Trying to play Garageband back through Piano

Is this possible? I have my keyboard set up so that whatever I play goes through Garageband. This works perfectly fine, I can use Garageband as a sort of synthesizer like I want. Now I'm wondering if there's anyway I can use the MIDI In port on my keyboard to make the sounds play back through my piano instead of my laptop speakers. Anybody have any suggestions?
I've tried using midiO, but the instruction for that set-up is for an outdated version of Garageband. I'm under the impression that you can no longer access "further Details" for instrument tracks.

i'm afraid that's not physically possible (with any computer or any software). read the entry about trying to record a keyboard's sounds on a MIDI track, it's the same reason in reverse:

It can come about without any change done by the user, and it's not just from other networks. The placement of the router can also affect performance. Also make sure router is up to date.
Apart from that would be the reboots.

Playing video back through iMovie

This question could also be posted for any version of iMovie. It's not deal breaker, just really annoying.
When I play back video shot off of my new Canon HDV 1080i, the video works fine, but the audio doesn't play through my computer. I have to open the little viewfinder "door" of the camera, so that I can hear the audio played back through the camera speaker. That's fine, except the audio and video aren't in sync, and are off for a few seconds.
Once I import it, I can play it back fine through my iMac speakers, its just when previewing the tape from the camera through the iMac if that makes sense.
Any idea what the problem could be?

It seems as if the camera just wasn't compatible. I'm buying a new one.

Trying to play iPhone library through iTunes on my work computer

I have my iPhone synced with my home computer. I authorized my computer at work (HP laptop) in iTunes with my iPhone connected and recognized. When I click on the iPhone in iTunes, I can see all of the music, but it is grey and you can't click on any of the songs. I just want to be able to play the songs, not transfer them. If anyone knows how to do this, I would really appreciate your help.

I am trying to play a movie through iPad to tv

I bought the right cable to connect to iPad to TV but the tv keeps saying to turn airplay on. I have looked through all my settings to play a movie from iPad to movie and everything is plugged in correctly from the directions. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong or an easier way I might be missing? Thank you

Make sure you uncheck [√] Mirrored displays, so that you can set the resolution for your external and built-in displays separately.
Use system preferences to choose resolutions (not the menubar item) to get access to all resolutions supported by your projector.

Photobooth not playing video back

Hi, so I just upgraded from Lion to Mountain Lion.
I recorded a video in Photobooth, but when I tried to play it back, all I got was a blank, black screen and no audio either.
Photographs are fine, it's just videos.
I tried opening the video in iMovie and it played just fine, so I guess there's something wrong with Photobooth.
This problem has only arisen after I updated from Lion to Mountain Lion.
Is there anyone else experiencing the same/similar problem?
Apple please fix this/tell me what I'm doing wrong..

Maybe you should take your question to the Mountain Lion forum. Photo Booth video and audio working just fine for me running 10.8.

1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

Trying to play movie via quicktime..no sound

Hello. I am trying to play a movie through quick time and the movie plays perfectly fine but it does not have any sound. Does anybody know what I would have to do to fix that? My quick time is version 7.0.3

First of all, What format is your movie in? Sometimes, quicktime has problems understanding a movie in an unsupported format, that's probably your case.

Trying to play movie thru mini DVI port - display keeps switching back to desktop(?)

I'm not able to play a movie continously to my TV through the dvi port (via hdmi cable) using display mirroring. Picture shows up OK, but after the movie runs a very short time attention shifts back to the iTunes control screen. I've successfully mirrored the display on a TV before, but not tried to play a movie until now. After messing with all the perturbations for a couple of hours, now I can't even get the picture to show up, though everything appears to be acting the same as it was. The movie plays fine on the computer w/o mirroring. I've also tried copying the movie onto my iPad and running the movie from it, but get a message that it's not legal to do so (movie bought via iTunes downloaded onto the iMac (2008; 20-inch; 2.4GHz).

Drag applications from your main desktop off the right side of the screen and they will appear on the TV. This is the extended desktop mode.

Playing midi through piano-speakers

embarassing problem;
i create a midi-roll, try to play it back, and it plays through the built-in speakers of my digital-piano (via USB).
Thing is, only option i have in Preferences - Devices - Core Audio is "Built-in input" and "Built-in output".
How to i get the track to play through my on-board soundcard?

You will need a cable which connects from the audio out (headphone plug) at the back of the computer. This is a 3.5 mini stereo plug. Typically this comes in a Y adapter style that has RCA female ends. These ends then connect to a standard RCA cable. Get the length you need to reach your stereo and utilize one of the line inputs on your stereo.

Yes, first try deleing both songs.
If still problem
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, ,make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I just had the same problem. Took the first unit back and the problem is still occuring on the second one. I solved it by setting up again with the USB, but it keeps dropping out every few days.

Are you using HDMI or an Apple Airplay Module to go to the TV Speakers?
If you are using an HDMI it's straight through output. The internal speakers are disabled.
If you are using an Airplay Module:
- Go on iTunes
- Locate the Airplay icon that has a TV with an up arrow icon much like your iPhone has for Bluetooth
- Click on that and Airplay to ModuleName
