First than all, check your video input (TV Video), check in all possible channels, and make sure the HDMI is plugged in correctly. If you did plug it in correctly, and checked all possible channels of Video Input, and it doesn't appear, you should try rebooting your MacBook Pro (with the HDMI disconnected), after it's back on, try plugging it in back again. If the problem persists, I recommend you to go to a Certified Apple Store, and have them check it.

I have a black Apple TV that has recently stopped working. It loads the Apple Logo on screen then goes off and starts again. It's as if it is stuck in a loop. I've tried a re-boot and this has failed. I have tried a restore using a USB cable on 5 different computers, including a Mac Book Pro and it downloads the update file but when it tries to restore I get the error code 9 showing on screen. I just can't get it to do anything.

I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?! -
Mac OSX 10.5.8 system. Problems have been ongoing with the Firefox I had installed a while ago: would open browser in Safari, and FF would take over; keep asking me to personalize my browser program. In truth, Firefox was kind of "taking over", and I wasn't happy with it. Usually open the internet in Safari.
Present problems started with trying to download, install and open a few new games. Kept telling me I needed to install Adobe Flashplayer. I could download it, but it wouldn't install. Downloaded both the Flashplayer installer AND the Flashplayer uninstaller a number of times. Today, I decided to get rid of the Firefox on my hard drive and download a newer version - then try again to download Flashplayer and install. The Adobe Flash Player forum works very much like email except there are a lot of "threads". A thread is what each message you see is called. Everyone that registers can start their own thread (subject). Then other people see it and can post to your thread and try to help you with your problem.
You did pretty good, you registered, and you started your first thread
Now do you feel somewhat more relaxed? Hope so.
Take a look now and see if you can find the Post# and etc that I described above.

Firefox keeps trying to upgrade to 5 but every time it does it just get stuck trying to download and I end up closing it down with out upgrading???

Thank you for your suggestion. I downloaded and ran all 3 of the scans from Malwarebytes; and although it did find and I did delete items from my computer, (so it was still helpful) it did not fix the problem I'm having with Flash.
I have run malware, spyware and anti-virus scans. I've cleared my cache's and checked for anything in my programs as well as checked my Applications list in Firefox.
I'm completely at a loss for what to do!

I just purchased a new iPhone and I am not able to get into my iCloud. When I plugged it into my computer, I used iTunes to get my phone up and running. Well it gave me my old apple ID as my info. Now I cannot get into anything because I don't remember my old password and when I go to the website to recover my password it is of no help cause I don't remember any security questions(over 8 years old) and that email account don't even exist anymore. Now when I go to try I cloud on my new phone all it keeps doing is trying to verify my old iTunes and won't let me use my new apple ID to sign in it keeps sAying to type in my old password from my old apple ID that I just don t have. Can anybody help me?

i am literally fuming over this.
First off. i purchased an album for preorder when i didnt have money in my account.
now i have money in my account and it wont fricking download. ive tried turning on automatic pre orders i've signed in and out ive done all that crap and it still just says purchased.
second, i can't download ANYTHING to itunes. i JUST purchased two new songs and it will not download them to itunes. i keep clicking on the little fricking cloud button but nothing happens. if itunes just took my money and wont give me my songs i am going to freak out someone please help meAre you logged into her iTunes account using her Apple ID on the iPad? Settings>Store>Apple ID?
If you are, you could try restarting the iPad and try again, maybe that will reset everything - and maybe it won't. But, if you continue to get the message about contacting support, there may be a red flag that came up somewhere along the line - and the only way to resolve it may be to contact iTunes Support. -
I am trying to downloadapps onto the iPad we just purchased, and it keeps telling me that I need to authorize my computer. I go ahead and authorize by going into iTunes/store/authorize computer, I verify the information that is given. I go back and try to redownload the apps and I get the same exact message, this computer is not authorized for this device. What am I doing wrong?
I have been trying to work through this problem by myself and have so far downloaded the most current version of iTunes. Frome there when it tells me I have to authorize this computer, I had to not put in the iPad information, I had to authorize with my current iTunes information, and any iPad or iPod, iPhone information. I have several people in the family that have different accounts, so I had to authorize each and every individual account because I didnt know which apps or music was purchased under which user. I am trying to use my adobe premiere elements 12 and when I go to click on a "new project" it takes me to the sign in page. Once I type my information in and click on "sign in" a little 'thinking circle' pops up and it just keeps spinning but it never ends up doing anything. Please help me with this issue. What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Did you have the opportunity to update 12 to 12.1 Update yet using an opened project's Help Menu/Update? If not, please do so when you get the opportunity.

