Trying to reinstall ai cs4

I had to remove my AI cs4 because of computer problems. I have the original link. Serial # etc. When I try to download it, I get :Your browser (Internet Explorer 4 or earlier) is not supported by macromedia.com. I am using IE10 HELP!

Try using a different browser, such as Firefox (this is not a plug for FF, but in some cases other browsers work better with the Adobe site)

I'm trying to reinstall Photoshop CS4

I'm trying to reinstall Photoshop CS4 after I had a computer repair. I have my key and I downloaded the 2 files on the adobe dl page for CS4, There's a _LS1 file of 1,200 KB and a larger _LS2.7z file of 796M. But when I double-click on the LS1 files, which says it's an application, I get an error message that says I need the 'other file', to download the 'other file' and make sure it's in the same directory. But I do have both LS1 and LS2.7z files in the same directory. Any suggestions? Do I need something to extract the files?

they're not matching files. ie, you have the archive for a different (like the japanese) ps cs4.

Mac osx trying to reinstall my cs4

using the discs I own but it keeps giving me error messages saying it cannot install the following programs: illustrator, Photoshop. I gave up on the discs and tried to download directly from Adobe site & same error keeps coming up. Anyone have any suggestions?

I teach a class using this program on Macintosh computers running 10.9.5 and the action script is not working. It will work on any program designed using the 10.8 but if you design any animation on 10.9.5 the action script will not work for the buttons

You would have to manually delete the color profiles in question... Run the cleaner tool and see if it gets you started.

Trying to install Photoshop CS4 and it won't accept my CS4 licenses.

I had the HD crash on my pc and I'm trying to reinstall Photoshop CS4. I log into my Adobe account and retrieve the licenses key and when I input that into the Photoshop CS4 installer I downloaded right from Adobe it says the key is wrong. I have checked the licenses several times and it won't install where do I go from here?

I got it there was something weird with the installer I copied to my thumb drive I re-copied the download and it works fine now.

Error code 2 reinstalling Dreamweaver CS4

I recently tried to reinstall dreamweaver cs4 and Acrobat Pro on my Macbook pro (OS 10.5.8), after both programs repeatedly wouldn't launch. Whilst Acrobat Pro reinstalled ok, the reinstallation of dreamweaver failed twice and I get an error 2 message. Any ideas?

I get the error code from the installer, when I click more info. (I restarted and tried unsuccessfully to reinstall as suggested). If I try to launch Dreamweaver the icon just bounces in the dock, before quitting. One odd thing was that the installer claimed Illustrator was running at first even though it wasn't. I launched and quit Illustrator to make sure but the installer wouldn't run until I rebooted. After that it installed Acrobat Pro correctly but not Dreamweaver.

You need to contact Customer Service ( http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html ) and they would be able to help you find the serial number if you have registered it.
Else they will help you unlock the serial key after validating.

I'm trying to reinstall CS4 on my G5, but when I put in the serial number it doesn't recognize it. I installed Creative suite premium without trouble but can't get beyond that. My G5 isn't an Intel processor so cant go out and buy new software. I have discs and sn #'s.

Piper and me it looks like you have a full version of Photoshop CS4 registered under this account. Have you tried downloading a fresh copy of the installation files from Download CS4 products? If so is there any event which occurred on this Mac which is leading you to need to reinstall Photoshop CS4?

Run the cleaner tool and reinstall with sufficient user privileges and security stuff turned off. Your install went wrong because you didn't consider this.

Bridge CS4 no longer reading Raw files after reinstalling PS CS4

I recently uninstalled PSE8 (using Adobe installer) and was prompted to reinstall PS CS4. I did this and now Bridge is no longer reading my Raw files. I just get a white blank where the image should be. I tried reinstalling Raw Converter 5.6 but it still does not work.
I use a Canon T1i and am running Snow Leopard on my Mac.
Any ideas how I can get Bridge working again?

You obviously have a bad installation of the Camera Raw plug-in.
You need to remove the ACR 5.0 plug-in, which somehow you did not remove when installing 5.6, and instal 5.6 in the correct location. Read the Camera Raw update instructions again, very carefully. The location is detailed exactly. Note that you start with the ROOT LEVEL Library, NOT your user library.
This screen shot is from an earlier post and it shows Camera Raw 5.1 installed. The path is the same for ACR 5.6. Note that you can only have one instance of the Camera Raw plug-in installed per version of Photoshop (5.6 for CS4, 4.x for CS3, 3.x for CS2) each in its respective folder.
Command-click on the thumbnail to see the image at full size in a new web browser window.

Can't Reinstall Encore CS4

After burning a DVD, Encore crashed - computer started rebooting. But after that Encore would no longer run. So I uninstalled Encore (which is part of my Master Collection CS4) but when I tried to reinstall Encore, it was no longer listed as one of the options in the installation menu.
Any help or assistance will be GREATLY appreciated!

The only extra step should be the insertion of the original version's DVD, so that the installer can see that you have that. It will come, IIRC, when you plug in your S/N and the installer recognizes that it is an upgrade. Once that original installation disc has been recognized, you should be asked to reinsert the upgrade's installation disc.
Now, for the programs that you are uninstalling, make sure to Deactivate first. This is done from the Help screen, for all products that require Activation.

I had CS3 installed on my windows 8.1 pc. There was an issue with the printer so i uninstalled and tried to reinstall. Now the Acrobat is removed and i cannot get the install to run any longer. It says setup already running.

I am running Windows 8.1, CS3 appears to be installed but when i go into the programs they will not work. I have attempted to remove thru add remove programs but it does nothing. I have tried to reinstall and it says there is already an instance running. HELP!

restart your computer and check your programs (x86) directory to see if cs3 is installed.
if it's not, install it. if it is, open one of your installed programs.

File Access Denied Error trying to load Photoshop CS4 on Windows 7

I am trying to load Photoshop CS4 on Windows 7 64bit & I keep getting File Access Denied. I am unable to read to the disk or to load the program. I do not have the option to open as administrator.

So when you put the disk in it won't run correctly? When the disk is inserted you should have a window pop up with 2 options. 1 to install and the other to see what is on the disk. Choose to explore or open the disk. Go to the CS4 folder where the photoshop .exe file is (that will run the setup), right click on the .exe file and choose run as Admin and it should start. See if it will install. If not then read below.
I am not sure how far you got in the install before so chances are you will have to run the CS4 cleanup utility. 2 levels to run at but don't use 1 or 2 just type in the number 3.

Before you try to reinstall the software ensure that adobe reader is not installed. If it is remove it. It has caused issues in the past with vista and CS4 installs.
Also turn off windows Defender and any anti-virus software. You can keep UAC on in Windows 7.
During the CS4 install at 90 percent it will almost stop and may take 5 to 10 mins to finish. This is normal. What a pain huh......
After install is finished, reboot
After reboot, go to the CS4 64 bit or 32 bit icon (depends on 32 or 64 bit Windows 7) in start area, right click on CS4 64 bit (if you have windows 7 64 bit) and choose properties, compatibility tab and then check run as Admin at the bottom area. Hit apply, ok to close out.
Now start CS4 and run the updater.

Looks like that the version of CS4 which we are installing is an upgrade, If yes you what is the previous qualifying version.
Find the right product and enter the serial number in front of that and bingo it will start working!
