Trying to package InDesign file, gets missing plugin error
I've been trying to package this magazine and it keeps telling me i'm missing this external plugging called 'asset management.InDesignPlugin'. when i try googling it i can't find anything.
If Peter's solution does not help, here's another way, because the missing plugin might just be incorrectly registered or not at all:
1. Find the location of your Indesign preferences file, copy it to a safe place, delete the original.
2. Start Indesign - it will re-register all plugins. Close Indesign again.
3. Write back the saved prefs file to the original location.

PDF files cannot be opened in InDesign.
InDesign files which are not able to be opened might come from a newer version, you might ask for an IDML file, but better to upgrade to the same version. -
When packaging an InDesign file get missing plug-in error msg?
When going to package an InDesign file, we get a message about missing a plug-in, and the only option is to hit "OK" which stops the packaging process. The info on the (missing???) plug-in says: SMD Channels Model.SDK.inDesign plug-in.

I had a Microsoft tech access my computer remotely to resolve issues with my hotmail acct. There were files that needed to be deleted and he also changed some settings.
Later, when I tried to open InDesign I received the following error:
AMT Subsystem Failure
The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall or call customer support.
I rebooted the computer and tried again:
Licensing for this product has stopped working.
You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help.
I can access Acrobat and MS Office programs, it's just the CS3 programs that I can't access. Can I uninstall and then reinstall CS3 without an access (un-lock) code?Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -
I have an InDesign file that has a bleed. When I packaged the file, the Report text file listed Bleed as being zero. ln Document Setup the bleed is 1/4 inch on all 4 sides. The only way I was able to get the correct bleed setting to show in the report file was to go to File > Print, take the check off of Use Document Bleed Settings, and type in the bleed.
Why would the correct bleed not be listed in the Report file if the document set up has a bleed setting?I think what happens when Use Document Bleed Settings is selected at print time, InDesign looks at the Document Setup "on the fly." It doesn't actually enter any values in the bleed boxes, so there's nothing there that gets saved with the document. When you enter the values yourself, the settings become a fixed part of the print output dialog and are saved with the document.
If it helps: in all the years I've received packaged InDesign files from clients, I have never once paid attention to the "Print Settings" section of the report; there's nothing there that's relevant to the printer (that's me!).
Maybe a good feature request would be to eliminate the Print Settings in the report and list the Document Setup values instead.
One last thing: there may be a good reason for you to send the packaged native files to your printer, but the best workflow (if possible) would be to export a PDF for the printer and not bother with the packaged InDesign files at all.

ever since i "upgraded" to yosemite i can't run illustrator (i'm getting a plugin error "Photoshopimport.aip" and "PhotoshopExport.aip" message... i've tried to get support (no longer available for cs4 design premium!!!... i've uninstalled and reinstalled... the problem persists... can anyone at adobe provide guidance, orientation, help?... thank you kindly,

Saving as .IDML does not fix missing plugins error message
Hello,
I am having trouble rectifying a "Missing Plugins" error message.
I create an InDesign file using CS5 and am providing the file for a client of mine who is using CS3. I have saved the file as an .IDML to ensure it is reverse compatible.
When attempting to open the file, my client receives the following Missing Plugins error.
Missing Plugins:
WorldReady.InDesignPlugin
Dynamic Documents.InDesignPlugin
Conditional Text.InDesignPlugin
My client's version of CS3 and my version of CS5 are both "up to date."
Any additional suggestions to fix this issue so that I can provide a file my client can open?

I have bought a 3gs on ebay but it still has the password. I have tried to restore but keep getting a 3914 error on restore. Can anybody help?

Error 1004, 1013, 1638, 3014, 3194: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. FollowiTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.
Error 3194: You may not have the latest version of iTunes installed Update to the latest version of iTunes. If the issue persists, follow the steps above in "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com". -
I tried downloading iTunes to my computer. It gives me an error where it says can not find iTunes Helper. I uninstalled all iTunes, restarted my computer, and then tried again. I keep getting the same error everyime. What can I do?
Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2 (Windows error 2).

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR suitable for your PC (there's a 32-bit Windows version and a 64-bit Windows version). Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, see if iTunes will launch without the error now.

My Itunes quit functioning so I removed it and when I tried to reload i keep getting a runtime error. Program: C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\itunes\itunes.exe. R6034. Any suggestions?