I am using an Mac PPC version 10.5.8 and I am trying to download the correct version of Flash Player. I did once but I had to install a "Clean Install" of my computer and when finished I had put back the new Flash Player I just installed well every time I try install the new player it is place in my Trash Folder and I can not get Player to work. I have tried to re-install iTunes 11.0.3 at least 6 times.
I have also downloaded iTunes 11.0.3 at least 5 times.
I have changed my Apple ID password.
I have downloaded (again, I've done that many times) iTunes 11.0.3, then I switched off the iMac, then restarted the wi-fi modem. Switched on the iMac, loaded iTunes, same problem.
I tried to just switch off the wi-fi, did the same as point above, same problem.
Even tried to change the system date to 2038, this only seemed (although I doubt it) to fix the "not responding" issue which I had this morning.
The Apple ID password issue, where it asks me for the password loads and loads of times (probably 50 times or more), one after the other has been happening for about 3 days now.

iTunes Problem, can't seem to find a solution online.
I am running OS X 10.8.3 on an iMac, have just loaded iTunes 11.0.3 a few days ago.
Firstly, I'd open iTunes and it would immediately say it was not responding, I'd have to force quit, try again, re-boot, try again etc. I tried re-installing iTunes, changing password, everything to no avail, then changed my date to 2038, and voila it started responding (no, don't ask me, I just read in online and was desperate enough to try it). Of course, I don't believe that this actually helped, I would like to know what did help or if there is something specific one needs to do to fix this.
I have not been able to get rid of this problem: Whenever I try to make a purchase it asks for my Apple ID password, dozens of times until I give up and press cancel, cancel, cancel.
Why does it do this? I don't want to purchase anything because I can't keep typing in my password again and again. I'm not exaggerating.
As I mentioned, I have tried to re-install iTunes, about 6 times, and I changed my password. I still get the same problem.
Also, my iTunes still looks like the classical iTunes and doesn't have the new interface.
Has anyone experienced this and was able to fix it, or does anyone know what the problem is? Something keeps trying to download on my mac and I don't know what it is. It is not in the apple store and just comes out nowhere and request for my password to download something and I don't know what it is. How to make this stop? It pops up every single day.

I can, with 99.99% certainty, tell you that you are absolutely right in not wanting to download or install this "Helper," whatever it is (but we can be equally certain it would not "help" anything).
I cannot comment as to Oglethorpe's recommendation of 'adwaremedic'; I am unfamiliar with it. His links to the Apple discussion and support pages warrant your time and attention.
It might be really simple -- Trying looking in your Downloads folder, trash anything that you don't know with certainty is something you want to keep, and then Secure Empty your Trash. Then remove the AdBlock extension, LastPass, and Web of Trust extensions to Safari and re-boot. If the issue goes away, still be extraordinarily careful in the future.
Unfortunately, it's probably not going to be that simple to get rid of, in which case I'd then try the line by line editing in HT203987.
I have no further suggestions (other than a complete wipe and re-install...but that's a pain because trying to restore from Time Machine would simply ... restore the Mal).
For the rest of us, please post when you find a solution.

Problems setting up my TC. Have just bought new iMac(OS 10.6.8) and TC. I tried to set it up. iMac cannot find it. I have tried direct connection with an ethernet cable to Mac or direct to my wireless router but nothing. Just a flashing orange light. Help for a simpleton please. Have tried reseting TC, but to no avail.
Just updated from 10.6.7 ---> 10.6.8 and had the same issue. Despite having done a clean install from 10.6 and got everything back off my TC, now Time Machine can't find it!
Green light is on, ethernet cable conected, network CP says its conected but nothing. Airport Utility can't find it. Hit reset button, Orange flashing light but still no show in Airport Utility.
But I know its there, as rebooting from 10.6 SL disk shows the backups are still ok?
