Trying to print but I get "unexpected error #116"
I've been working with my Palm Centro and my Mac for 6 months, without ANY problems regarding syncing to the Mac. Now suddenly when I try to print my contact list I get the error message, then the software shuts down. I did what every good previous PC user did, re-started my computer expecting different results, but the same thing keeps happening. ALSO when I try to sync I get a message that the syncing has been interrupted.
I can work with the Palm Desktop Software without any problems, until I try to print. Any suggestions?

Trying to scan but I get an error "The file already exists in the catalog"
I cannot scan, every time I try scanning I get an error "Nothing was imported. The files or folders selected to import did not contain any supported file types, or the files are already in the catalog.
I checked the temp directory, Files do exist which I deleted several times ut it did not help.
I updated the application which did not help.
I ran repair and re-construct the catalog but that did not help either.

4) I had over 8000 photos and videos, I think Catalog cannot handle this big data base, so I guess its got corrupted and I had to remove the catalog and create multiple catalogs, which I think is terrible because I have browse through each catalog separately.
This is not a big catalog, I have a catalog with 70 000 items and some have still much bigger catalogs. As you have discovered, splitting catalogs for this reason is not the solution.

Another way to put it is that you have the problem when using the organizer to scan several pictures. The files are scanned and saved on your disk (with an empty file name plus .jpg or .png extension). You can open them in the editor, but you can't 'import' them in the catalog unless the catalog is empty or you have not scanned prviously.
Is that right?
Since you have not scanned from the editor, it must have been from the organizer.
What I don't understand is which command you have issued to scan and what has happened then. What is your Elements version? You have stated that you are on Windows 8. It may help to know what is the model of your scanner. -

I am trying to print a fillable form - - an application for a Chinese visa. It will not print and I get two error messages: "document could not be printed" and "there were no pages selected to print." The latter is not true. Won't print at all, the page I am on, nor any series of pages inserted.

i tried today to post a reply to someone`s message t the forums but when i tried to attach 2 .php files i get unexpected error message and prevented me from posting the reply.
but when i delete or reloaded the page, i shows me an error message again, but the reply was posted without letting me know!
hope you can find a quick fix for that!

Did you really mean .php files? I am not sure if you can actually post a .php file. I suspect you will have to either post a link to where the .php files are located or simply post the contents of the .php file into the reply. OR zip the file and attach the .zip file.

i am trying to install itunes 10.5 but I get an error message that says "click ok to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package iTunes.msi..." I try to point iTunes to the .msi file on my c drive but then it gives me a message says "the file location is not a valid installation packaage for the product iTuness. Try to find the installation package 'itunes.msi' in a folder from which you can install iTunes". Any help, insight, guidance would be greatly appreciated!!

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

We have had itunes on this pc for 2 years and recently it wouldn't open and another error message kept popping up saying it couldn't open because MSVCR80.dll was missing. I have unistalled the apple programs and tried reinstalling several times but to no avail. Hopefully my music library is not gone. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?

I am trying to install iTunes on my PC (using Windows 8.1), but I get this error: "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." The iTunes file (64-bit) I am trying to install, is named "iTunes64Setup.exe". For the first time, I'm trying to use adobe premiere elements 10 that came with my pc Windows 8. I created a single project, saved it but cannot open it. My pc shows the file I created but I get an error message that says this type file is not supported or the codex is not installed. know the details and troubleshoot to determined what caused the problem.
1. Can you open a new project?
2. After you saved/closed the problem project, did you move, delete, or rename any of the files/folder that were related to the source media
for that project?
3. Please review the Adobe document on troubleshooting damaged projects.

My hard drive fried and had to be replaced. I'm trying to install CS4 from my original discs but keep getting this error message - "One or more of the required components of Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Standard failed to install correctly". A customer service rep gave me a link to download off the Adobe site, but when I try to open the file to run it, I get this error message - "A problem occurred extracting the archive".
Can anyone help?Yep. Nothing happens at all. Windows tries to execute the uninstaller, but I don't get any other screen and all activity stops for the MSI. I monitored it in Process Monitor and the MSI executable appears, but is quickly ended, like it couldn't find anything or something.
It's as if windows has a blank entry in Programs and Features, because it used to show the size of the Adobe application in the "Size" column. Now it's just blank. Link to screenshot below:

Note the install date. That's when I was able to successfully reinstall it. Now I can't even do that. I should also mention I tried Revo Uninstaller. It deleted one small registry key, but nothing changed.
By the way, is the CS cleaner supposed to ask for a disc in the drive when you run it? It refused to run unless I had one in it, so I used my install dvd. -

When trying to add music to a slide show from my PC to TV through Apple Tv the photos are fine but I get an error message that says the music cannot be downloaded.
Because the location for each song in your library is on your hard drive. If the hard drive isn't there, how can iTunes play it?
You'll have to move/copy the music from your hard drive to your computer's hard drive.
Basically, EASIEST way to do all this, if you don't care about your play counts, etc...
-Delete EVERYTHING from iTunes, so that your library is now empty.
-Go to "Advanced" inside of the "Preferences" window, found in the "Edit" drop-down. You can also access Preferences by pressing Ctrl+, (Press Ctrl and the comma key)
-Change your iTunes Media Folder Location to something simple, but on your computer. I use C:/iTunes. Make sure "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized" and "Copy files to...." are both checked. You can close Preferences now.
-Now, drag and drop your music from your hard drive into your iTunes library. iTunes will automatically add the music to your library, as you would expect, and also creates a copy of each file to place into that iTunes Media Folder you just created.

Try updating the Media Player while using Internet Explorer. The Windows Updates site uses ActiveX to perform its' functions. Firefox doesn't support ActiveX.
