using Macs. I logged into Netflix and clicked on a movie but I get a message saying "An unknown error has occured". I tried setting up the device or whatever but where am I supposed to get the code? I tried the 6 numbers at the bottom of the site and nothing works. Am I supposed to download Silverlight for Netflix to work on this computer? As I've said before, I do not know anything about Macs and I am not computer savvy and I just need to know how to get Netflix going on this computer. I had searched on Google if Netflix could even be played on a Mac and it's my understanding that one is able to view Netflix on a Mac. Please help. Thanks.
