Trying to reinstall logic pro and serial number is coming up invalid
I had to reformat my hard drive and I'm trying to reinstall logic pro 9 but the serial munger is coming up as invalid.
If you bought the upgrade DVD version of Logic Studio 2.0 originally.. (LP8 to LP9) then read the dialog boxes carefully as it will ask you to enter the LP8 Full serial as well as the LP9 upgrade serial....
Otherwise, if you are sure you are entering the Full version serial of LP9 correctly.... (Its easy to mistake zeros for O's for example)

Yea I am. I deleted Logic Pro 9 and moved the App to the Trashcan like normal. Then when I go to install it, it says its already Installed. When I do this with other apps; it works fine, the install thing comes back up like it should once you have deleted the app

so im trying to buy logic pro and just recently put enough money in gift cards on my account but every time i click buy app and go to billing info and then click ok it just shoots me to the first screen and did not charge for app how can i buy it ?
This may sound stupid, but I'm gonna throw it out there anyway. Is it possible, that if I have enough junk on my desktop it might disrupt the signal? It seems odd, but it kind of looks like my signal is strong and relatively steady now that I've cleaned my desktop. I do tend to get very cluttered. I use a lot of reference images and save text clippings to use later... it just piles up very quickly.
So, I wonder if all that extra effort my system has to do keeping up with the junk might have something to do with the drop outs? -
I bought photoshop elements 11 on disc. Im trying to download it to my MAC via the serial number, says it is invalid. I know its valid, as I've already used this version on my PC. Im on MAC at the moment.
I bought from Amazon. The PC disc works fine on my PC, but when I try to load the MAC version on my iMac, it says the serial number is invalid. It's Elements Version 11 by the way.

Retrieval of Logic Pro 9 Serial Number after reinstallation of Mountain Lion
Help! I have a Macbook pro (2008- 15") which was getting very cluttered. So I made sure that all was backed up on Time Machine, I did restart cmd R, erased my hard drive and have reinstalled Mountain Lion from the internet. The reason for doing this was to reinstall just my music programmes, but this has not been straightforward.
In trying to re-install Logic Pro 9 (which was an upgrade from 8) it has asked me for the serial number which I CANNOT FIND ANYWHERE. I bought 9 from Regent Street in 2009, but cannot find the email that comfirmed purchase. Logic 8 I bought direct from Apple in 2008 on educational discount, and I do have an Apple ID. However record of purchases kept online seem only to go back 18 months. What can I do??If you have no proof of purchase and no longer the original manual with the serial number, I think you are out of luck.

I've just migrated my Logic Pro 9.1.8 to a new Mac because my old computer crashed. They are asking for a serial number, but I don't have the install disks anymore. Is there someplace in the software itself that I can find the serial number?

I am reinstalling Lightroom 5 and serial number entered is invalid
My system was rebuilt and getting back to the install disk for Lightroom 5.0 where I enter my serial number associated with the install disk and the system will not continue indicating the serial number is invalid. I have entered it several times to make sure it was entered properly to no avail.

Serial number is coming up invalid on new hard drive install
I replaced my hard drive on my mac and am trying to install photoshop elements 12 from a disk I purchased in 2014 and registered on the adobe site. The serial number matches the account registration, but when trying to install it is invalid serial number.

If you program is Photoshop Elements 12, you have posted in the wrong forum. Somehow your thread got posted in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing).

Hello. I have installed a new hard drive on my Macbook Pro with OSX Tiger. I tried to reinstall Logic 8 Pro but it refuses the serial number when I try to install it. I took the serial number from the "About" box when Logic was still installed but no good. The software was originally an upgrade, and I don't think I have the disks for the previous version. What do I do? This is important because I only use the computer for music. Thank you.
There's actually an even simpler solution that doesn't include buying a new version of Logic. He can use his original version easily. Of course, that depends if the OP knows how to effectively use his computer though...

I am trying to reinstall Logic Studio that i bought back in 2008, and I cannot find the serial number. I think I barely remember running into this problem before with this application. When i use the installation disc it tells me that the serial number is located in one of the installation booklets, and it doesn't explain to me which one. Can you help me?

If you still have the receipt or other proof of purchase, you can ask Apple to send you the serial. Otherwise, bad luck mate.. Good news is, you can now buy Logic Pro 9 from App Store for just 199 USD

I have Logic Studio 9 with all the disks and serial number, I have registered my software about three years ago and I cannot find my orginal dongle version/disks/serial number .
How do I install Logic Studio 9 upgrade without them on my reformatted MAC. I don't really feel like paying out for the download version when I have all the software I need already. Can anyone at Apple help me, I need the spare money I have for Final Cut Pro.

got your message about making sure to use the machine specific disk that came with my machine. Unfortunately, Apple no longer sells Tiger replacement disks. I've got a couple of bids out on ebay, and will update when I have news to add to this post.

To be clear you called the 800 number and explained what the situation was, old machine and lost the original DVD's?
Just checking because if you just called and tried to buy the DVD's they might tell you they no longer sell them but you aren't really trying to buy them your trying to replace the ones that are missing.
Ebay may work but there is a certain specificity to the DVD's required which, even if they seem right, might not work.
Good luck either way. If you get a chance when you get the DVD's I'd be interested in hearing how it all works out.
