Trying to order a book and getting message "Unavailable Images Detected in Book"  How do I fix

I am trying to order a book for a Holiday gift.  It is giving me the following message:
Unavaible Images Detected in book
One or more of the images in your book are not presently available at full resolution. Please reconnect to these files by mounting the volume(s) containing the original images.
I have read a bit about doing this through Reconnecting to an offline refenced image and tried this with the majority of the images that I am having trouble with but after I hit done I get the same picture again that is casuing the issue.  All of the pictures have been improted via dropbox, emails, scans, or a portable drive.  None of the pictures that came directly from my camera are the issue.
How do I fix this?  I do not understand the way in which Aperature files or stores my pictures.  Do I need to relocate them to an Aperture file somewhere?  Can I export a version into Apertures file to then put that newer picture in my book?
How can I import pictures better for the future so this doesnt happen again?
Thanks, Trina

Trina,
you are saying, only the images from Drop box, email, etc, are missing:
All of the pictures have been imported via dropbox, emails, scans, or a portable drive.
What were the settings you used when importing? i.e. the "Store Files" pop-up menu in the "Aperture Library" brick of the "Import" panel.
Did you move the image files into your Aperture library, picked a folder on your system drive, or did you pick "In their current location"? With the last setting, your images will be only available, if the drive is connected, where you imported them from, and if no other application moves them around. Do not use  "In their current location", if you are importing from a drive, that you want to remove again, or when you are importing from the network, from your drop box folder, or from Mail.
Can I export a version into Apertures file to then put that newer picture in my book?
You cannot export versions, if the referenced file is missing. First you need to reconnect (again).
To fix this, locate the original files you imported (in your Dropbox, in your Mail), reconnect them again like you did before, and then let Aperture move them to a safe place on your system drive. You can either use the "File > Consolidate Original" command (this will move the files into your Aperture library) or use  "File > Relocate  Original" to move them to a folder on your system drive.
I do not understand the way in which Aperature files or stores my pictures.
Perhaps Kirby Krieger's excellent User Tip will help you to understand Aperture's filesystem better:

Post back, if we can give more help.
