Trying to reinstall DW6 after a computer problem set restore point before I installed DW6

It gets to the point of installing Creative Cloud.  That ends wth a message that Creative Cloud failed to install with no clue why.

    It has the error range of 3000's which states
    Errors 3000-3999 (3002, 3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the gs.apple.com server on ports 80 or 443. This may be because out-of-date or incorrectly configured security or firewall software is interfering, an old version of iTunes is installed, an entry in your hosts file redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see error 1004 above), or because of your Internet proxy settings. If you are using a proxy, try without using one or with a known-good network. If that does not resolve the issue, follow iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues. Error 3014 may indicate that you need to free up more disk space on the computer before trying to restore again. Error 3194 most likely indicates you do not have the latest version of iTunes installed Update to the latest version of iTunes.

    Brigids45434622 for information on how to download your purchased Adobe software please see Find a download link on Adobe.com.  You may also want to utilize a different web browser if you are not being given the option to download your installation files.

    That's a peculiar one to get in the context of a QuickTime uninstall.
    Which particular version of QuickTime for Windows are you currently running? (7.7.5, 7.7.4, something earlier?)

    I re-installed Aperture after a computer erase and disk repair. Reinstalled from my back-up hard drive using migration assitant. Now it will not open. The message I get is this: Aperture cannot b opened because of a problem. Then goes on to say "check with the developer blah blah blah..." even though this is an Apple product. These are the things that drive me to distraction. Anyway, does anyone have a suggestion for a fix??

    Is your signature Mac OS X (10.4) current?
    Reinstalled from my back-up hard drive using migration assitant. Now it will not open.
    Aperture is best be reinstalled by running the installer, not by migrating.
    Before you spend money, reinstall Aperture from your installation media (or from the Trial version download  Aperture 3.1 Trial     , if you are running Aperture 3)
    Then update it immediately from the Apple  menu> Software update, launch it, and enter your serial number(s).
    Are you really sure that there is no crash log?
    The message you are quoting is usually a part of the crash report, when Aperture crashes directly on opening. Do you see this?
    Aperture cannot be opened because of a problem.
    Check with the developer to make sure Aperture works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install available updates for the application and OS X.
    This report will be sent to Apple automatically.
    And what we would need to see, are the first 50 lines of the  "This report ...."

  • Trying to reinstall software after ipod pdf file quit responding

    i tried to do a print out from itunes of the music on my ipod in a pdf format. the computer quit responding and had to close all the windows. I now get an acrodist application error. I have tried to reinstall the software from the design standard 3 cd. When trying to reinstall the software i get errors that then d:\adode cs\payloads directory has bee moved or deleted. i have tried to uninstall the software also and it also will quit responding also. I get about 38 errors that are located at this directory. I tried to install the files on my "D" drive and the install went further until it tried to install acrobat then the computer quits responding again. please advise as wha I can do to get the sofware usable again. I am currently operating on windows XP professional service pack 3.

    thank you for your help, it got me further along then what I was able to do, however I still had some problems.
    I removed all of the adobe software off of the computer then tried using the microsoft installer cleanup tool. The cleanup tool removed all of the adobe programs that were left over. I went to the control panel and still had an acrobat.com program that I could not remove. I kept getting and error that it couldn't remove the file and to contact the vendor if problem continues. the cleanup tool did not show this program in the listing of files. I tried to re-install the software overnight and this morning the computer had a message that the installation was complete but had errors installing acrobat and did not install it. thank you for your help

  • Trying to reinstall/download software to correct problems -- not working

    Main problem: I click on iPhoto and get (after long wait) "iPhoto unexpectedly quit." Thought there was a problem with software so I tried reinstalling same version of iPhoto (4.0.3) (download from apple) and it says "couldn't install on this computer because couldn't find 4.0 or 4.0.1" -- but 4.0.3 is there listed in the Applications menu. I didn't uninstall it. It worked fine last night -- I was trying to send photos to Walgreens to print. I turned off the computer completely (not just sleep) and this morning, iPhoto doesn't work.
    Problems also with Quicktime -- message was that it was an old version and I could see that 4.0 was there but 7.0 was there also. Somehow that got corrected and I can access the most recent version of Quicktime.
    Also having problems with Classic -- it loads to a certain point and then stops. Reinstalling Classic from my original CDs did not help. I've also reinstalled OS X (10.3.9) (download) and that didn't solve any of the above problems either.
    I hope you all out there can give me some advice.

