Trying to order creative cloud but VAT number is showing as invalid
Ordering system keeps having issue with my company VAT number, though other online sites have verified that it is correct.
I've tried variations too, like prefixing with IE, IE <SPACE> but nothing works. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Trying to download creative cloud but it says a copy is already running
I'm trying to download creative cloud but it says a copy is already running on my mac. Checked and closed all programs and I still get the same message
It means some or few files are running in the back ground, you can close them from Task manager (Windows) or Activity Monitor(Mac).
In case you have difficulty in identifying the processes being run for CC, the best way would be to close the computer completely which shall close all the processes, once you turn on the computer, download CC first.

You are already running another installer
Only one Adobe Creative Suite 5 or CS5.5 installation can run a time. Otherwise, one of the following error messages appears:
“You are already running another Adobe installer. Please close other installer and select Retry option.”
“Other instances of Adobe Application Manager are running. To continue, installer needs to close those instances. Do you want to continue?”
Click Quit (for the first message) or No (for the second message) to exit the installer.
Close other Adobe setups:
Windows
Right-click the taskbar and select Task Manager.
Select the Processes tab, and select Show Processes From All Users.
Select any PDapp.exe or setup.exe process, and click End Process.
Repeat for all additional instances of PDapp.exe or setup.exe processes.
Mac OS
Press Command + Option + Esc.
In the Force Quit Applications window, select PDapp or Adobe Setup and click Force Quit.
Repeat for all additional instances of the applications.
Retry the installer.

I bought creative cloud but it's not showing up in my account
I noticed the sale on at the moment and thought it was about time to move on from CS2 and get with the times.
I went through the process of signing up with my university email to make an adobe account, filled in my payment details and received an email order confirmation for a yearly prepaid subscription. I installed the creative cloud app and installed a few of the different programs to check them out, but when I run them I'm told they're all trial versions, and I need to enter a serial number to register them.
Ok, I thought, where do I find that? A quick bit of googling showed me I should be able to find them at https://www.adobe.com/account/my-products-services.edu.html so I headed over, but lo and behold, apparently I don't have a subscription! The whole thing is empty.
Can someone check and see if there's a problem with my order or my account? I'm a little concerned by it, as RM585 isn't exactly a small sum of money, I'd hate to have had it sucked out of my card and received nothing in return.For anyone with similar problems that comes across this, here's what happened next ...
Following the link from kglad, I entered a chat with an Adobe rep, who checked my account and then forwarded me to a technical rep.
The technical rep had me copy/paste my hosts file into the chat and empty it. After a minute he said there was nothing in it that should conflict and I can put it back to how it was (so I did).
Next up I was asked to close the cloud app and go to the "%localappdata%/Adobe/OOBE" folder (windows machine, not mac, so YMMV). There I was instructed to delete opm.db and then re-open photoshop (the tool I was first trying to get running). It worked perfectly after that and I have since installed a whole bunch of stuff.

You can try this:
Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud.
For Windows:
Open the Windows Control Panel > Programs And Features.
For MAC:
Open Finder and go to /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.
After Uninstall navigate to the OOBE folder.
Windows: C Drive\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
Delete OOBE folder.
Download Creative Cloud Reinstall and Sign in .

Trying to purchase Creative Cloud, but I can't get past step 4 of checkout
It just hangs, and hangs. tried on 3 different computers (2 macbook pros and an iMac).
see screenshotstill doing it, with one noticeable difference - the checkout told me that the address didn't match the credit card and i had to re-enter the CC info. Once I did that it went to step 4 and stayed there again.

Yes you can avail the discounted prices even you are upgrading the product just for two users. You can use the serial number for your Creative Suite 5 product.

I have downloaded Creative Cloud and then InDesing CC, but when I tried to activate the product in the Adobe accounts web page I get the error "Invalid serial number"

First of all Creative Cloud ENT is an Enterprise volume serial number so it cannot be registered under retail account.
There is different method for using CCE serial number, install and activating programs.
Please refer the following help article on how to create serialized package for Enterprise customer.

As you have already installed InDesign CC and Creative Cloud Desktop app then next you need to signed out from Creative Cloud first and
create License File using Creative Cloud Packager.

Run this license file on end user machine. it will fix the license issue.

How do I get back "devellopment" in Lightroom 5. It has been disabled after I have downloaded a trialversion of Creative Cloud but did not purchase it.
Uninstall the trial version of the creative cloud. This process will not interfere with your catalog, preferences and personal files it will just remove the application.
Download the Perpetual License version of LR 5.6 at the link below. Install and enter your serial number, voila.
