I am trying to reinstall Dreamweaver CS3 from the CD after having computer issues. Now getting error "You can only install one Adobe product at a time. Please complete the other installation before attempting to install ......." There is no other Adobe product installing. I have used the Adobe Cleaner Tool many times and uninstalled other Adobe Products but neither has worked. I have uninstalled/reinstalled this CD version of Dreamweaver several times when changing computers and after having computer issues. Absolutely not. You are misinterpreting things. The activation check never happens when just running the installer, only much later. It means what it says - there is another "install" pending/ active on your system, meaning somewhere there is an (invisible) process still blocking things. Either way, since you haven't provided any real technical info, we can't advise specifically. if you are on Windows, you may want to check your task manager and terminate any setup.exe and msiexec.exe processes plus potentially may need to manually fix/ delete some registry keys. For anything beyond that you will have to be much more specific.

I renamed the folder with the little house as its icon, and now I'm screwed
Here are the details:
* I am running the latest update to 10.4
* I changed the name of the folder with the little house as its icon. I changed it in the sidebar to the finder window. I changed the folder's name from it's original name to a new name, which is the name of my computer.
* As soon as I did so, I started experiencing problems. I was using Azureus to download something (legally, of course) and I started getting popup warnings stating that the save location could not be located.
* I then tried to open up my address book, which was now empty.
* At this point, I became pretty sure that I messed up the...how you say...references for all my programs. In other words, my address book looks in "x" location for its addresses. My iPhoto looks in "x" location for the pictures and library files, etc.
* I said to myself, "oh crap, look what I did" and attempted to change the folder with the little house as its icon from its current name back to the original. Unfortunately, it would not let me, and informed me that name was already in use.
* I then said, "oh crap" and logged out of the account. I forget what my thinking was in doing this.
* When I got to the log in screen, it gave me 4 options. There are two administrators' accounts; one I cannot access and my usual computer name. I logged into the latter, as usual.
* When logged back in, nothing was as it should be. My desktop picture was gone, my desktop folders were gone. My dock was positioned at the bottom of the screen and was not hiding. Also, the little house went back to the original name. My program to automatically startup the Dashboard did not kick in. I clicked on iTunes and it wanted me to click through all the user' agreement set up options. When I opened up iPhoto I canceled the pop up window that was offered and found that my iPhoto library, which usually has 4000+ pictures, was empty. I opened up "Comic Life," and it asked me to register. I then looked in the finder to see if I could find a document for work. I clicked on the documents folder in the sidebar, and everything showed up. I then tried to do a search, but the files could not be located. I even visually verified the files where there, but neither spotlight or the finder search could locate them. If I clicked on a file, it opens, even though I cannot "search" for it. I've even tried to click on the actual folder and do a specific search, and receive nada.
*I've located all of the documents/library/etc. under "Macintosh HD/users/*current name of little house icon*, but it appears as just a regular folder.
So...there it is. I know I've screwed up my paths, but am unsure how to restore the computer to how it was. If there is no restore function, I am also unsure how to make it so my programs recognize the original library, etc.EDIT: Welcome to Apple Discussions. Didn't notice you just joined. From the little research l have done, l have been convinced l may be having a dead hard drive though after having tried all the other troubleshooting tips found here, when trying to boot l get the grey screen and folder with the question mark suggesting it can not find the files neccessary to boot hence l tried booting with the disc and the message l get is that mac OS X can not be installed on this computer, though after doing the hardware check etc they all say okay. I've even tried erasing the drive and trying to instal the OS afresh with no luck. Any ideas or l must just get a new hard drive?
Pretty sure BGreg hit the nail on the head. If your hard drive was failing, you would still be able to at least attempt an install, provided your ard drive was mounting. You usually get that message when the disk is incompatible with the computer. If it is the proper disk, you might try erasing the disk (provided your info is backed up) using Disk Utility (under Utilities in the menubar) and choose the Mac OSX Extended (Journaled) format.

