As part of my message reads above; I keep getting an i-tunes update message and when I click on the OK to download it, I get an error message saying there was a problem and I need to go to Tools>manual download. Well, I don't know how to do that even though I gave it my best try. I went to the support sight and it had the following message;
1. Remove iTunes and related components from the Control Panel
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order. Then, restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)

I having problems saying i need to upgrade my flash player and when i do nothing happens
I cant seem to get flash player to work. I just got a new macbook pro a couple days ago and some videos and programs dont work. It say "missing plu in" the ill click on a link and get directed to adobe flash. I downloaded it but still nothing works.
You downloaded it, but did you actually properly install it? Go to your Downloads folder, locate the Flash file (which will be called something.dmg), double-click to open. It should open a new window - if not, check for a new "Install Flash" image on your Desktop. DOuble-click that to open, locate the installer inside it and double-click one more time. You should get a dark window with a prompt to close all browsers if they're open; you should be asked if you want Adobe to install updates automatically (you should choose this), and then proceed with the update. You'll also be asked for your Mac's admin login and password. Once that's all done, re-open Safari and check back with the sites that weren't working earlier.

please help!If you've forgotten the passcode and it's now locked then you will need to connect the iPad to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) , and you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808

I accidentally installed the Babylone search engine tool bar while dowloading a program and when I realized that Firefox had been substituded I tried to get back and even ran a restore for the system. Since then, everytime I try to reisnstall Firefox, there is a message that says that Firefox can harm my system and when I ignore it, it says that maybe I don't have permits or licenses for it. I am frustrates as even the menu bar from my alternative search engine, Google Chrome, has disappeared.
Please write back and tell me what to doYou may also need to create a new profile in case more files were damaged by closing down Firefox that way.

IMac will play DVDs but not CDs
My 2009 iMac will play DVDs but not CDs (bought music CDs and burnt CDs). The last time I tried (successfully) was December 2013. Can anyone help?
Start a new topic and don't hijack this one. You're problem is different from the OPs. When you start the new topic give your system version, iMac year and model and what type of CDs you can't read, i.e. commercial or those you created yourself. Also if you can read DVDs.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

DVD Player plays DVDs but will not play VIDEO_TS files from my hard drive
When logged into my home account DVD Player plays DVDs but will not play VIDEO_TS files that are on my hard drive. I get an error message: "there was a problem opening the media. Media type is not supported." When logged in as "root" DVD player does play these same files. Also, when logged in to my home account, I can play these same files in VLC.

But the gist of the fix is to delete or rename "~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist" and let the DVD Player build a new one. It seems that this is caused by a migrated PPC preference that borks DVD Player 5 on Intel Macs, which is what just happened to me. Hope this helps. -

I have a Imac G5 with a superdrive and if will play DVD but not CD. Anyway i can fix this?
Two ways that might fix it (the superdrive uses different lasers for CDs and DVDs):
1. Clean the superdrive with a proprietary lens cleaner that uses tiny brushes.

Make sure that all of your music is in iTunes. Once you have made sure that all of the music that is on your phone is on the computer that you sync with, go to Settings>General>Usage, slide your finger from left to right across the music portion, delete the library, restart the phone, then sync the library back to your phone via iTunes.

Again, Apps will always be tied to the account from which they were purchased and will always have to be updated using that account.
