Trying to post but get a "We will be back soon" response

For the past two weeks I've been trying to post a reply to a question I initiated. When I hit the "Post Message" button I get the reply "We will be back soon" from http://discussions.apple.com/backsoon/discussionstempaway.html
The "We will be back soon" has been occurring over the past two weeks on approximately a dozen attempts. However, I see that questions/replies as recent as today, March 29, are being posted to the Snow Leopard 10.6.6 Discussion site.
I've just talked by phone with Apple Support and the technicial advised that the problem has been forwarded to Apple Engineering for investigation and resolution.
Anyone else experiencing this problem and has anyone found a solution or workaround?

Jeff, per your suggestion, I just loaded Firefox v3.5, logged out of my open Apple Discussion windows in Safari and then re-opened Discussions in Firefox. Re-entered my Reply, hit Post Message and got the same "We will be back soon" response. I was able to open the link you posted.
It is odd (to me, anyway) that my question of Snow Leopard 10.6.6 cannot be sent but my question on "We will be back soon" got posted immediately along with the response from you. After talking earlier today by phone with two Apple technical folks, the original problem ("We will be back soon") has been passed on to Apple Engineering for resolution. I was advised that it "is a known problem" awaiting a solution. Not sure I'll hear from them but I'll keep trying to post in Snow Leopard Discussions and will, eventually, I hope, be able to post. I'll also check and load any current software updates. There is one: "Mac OS X Update, 'The 10.6.7 Update is recommended for all users running Mac OS X Snow Leopard and includes general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac, including fixes that:
Improve the reliability of Back to My Mac
Resolve an issue when transferring files to certain SMB servers

It's very curious to me that many, many others are posting right now in Snow Leopard Discussions>Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard>Using Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.

Based on your post it sounds like you would like to sync your iBooks content with your computer. I have located an article that may help you in this situation. While you can sync this data with your computer you can also use the sharing button to send PDFs using various sources:

Have you got the latest version of iTunes on your computer ? There is some troubleshooting for that error code on this page which you could try.

"Facebook Will Be Back Soon" only in Firefox. Facebook works fine in other browsers.

I have rebooted my computer twice, ran my anti-virus, reset Firefox to default, deleted cookies and cache. Facebook, and only Facebook, is still no longer working with Firefox.

Don't just 'hope,' Provide Numbers Feedback to Apple, where this type of change can be made. Here you're just venting to users like yourself who are not able to rewrite the application. You'll find the Provide Numbers Feedback item in the Numbers menu in Numbers.
Meantime, if you had Numbers '09 on your Mac before downloading and installing Numbers 3, and you haven't actually deleted the older version, you will still find it in your Applications Folder (possibly also enclosed in an iWork '09 folder), and you will find that it still works. Use it until Numbers 3 has the features you need.

looked at my phone tonight and noticed that it wasn't responding. Thought the battery was flat so put in on the charger. it then gave me a message suggesting that I needed to connect to itune - so i did.

iPhone error codes are often not very specific to the cause. But Error 21 can be due to faulty battery in some cases. So battery replacement could help. Here is Apple Guidance: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error21

In which case, you have an iPad that you'll never be able to use.
There is no way around the Activation Lock. It is a security feature.
Did you not check that the device had been properly wiped and reset before buying it?
If the previous "owner" is now suddenly being hard to find, you probably bought a stolen iPad.

Im trying to build user expiration into my registration form, but I cant get the form to send back the date registering.
in my data base i have tried every thing from timestamp to datetime. I can get a timestamp but it is not functioning with the expiration?

just have a look at my tutorial Login tables: installation & configuration where the required column attributes are explained and where you can obtain a fully functional SQL dump for a typical ADDT "login" and (optionally) "login_stats" table.
BTW, "expiration" will have to be an "int" column.

Trying to sync but getting told i have 2 itunes librarys and need to remove my iphone from 1 library but i will then loose all my pics,songs ect

i plug my iphone 4 into my laptop and try to sync but i just keep getting the message THIS IPHONE ALREADY HAS AN EXISTING ITUNES LIBRARY,REMOVE THIS IPHONE FROM THIS LIBRARY TO ACCESS PREVIOUS LIBRARY.
I have 905 songs on my phone and only 5 of them show on my itunes library so if i remove my iphone from 2nd account i will loose 900 songs right,but without doing so i can no longer sync my phone to laptop...
hope somone has some ideas of what im trying to explain and help me because its very annoying...thank you