I followed all of the directions after seeing that my laptop flashed the folder with the question mark. But when I went to disk utility to repair/ verify issues w/ start up disk it would not allow me to. The buttons to repair and modify we're there but they were grey and couldn't be pressed.
Were you trying to repair the disk you were booted from? You can't do that - you need to boot from your install disk, and choose 'Disk Utility' from the 'install' menu.

Hold down the 'C' key to boot from the Snow Leopard DVD.

I tried to update my itune with the latest update and now i can't use itune at all . I have tried reinstalling it . all get is MSVCR80.dll and then I get Error 7 (windows erreor 126) . Need help please .
Similar problem here. iTunes11 notified me it was available. However, auto-update failed. So, I downloaded for manual update. That failed with "permission" message. I am administrator on this machine (WIN7). I tried uninstalling old version, but it failed with same permission issue. I now can't start iTunes... throws permission message. So, I'm completely dead in the water. Does this stuff get tested before it's shipped?

You will need to select and sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent sync remains on the iPad, not including photos in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from it. -

I am using the Premiere Pro CS5 NLE (with the 5.0.4 updates), and I have tried to reinstall the software (which is actually the Production Premium package) several times, but I still cannot use the spacebar (or any method) to play any of my imported videos.

Recovery Mode presents you with, among other things, Disk Utility. When you open that, if the internal shows up at all, first try to "Repair DIsk." If that doesn't work but if the "Media" line is present, try to format and partition it with a GUID partition table (understand that you will be erasing the contents of your internal). Then try to reinstall the OS. If that doesn't work, and since your Retina MBP didn't come with a DVD drive or DVDs, you'll need to try a hardware test using these instructions from Apple (short version: shut down, press the power button and hold down the "D" key). If none of those things work, let's hope you either have AppleCare or your warranty has some life left because the SSD in your rMBP is proprietary and expensive. I uninstalled itunes to fix some ipod issues, and now I tried to reinstall it but it says that it's already installed. When I went to find the "icon" I can"t find it. When i looked in the download files I saw the downloads, but not the actual itunes "app". Please help thanks!

Just would like to share my experience with all of you, my niece has a mini iPod that connects with a PC, however, after ejecting the iPod a few times inproperly, her iPod showed this most notorious evil icon. I followed all the instructions from the Apple web site in this forum, I did nearly ten times of Resets and Restores (I managed to restore but not everytimes), still failed to get rid of this icon, and it jsut would not disappear in the iPod. I just got very frustrated and I asked myself should I connect it with a Mac? Why not? So I connected it with my Mac, no surprise, then I put it in Disk Mode and reconnectted (few attempts), the iPod icon appeared on my Desktop but I still could not do the restore.
As I believed that iPod was the same as an external Hard Disk, and it was broken anyway, why not have another try - so I opened the Disk Utility and saw the iPod there, then I did an Erase (format) the iPod, once completed I reconnected with my Mac again, after 4 attempts, the iPod updater window popup and asked me whether I would like to do a restore, I finally managed to get rid of this icon. I connectted it with PC and was able to do a restore in my PC and got recongzied afterward. It has happened almost for 6 months and I heard that this iPod is still working fine.

I always use the iPod AC charger to charge my iPods and I have never had any problems.
The initial cause of the problems in your post is probably that several improper ejection of the iPod. If you do not have a Mac the problem may not be solvable by yourself. -
Hello,having a problem with Logic 9 on a Mac Pro.Working on a lenghty song and apparently session got corrupted.Doesnt let me export tracks,program crashes.Already tried start brand new session with the tracks imported into it but still wont export.Suggestions?

Under Firefox Options I clicked Saving Files under Downloads but the file name appears twice and an extra folder with the same name is created within the folder i.e.:
G:\Akbar's Songs\HAMARA FORUMS DOWNLOADS\HAMARA FORUMS DOWNLOADS
As you can see the folder is repeated, how can I correct this?
Also the music files I download from a site downloads as WinRar file and I need to open it. Is there an option where the files open automatically in the folder I have selected?
Many thanks for your help.The "beta" version is for testing and may be more prone to problems, so I suggest trying the regular version (9.20) even though it hasn't been updated since 2010.
