I still think you're looking at the wrong sticker. The retail boxes do have stickers which are marketing info usually identifying the marketing number & whether the package is a single-user or family-pack license box. I'm sorry, but I can't find my iWork boxes & stickers to scan to show you right now as we are packed to move in the next couple of weeks.
The serial number is a lot more than four digits. Mine is 23 digits plus hyphens, a mix of letters & numbers. It also is not on the installation booklet. As I said before, it's on a sticker (there are two identical stickers) on a separate CD-size piece of paper. The stickers were intended to be removed & affixed to the installation booklet, which you may have done.

Check that the serial you are using is the correct one..
Typically the problem is either you are misreading the serial and therefore typing it in wrong. Check you are correctly entering zeros or O.. and so on....
or...
You bought the LP9 upgrade version.... which requires the LP8 full serial as well.
If it is the LP9 upgrade serial.. (and not the LP9 full serial) you must enter your original LP8 full serial first and then the upgrade serial for LP9.. when it asks for it.
Failing that.. you can obtain a replacement serial from Apple.. using this form.....

1) Check you are imnputing the serial number correctly (zeros instead of ones etc..)
2) If your version of LP9 is the upgrade version then you must first enter the original Logic Po 8 full version serial and then the Logic Pro 9 upgrade serial...
Failing that.... contact Apple for a replacement serial....

Mavericks downloads into the Applications folder, where you can install it. Some Mac App Store Troubleshooting information and how to resume a download that was interrupted; some of the information here might get you an answer. Failing that, try contacting Apple Support.

You are allowed to have two activated installations. If you happened to have one on this Windows 8 machine before, it is possible that the activation used for it was never deactivated (did you deactivate it before you upgraded Windows?). Just user to user....based on past and current history, Adobe Tech Support is not going to help you with a technical issue which is preventing you from using your purchased serial number for Photoshop Elements. Version 12 is not the current version. And, the Adobe Tech Support is limited even for the current version which is 13. If this matter involves a purchased activated serial number trapped on a crashed computer while you are trying to install on a 3rd computer, then probably Adobe Chat Activation can be of assistance. The CC Cleaner Tool assumes the Akamai Download Manager is activated and it has not. It seems to be the missing file that triggers the error message. \in a previous re-install I was prompted to download & install the Akamai Download Manger, but not this time. If you had it on a laptop that crashed and you threw away, it is still considered as activated on that machine. YOu should contact Adobe by chat or by phone and have them deactivate for you.

If the code you are trying to enter has letters then you are not looking at a serial number. A serial number only contains numbers - 6 sets of 4 numbers.

You might be dealing with a redemption code. This is especially so if you purchased it from a store or the like.

Serial numnbers are platform specific so you will not be able to use it for the Mac if it was initially designated for a PC. YOu will need to perform a platform swap. See the following for information:
