Trying to redownload but keep getting a "lost connection error"

In the past, I had some problems with my laptop so I recently re-installed Windows 7 yesterday. I got everything running fine. But today, I am having problems with flash player. Youtube videos don't play correctly and some websites don't display like they are supposed to. So, I tried redownloading adobe flash player, but I keep getting this "Lost connection" error. What is the problem and how do I fix it? I'm using FireFox, btw. It seems to work on Google Chrome but I like using FireFox better.

Thanks, helped me figure out a bigger problem there was with my router's access control and all kinds of crazy numbers that needed to be changed, but I got it.

Try completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your Adobe ID.

Just because you are the only user on the computer doesn't mean you are the administrator.
Also, the fact that you are being asked to re-enter your serial number each time you start means that it is not being remembered because something is either preventing it from being written to you disk or (less likely) something is erasing it. This does suggest that you lack certain permissions to make changes to your computer. Not only to save your serial number, but to have access to the Lightroom files needed to change modules (they are just plug-ins within Lightroom).
Try creating a new user account and run Lightroom from there (making sure that it is part of the Administrator group).

Trying to uninstall and download itunes keep getting message "the older version of apple software update cannot be removed contact support group. There must be a hidden file I can't find.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25 2010. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Why do I keep getting a server connection error?!

I've installed Digital Editions, but every time I try to authorise my pc it says there is a connection error and it couldn't connect to the activation server. My internet connection is working fine, I've disabled my pop-up blocker, ad blocker, mcafee and allowed Digital Editions through the firewall. Why isn't it working?

As I said, I'm definitely connected to the internet. I've added DE to the programmes allowed through my firewall, turned off the pop up blocker and temporarily disabled mcafee, but the error message still keeps popping up.

Had a gmail acct for email..now it won't send..deleted it, tried to open new one but keep getting imap or other errors..

Activated a gmail account just for the iPhone..it worked for a little while but now it's sketchy..so I deleted it and tried to reopen it and now I'm getting errors on the imap, or the password is incorrect among other things...just want to add an account so I can email picturres and videos but not for any other use. Apple's Mail has a known bug that it deletes your mail passwords sporadically.

I will, from time to time, be prompted for a password. I cancel and try again five minutes later. 90% of the time, it works fine the second time. The other 10% of the time, I have to wait for an indeterminate amount of time, sometimes several hours. This indicates, to me, that there was a problem contacting the server. I used to see similar behavior with Eudora years ago before I switched to Mail.
I never have to actually re-enter the password. At no time have my passwords been deleted.
None of this answers your questions, but hey... you come on here and cry "bug" and you're going to get challenged if others aren't seeing a bug.
