Trying to re-install original OS X 10.3 but get iDVDTheme error

I am losing my mind... I tried to do a clean install of my Mac OS 10.3 on my mac mini 1.25ghz G4. I firstly tried to boot up from the install disk and got kernel panic errors. After some time and forcing a restart I was able to startup with my original installation disk that shipped with my mini.
The installer started reading the packages but then stopped with an error message saying: "iDVDThemes can not be installed on this machine" and then all I could do was click the close button and the machine restarted.
I then ran the Apple Hardware Test (Extended) and after 30 minutes everything passed and there was nothing wrong with my hardware.
I then thought that possibly my current OS 10.3.9 installation was stuffed up so I decided to format my hard drive with Disk Utility and once erased I tried the installation again. SAME ERROR....
I read somewhere on this forum that possibly partitioning the hard drive in 2 and then converting it back to 1 again might solve the problem but alas I still get the same problem.
I then tried to Zero all disks which took nearly an hour and afterwards I tried again but same error, "iDVDThemes can not be installed on your machine" and then a restart.
What worries me is that I seriously battle to start my machine up with the install CD 1. I keep getting kernel panic errors which I'm forced to shut the machine down and now I have no OS to actually boot from so I am left with a very bare baby at the moment.
Does anyone have any ideas what I should be doing???? I have exhausted all my ideas and am desperate to get my system up and running.

Thanks for your response. The problem is that the Installer loads up with the very first screen by opening packages. It never gets past this step because of the iDVDThemes problem. This means I do not even get to step 2 which is the readme so I can not install anything as I never get to this option.
I wasn't really having problems with my machine but I wanted a clean install so I could run a web and mail server on the box. I have been trying various mail servers and this was preventing the one of choice from actually sending mail so I decided a clean install would do it no harm.
Hope this makes sense?

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with installing the latest iTunes update. I recommend following the steps below:
Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
I understand that you have already uninstalled iTunes, but when you get to this step, it is important to uninstall iTunes and the related components in the order listed in the link for that step. You can find the full article here:

Do you have read& write permissions to your iTunes library?

Trying to install iOS 5 on iPad 2 but get backup error

Installed iTunes 10.5 and started iOS 5 upgrade. I get the - An error occurred while backing up this iPAD (-5000). Would you like to continue to update this iPad? Contuning will result in the loss of all contents on this iPad. The iPad is less than a month old, have tried this on 2 different laptops, both running Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3 on each. Same error messge on both.
On the first laptop I get a backup fail in iTune Sync. On the secone laptop the iTune Sync works including backup, but the backup for the iOS 5 upgrade fails on both. Everyghing seems to have worked fine until the iTunes 10.5 upgrade.
Any ideas? On the first laptop I tried all the steps in the Knowledge base for the ITunes failed backup with nothing helping.

I fixed iPad with recovery mode.
Hold down home / power button together for 10 seconds.
Then release power button.
It will go into recovery mode and you can update to OS5.

First the ones that won' import:
Open them in Preview and just Save them. See if they'll import then.
Duplicates:

Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?

The diaglogue box gives me the options to abort, retry, or ignore; when I tried retry and ignore the re-install process stays stalled & the dialogue box comes back & I don't want to abort & start this all over to probably end up with the same issue; what does this mean & what do I do?

That doesnt work for me. I removed itunes through the windows cleaner method as shown in other posts and re-installed itunes. Now im getting this error

Just user to user....based on past and current history, Adobe Tech Support is not going to help you with a technical issue which is preventing you from using your purchased serial number for Photoshop Elements. Version 12 is not the current version. And, the Adobe Tech Support is limited even for the current version which is 13. If this matter involves a purchased activated serial number trapped on a crashed computer while you are trying to install on a 3rd computer, then probably Adobe Chat Activation can be of assistance. If that is the case and you want to explore that possibility, then click on the following link

This kind of problem can often be fixed with the microsoft Installer cleanup utility.
Unfortunately the Microsoft Installer Cleanup utility has been withdrawn by Microsoft because of compatibility issues with Microsoft Office so you will need to find a copy elsewhere – the installer is msicuu2.exe. You need version 3.
Google msicuu2.exe download
mydigitallife in the above search has a copy of version 3
Check for malware before installing it.
After installing, To run the program – All Programs>>Windows Install
If you get permission denied error, Try Run as Administrator – an option if you right click on the program.
When you run the cleanup utility, look for any instance that you find of iTunes and remove it.
It is possible that you will have to remove other apple programs if removing iTunes doesn't allow you to install iTunes. Post back with any furtyher error messages if there is a problem.
