Trying to re install apps
I had to restore my IPAD and am trying to reinstall some previously purchased apps but they will not install...just say "waiting"
I have tried deleting and reinstalling, restarting the iPad...no help..

Make sure you are using the same Apple ID used for the original download of both apps.

Purchasing wrong app while trying to re-install app?

And this is one of the reasons why maintaing a backup of all important data on your computer's hard drive is important - stored on an external drive or some other external media is important, which should include your iTunes library.
Again, iTunes also includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod or iPhone.
There is zero notification that you already paid for an app until you try to purchase it.
A price to pay for not including your iTunes library with your computer's backup along with all other important data. If you don't start doing so, the same is likely to happen. It isn't a matter of if but when your computer's hard drive will have a partial or complete failure.
You can view your purchase history with your iTunes account with iTunes on your computer. -
Hi my name is Jessica. I am trying to re/install apps on my macbook version 10.6.8 because I reinstall the operative system a couple days ago. When I click on download the app it says that the app no longer supports my operative system. But again, I reinstall the same operative system I had before and I was using illustrator, photoshop just fine with it. Why it doesn't let me do it again? I have a student membership and I am paying for this every month and I need to keep using this programs.
Thank you.The Creative Cloud (CC 2014) versions of the two programs you mention require Mac OS version 10.7 or higher. It might be a case where you had older versions running on the machine before you reinstalled the system and updates to newer versions never happened since your OS was older than required. You should still be able to download and install the version you had earlier, such as CS6. I see that the older CC version of Illustrator does allow for 10.6.8, but Photoshop of that version does not.
If you continue to have an issue you should contact Adobe Support and have them help you thru this. Start Here If after selecting relevant responses you are unable to find a solution, choose "Still need help? Contact us." and the chat contact option. -
I tried to install the new update for minecraft pocket edition then all of a sudden it won't load ! It said "waiting" for almost an hour ! Nothing will load :( , then I tried to delete the app and re- install it , still the same problem :( . I turned my iPad off and on then restarted it still no hope ! . I thought it was just the app so I tried installing another 1 but it had the same problem . I was going to reboot it but that would mean loosing my stuff so I tried to back it up using iCloud but when I tapped "back up now " it won't load either !! Please help , I'll appreciate it loads thanks you !!
Rebooting will not make you lose any content. Rebooting is when you hold the home button and the sleep button down at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
You can these suggestions. One might work for you.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream. -
I have tried to download Mavericks on my 2010 iMac(10.6.8), but nothing happens, not even the install app downloads, also I tried to download chrome, I moved it to the applications folder and when I opened the folder it wasn't there. I have a 1tb hard drive that is mostly empty. By the way I just got this imac used from a reseller.
Mavericks downloads into the Applications folder, where you can install it. Some Mac App Store Troubleshooting information and how to resume a download that was interrupted; some of the information here might get you an answer. Failing that, try contacting Apple Support.

I have an older Ipod touch with 4.2.1 and cannot be updated any further, how do I install apps on it now? so far every app I have tried says I need an updated IOS. This sounds like I now have an apple product paper weight unless I want to run out and buy the latest and greatest overpriced apple product.
Are you willing to buy a newer iPod? How about the 4g @ 16gb for $199* usd or the 5g @ 32gb for $299*.

I have a problem with Imovie. Just brought an macbook 15 retina , iLife install and Imovie was working. I than did a data migration from my old macbook pro and now it crashes on start up. I tried to re-install from app store but no option to re-install, just installed and it greyed out.
Well, my two-month-old MBP has no qualms about booting from a no-name external USB HD I put together...
Given that is is a common point of failure, I would imagine a large Apple Store should keep a stock of HD's on hand.
Now since you're a bit desperate and the genie pops up til Saturday and you seem to be the enterprising kind, let's try an experiment: if you have room enough in the external HD and assuming it isn't a Time Machine volume, why don't you plug it in, stick the Install CD and see if the installer lets you select the external drive as the install target. If you can install Leopard on it, on top of the backup without reformatting, and the Mac can boot from the drive afterwards, at least you would have some functionality restored and would be able to pull your stuff from the internal HD. Apple says booting from USB drives is not supported but that does not equate to not possible; some brands do work. Risks? Always. You can always lose your backup. Like I said, a challenge for an enterprising gal....
Next time around, consider having a bootable external clone at hand for rainy days. I keep three myself...

im having troubles trying to download desktop apps, the blue wheel still spinning in the app tab, i've already try the solutions i've read here, uninstall CC and installed it again, uninstall it, download it again and install ir, and nothing works, I'm worried because i have a course of some software tomorrow (oct 10). I have a mac, and it has all the system requirements. Can someone help me please?

Who does this iPad belong to? If someone else used their account then they paid for the apps. You will need to buy and pay for apps using your own account which means that you will no longer have access to the apps installed by the other person.

If this iPad belongs to you I suggest you reset the iPad to factory defauts and just use it with the apps that you've paid for. You will be able to re-download the apps from the iTunes app store after the reset.

I have an error when installing apps on my mac from the apple store. It says "return to the purchase page and try again"... I think it is something to do with the installation process itself. I have tried to clear apple store cache, restarted apple store from debug menu, double checked my apple id account and etc..but doesn't work anyway.
I'm having the same problem and went as far as to delete and reinstall the AppStore and still no dice.

Here are a number of things that have worked in the past that you can try. If you already tried something in here, just ignore it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.

Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad. -
Trying to install Mavericks from the App store on my 2011 11" Macbook air, (wihch has more than 15GB free space). After clicking 'Install App', and entering the Apple ID password, I get 'unkonwn error'.
You can't use Safari to download iPad apps. Only use iTunes/App Store.

ITunes freezes when my iPod is pluged in.
When I plug in my ipod into my computer itunes only freezes, my computer is still functional. when I am listening to music on itunes and I plug in my ipod the music keeps playing, and when I unplug my iPod iTunes unfreezes instantly. What is wrong?