Failed Software Raid 1, trying to virtualize but getting I/O error failure

I will try to summarize all what has happened and where I'm at now currently:
Server is 2008 R2 (DC, exchange, IIS, SQL, etc) setup originally setup with software RAID 1. At some point years ago the software RAID had failed and the second disk wasn't part of the mirror anymore and it was never fixed in disk management.
Last week the server and wouldn't boot as the primary drive failed. I selected secondary plex during startup just to see if that disk was still functioning, which to my suprise it did boot up but data was years old.
At that point, I inserted Windows 2008 R2 DVD and started System Recovery from previous backup onto secondary plex drive. Once complete, the server was backup and running. Changed the system startup variable to secondary plex so it would
boot that drive if restarted.
I am now trying to virtualize the server using disk2vhd in order to move it onto new hardware, however each time I try it fails with I/O error. I have re-tried multiple times stopping all major services to minimize I/O during disk2vhd, but still errors out
about 3/4 way through. I have run checkdisk and it repaired a few bad sectors on the secondary plex drive, yet still fails during disk2vhd. I am currently running a defrag on the disk as it reported 36% defragmention and will try offline disk2vhd
once complete using System Center VMM 2012 (not R2 as that's been removed - found that out the hard way!).
I'm worried this disk has underlying errors which is why it failed years ago and Windows broke the mirror and why it won't work with online disk2vhd.
I have attached a picture of Disk Management which I find interesting as it shows Disk 0 as unknown (Not Initialized), Disk 1 having errors (can "Reactivate Disk" though unsure if that does anything destructive?), and then a missing disk at the
bottom which I can also reactivate. I'm not sure if restoring the last working backup from disk 0 somehow messed up Disk 1 or confused it? BIOS reports Disk 0 as 0MB so I'm thinking that drive is no good anymore.
I guess what I'm looking for with this post is any answer or suggestion as to why disk2vhd might be failing, whether an offline disk2vhd maybe a better successful option, and what (if anything) I should do in Disk Management with these drives in their current
state. I don't have a replacement 500GB drive for the mirror and I don't plan on getting one as I already have a new Hyper-V 2012 Core server setup to replace this failing server. I just can't seem to get it to virtualize using online disk2vhd and wondering
if it has something to do with the current drive setup/situation?

In addition, this issue seems to be more related to Disk2vhd. I suggest that you should post the question in
the Disk2vhd forum. I believe we will get a better assistance there.

Corrupted, tried usual fixes but get stuck

Okay, so last night I did my usual thing: plugged the Nano into the computer to give it an update, refresh my podcasts, etc. A message comes up saying my iPod could not be identified and needed to be unplugged then plugged in again. So, I do. Now it tells me the iPod is corrupted and needs to be recovered. So, it starts the "preparing iPod for recovery" thing. The little green bar moves to almost the end, then disappears. A message comes up saying "iTunes needs to prepare your iPod for recovery. Please leave your iPod connected.
Except that it never had been disconnected.
Still, I try again.
And again.
And again. This time using a newer cable.
Same thing.
So, it try the usuals, toggle Hold, Menu+centre button. Now I get a "Use iTunes to Restore" screen. So, I plug it in again and hit "restore" when it asks me to. Now it downloads an update and supposedly applies it, then tells me that the iPod will appear on my screen when it's ready.
Except it doesn't.
Green bar comes up telling me it's preparing iPod for recovery again.
And we get stuck in the same loop as before. "...Please leave your iPod connected."
Left it on overnight, charged it this morning, same deal.
So...any other ideas? Or is it time to send it in?

Well, that's weird.
Never got around to reformatting, because on a hunch I decided to try uninstalling iTunes before I did, then just plain starting fresh.
Once I'd restarted my computer (I've tried this multiple times since the problem started, so I doubt it was the restart itself) after uninstalling iTunes, I held menu+centre button again before connecting it to my computer, because everytime I've tried to connect without doing this first (since the problem started) has resulted in...well, nothing. This time, I plugged it in, and suddenly it showed me the select language screen, like nothing had ever happened except a reset to factory settings.
All I can say is "***??"
But at least I have my iPod back...for now (+eyes it suspiciously+)
So, now I'll try dowloading iTunes again. Hopefully it all still works after that.

When i plug my ipod in itunes loads etc then it states syncing, but it gets to stage 2 which is back up and wont get past that, ive left it on over night, reinstalled, checked my firewall etc and phones up itunes support with no success, Can any one help me? I have windows 7 with itunes 10.5 and ipod touch 4th generation with iso5 installed.
I have been trying to resolbe the problem for over 2 weeks now and have had my ipod replaced twice during this time.

I loaded in Lion - but my time capsule will not back up. I get an message: couldn't complete backup due to a network prolem. Also it says "make sure your computer and back up disk are on the same network, and that the backup disk is turned on.

I have exactly same problem with my MBP and MBA, after upgrading to Lion. I've tried to fix this issue while cheking key chain issues and network setup, even formating hdd and time capsule firmware upgrade (ver. 7.6.1.). Nothing can help. It is very annoying.
