Trying to print a web page results in Distiller Error

I'm trying to print the following web page to a PDF for a client
http://unikavaev.com/price-list
however when I select "Adobe PDF" as the printer, and hit Print, it goes to save it, and isntead of creating the .pdf file, it just creates a log file with the following information:
%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
X5A7A1893 not found, using Courier.
%%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: xshow ]%%
Stack:
[100 117 75 0]
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
I've tried the variuos fixes I've seen in the forums, but none have worked. This did work previously on my old install, but just recently got a new build, so this is a fresh installation of Creative Cloud with Acrobat XI.

I just tried it using Firefox and Acrobat XI without any issues -- maybe the problem is related to the browser. Have you tried printing from a different one?

  • Printing a web page results in several pages when it should only be one page. How to adjust?

When I try to print a web page, the result is several partial pages. I've tried to adjust the scaling, but nothing seems to work. Where do I go to make this type of adjustment?

    Three possible causes. <br />
    1. The page is made with Frames and each Frame is printing separately. If you right click the page you would see a menu item for '''This Frame ''', if that page has Frames. You'll see that on this test page. <br />http://www.draac.com/framestest.html
    2. A wide page margin setting. You might be able to see that in Page Setup > Margins/Header&Footer, but some printers manage to get weird settings that don't show up there. When you look in about:config these prefs are way off <br />print.printer_''printer-name''_Printer.print_margin_left <br />and<br /> print.printer_''printer-name''_Printer.print_margin_right
    3. A non-standard '''Paper Size''' is set in Properties for that printer as viewed through Firefox. Might set to Custom or to a Photo size.
See this section of support article hyperlinked by SafeBrowser. <br />
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problems_printing_web_pages#Prints_to_a_small_portion_of_the_page
For #2 and 3, doing a reset should solve it. Do the ''''reset''''' as described here: <br />
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problems_printing_web_pages#Reset_printer <br />
Make sure you reset all the prefs for that particular printer.

  • I only get a blank page when trying to print a web page

I have looked up how to print a web page and did exactly as shown on the screen (I did select my printer) but when I want to print a Web page I only get a blank page. I also cannot save as PDF in the Print Dialog Box because I get a blank page there too.
I have tried to disable all my add-ons and extensions and re-enabling them one by one and it did not change anything.
Although I did not specifically notice the exact date, I feel this has been happening since I have upgraded to Mac OS 10.6.4

Wow! After several different attempts to solve my printing problems , the one that worked was the suggestion that I hit "Reset Firefox" button on the Troubleshooting Information page. Once I did that and got back in I was able to print pages correctly. Thank you for all your help and patience.

  • Firefox 31.0 bug - FF crashes when trying to print Amazon web pages

Using Mac OS 10.6.8. Firefox crashing issue just started occurring for me after updating to FF 31.0 on 8-5-14. Prior to that FF has always worked perfectly for me with no printing issues or any other issues. Luckily FF does not crash when printing anything else. All other web pages work well so far except for Amazon.
Tried many different listings on Amazon but I get the same result; instant crash. Command P brings up the Print Window successfully, but as soon as I make the choice to Print, Preview or Save as a pdf, FF crashes. (By the way, my Safari browser works perfectly when printing these same web pages on Amazon. No crashes.)
Tried every single one of the Help suggestions regarding the printer settings, preferences, and other help suggestions for crashing issues but they made no difference at all. Cleared my FF cookies and cache, cleared my system and user caches, updated Flash Player and checked that all plugins were up-to-date, ran Disk Utility to repair permissions, and reset PRAM, but no luck.
Decided to reset FF last night but that resulted in no change at all. FF still crashes when attempting to print from Amazon. I reported this issue to Amazon, and they said they would contact Mozilla about it too. Thank you.

I have already tried reinstalling the printers/drivers. I also tried running Firefox in safe mode, and the issue still persisted.
I installed Firefox 29.0, and the app does not crash upon trying to print.
I have been unable to find any helpful information on this issue. Please advise as to how this can be resolved. Thank you.

I filed a bug for this crash as it has been reported on Mac machines and all of the comments are either printing a webpage or printing a print button.
If I may ask are you using File > Print or is there also a print icon?
Another question for investigation is do you have print_printer?
In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :
    # In the [[Location bar autocomplete|Location bar]], type '''about:config''' and press '''Enter'''. The about:config "''This might void your warranty!''" warning page may appear.
    # Click '''I'll be careful, I promise!''' to continue to the about:config page.
#right click new > string and enter name : print_printer and for value : enter the name of your printer with without the quotes, then OK.
Please post back with the results. Thank you!

