Trying to put 10.5 on G5 imac

Hello:
I just came into possession of a G5 imac that I'm trying to upgrade to 10.5 Leopard.
It's a:
1.8Ghz G5
1.5 GB ram
80Gig HD
Unfortunately, when I pop in the 10.5 install dvd & select install......reboot.....during the reboot process, the system spits the dvd back out. The dvd has been used before, so I don't think *it is the issue. I **thought the system requirements had been met for upgrade to 10.5, but maybe not.
Suggestions??

Try inserting a different disc and see if it stays in. If it does, then the install disc is damaged, if the other disc doesn't stay in, then there's something wrong with your system.