    Those permissions will always be "corrected". That is not the source of your problem.
    Just to review you have done the following;
    •Booted from the install disk and repaired it. No problems found.
    •Reparied permissions no effect
    •Booted safe mode and it had no effect
    •Installed the 10.3.9 update again and no effect
    The only other thing that I can think of is to try logging in as another user. Go to Prefences/Accounts and create a new user. Call it test user or something. Give it a simple password. You are not going to store anything important there so you don't care if anyone has access to that account. Log out of your normal account(your user name) and log in as the new user.
    This will determine if the problem is in your user account or if it is a global system problem. If the new test user has no problems with iphoto, quicktime, or classic then the problem is in your user account.
    If the new test user has the same issues and your user info is backed up then the next step is an archive and install. 90% of the archive and installs go with no problem but there is always a risk of loss of user data so it is best to be safe. You would want to preserve the user preferences and settings in the archive and install process but only if you have verified that a test user has the same problems.

    Computer locks up, so I want to reinstall the OS. I had upgraded to Snow Leopard. 
    Tried to do an archive and install from the DVD that came with the computer, but that failed. 
    Tried to do an erase and install, but the install stops somewhere near the end, 13 minutes to go. Tried several times, same result.
    Can't reboot from the install disk, it just ejects the disk and I get the flashing question mark.
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    I think my hard drive is toast.  When I boot in single user mode, I get the following text:

    Does this indicate a bad hard drive?

  • Accept button instead of Install button when trying to reinstall iPhoto after Clean install

    Hi All,
    I recentely did a clean install for my Lion OS.
    Everything works fine, except iPhoto was missing.
    I opened the App Store app on the mac, and was able to successfully update GarageBand and iMove.
    However, it didn't give me the option to update iPhoto as it did when I opened the mac out of the box.
    I then went to the iPhoto page, and instead of "install" button I now have an "Accept" button.
    When pressing on the accept button, I get the following error message:
    "These apps have already been accepted.
    "These apps were already assigned to your Apple ID and are available in your Purchases list."
    iPhoto is neither present on the Purchases list nor in the update tab.
    Will apprecaite suggestions.

    I already have the 10.7.2 update. Doesn't help.
    Also, the link you specifited is about downloading past purchases from iTunes Store, or the iPhone/iPad App store. I am trying to downloading iPhoto for the Mac from the Mac App Store (the App Store that is installed on the dock). I don't think it is the same stores.
    After your suggestion though, just to be sure, I tried to seach iPhoto (for Lion) on the iTunes Store, but I don't think you can buy it there. It just give you iPhono/iPad results when searching for iPhoto, and I couldn't find iPhoto in any preveriously purchased list on itunes.
    Any other suggestions?

  • Installed photoshop on 4 computers years ago...they all got replaced before we deactivated it...now I am trying to reinstall on a new computer and it says it can't be registered to another computer...HELP!

    I need to get it installed on a new computer but it says I can't register it without deactivating it from another computer first.  Only problem is all of the computers it was registered on are dead now.

    Every time I go to that page it tells me to try troubleshooting, when I select what I need help with it loops me right back to the support page again and tells me to try troubleshooting.  So frustrating.  Adobe should seriously have a phone number people can call.  This is ridiculous.  I want to talk to someone not search online endlessly for hours.  Ugh.

    if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies. 
    the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com). 
    failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.