FileOpen is a security add-on, which is needed to open some files. Not a part of Adobe software. Maybe you need to upgrade or report it: http://www.fileopen.com/

  • Firefox hangs occassionaly when trying to print a web page

I am running Windows XP and Firefox version 3.6.8. Occasionally when I select print on the file menu to print the current web page, Firefox hangs as soon as click the OK button on the print dialog box. The printer is connected to my local network and other apps can print to it. Sometimes after a long wait (5 mins or more), the operation will complete and Firefox unhangs. Other times it never recovers and I have to end Firefox and restart it.

  • When using OS X yosemite 10.10.2 trying to access a web page I get sever error 403

When using OS X yosemite 10.10.2 and trying to access a web site I get the message server error 403 only with one site (loan application)

Web server error 403 = Forbidden - It's nothing to do with Yosemite nor Safari.  The web server may be having a problem.  Usually it's a permissions issue on the server side.  But one thing that can happen is that you have a bookmark that is pointing somewhere that is not allowed.  Try navigating to the page from the root of the server.  You might have to start at an earlier authentication page then navigate to the "loan application" page.  It's possible you bookmarked a page that requires authentication and the web server loan application software was not written in a friendly manner to redirect you back to a login page.  Also try clearing your cache and cookies.  Safari menu -> Clear History and Website Data.  You might have an old cookie that needs to be deleted.

  • Firefox crashes when yougo to print a web page?

After recent Windows updates (KB2502285/2485376/2479628/2467023/2454826/2425227/22393802) for Windows 7 32 bit applied to my computer on the 10th February 2011, all my browsers, Firefox, IE9 and Chrome all crashed if you tried to print a web page, go for a print preview or page set up. Only Opera was unaffected. I have uninstalled all the above Windows updates and lo and behold Firefox prints normally. I did a mass uninstall so I don't know which one of the above is the culprit, so hope someone can help me.

  • Cannot print a web page that prints fine in IE9

I'm trying to print a web page in Firefox, but when I do the print preview it has web info at the top of the page but the rest is blank, the second page displays just fine, then all the other pages behind it are completely blank.
If I try to print a web page of the Firefox site it works great.
If I try to print the problem web page in IE9 it works great.
I tried to follow your instructions about:config then filter print.print_printer....however my config list doesn't have that file.

    * I think we need to update [[How to print websites]]
    * Try keyboard shortcut '''Control+P''' <br /> see [[Keyboard shortcuts - Perform common Firefox tasks quickly#w_current-page]]#w_current-page
    * You can possiby also toggle the menu bar using Alt or F10 to get a print option from the File menu
I suppose printing whole web pages to paper is not often done these days.

  • Safari breaks lines after every word when printing some web pages

Most pages print fine, but there are a few where Safari totally mangles the formatting when trying to print.
For example, this page on Microsoft's support website. It looks fine in Safari, but when I try and print it, all the content gets pushed to the left edge of the page, with each word appearing on a new line. This causes the content to take up 15 pages!
I've tested this in Safari 7.1 in Mavericks, and Safari 8.0 in Yosemite. The results are identical in both versions.
The same web page prints normally from Chrome or Firefox, and is only 3 pages long when printed.
Note: Microsoft's website isn't the only place I've seen Safari do this, but it's the only example I have right now.

This happens on three different Macs. Those Macs have no problem printing from other apps, including other browsers.
Can you please try printing that web page on your Mac (with Safari), and letting me know what happens?
    Here's a link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2360509
Just load that page, then try printing it.
Note: You don't even need to actually print it. Just hit ⌘-P, and you'll see the bad formatting in the Print dialog box.

  • When printing a web page, I only get blank pages

I have a new iMac with MAC OS 10.4.11. I connected an HP psc 2175xi all-in-one printer, and when I try to print a web page from Safari, I only get a very small portion of the header and all other pages are blank. When looking at the Print Preview, every thing looks like it has printed fine, but when it is sent to the printer only blank pages come out. I am able to print from other applications fine. It seems to be related to printing web pages only, because I have also tried to print using Firefox, but the same problem occurs. Can anyone please help?
    Thanks.

I did not have the HP printer software for Mac OSX installed properly. Once installed the problem went away.
