Trying to reload iTunes
I had the iTunes program files on a company server (bad idea). Quit my job last week and before I could move the iTunes program files to my hard drive, my company shut me down. When I try to reload the iTunes program via the CD, I get a message saying the files can not be found. I assume I get that message because the files are on a server that I can no longer get to. I tried deleting all files related to iTunes, however, there must still be some refernce to the files on the server becuase I am getting no where. Does anyone know how I can reload the CD as if I was a first-time iTunes user? I tried going into the Control Panel and removing all iTunes files, but that too gave me a message saying it could not get to the files on the Server.

okay ... if your Registry seems to be completely in order, as per the InstallShield document, let's try a different technique.
download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. use it to remove any itunes and QuickTime installation configuration information on the PC.
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
now use the the following document as a guide to manual removal of any leftover QuickTime or iTunes program/system files that might be lurking on your PC (even though the bulk of them presumably are on your ex-server).

PC crashed trying to reload iTunes from XML file.
I am trying to reload iTunes library from a XML file. I followed the support suggestions of draging and droping the file into the music tab in itunes. As well as placeing the XML file into the iTunes library itself. I have had zero luck with either. If I open the XML file I can see a ton of script and code. OK, I decided to give Apple more money and bought iTunes Match. It seems to be more headachs than it's worth. And it's neglected by Apple. Last time I'll be doing that! that's for sure!

Trying to reload itunes-error message
I had something wrong with my laptop, had everything removed and now reloading everything. itunes music was stored somewhere, need to reload it back in to itunes, but first having challenges loading the itunes back on. keep getting error message when trying to open. tried deleting and reloading. what am I doing incorrectly? after this is installed, need assistance importing songs back to itunes. please help!

I normally do backups of my iTunes music files. After a recent hard disc failure I tried to reload iTunes from these backups. This was ok, i.e. the music was all there but I lost my ratings. How do I have to save the music library to include the rating information?

I JUST PURCHASED THE IPADAIR, I AM TRYING TO BACKUP ALL MY STUFF FROM MY OLD IPAD5 TO THE CLOUD, THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING IS THAT MY ITUNES WILL NOT OPEN TO SYNC. MY COMPUTER IS RUNNING ON XP VISTA. 7.7 sounds more like a QuickTime version number than an iTunes version number.
If you update to the most recent version of the QuickTime Player, does that clear up the message?

Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I am trying to update iTunes so that I can sync my new iPhone. I get a message Error 7 (Windows Error 127). I have uninstalled all Apple software and tried to reload with no luck. I have also cleaned my computer's registry with registry cleaning software. Even tried reloading operating system disk to fix errors. Any ideas?

I clicked "yes" to upgrade iTunes and now it doesn't work. I get an error message stating my computer is missing MSVCR80 and then a message stating Error 7 (Windows Error 126). I've tried reloading iTunes twice. What can I do?

My Itunes quit functioning so I removed it and when I tried to reload i keep getting a runtime error. Program: C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\itunes\itunes.exe. R6034. Any suggestions?

iTunes doesn't recognize my iPad. Computer just sees it as a camera. Tried all the fixes, except for reloading iTunes; I do have the most current iTunes available. Any ideas?
Nobody from Apple answers any questions here other than those that go longer than 24 hours without a response and all that those Apple people do is to direct users to kb articles that might help in given situations. It pretty much ends there. So don't expect "Apple" to hear your pleas.
if you want help from Apple, make an appointment at an Apple store and see if they can diagnose the problem for you. The only other thing that I could suggest is to connect your iPad to another computer running iTunes. If iTunes sees the iPad, then the issue is on your computer somewhere. If you try this, you want to turn off auto sync on the other computer. Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices>Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. -
I am unable to access iTunes. Receive error regarding data execution prevention. I've changed the Performance Options to exclude DEP for iTunes and I've tried unloading/reloading. Still no success. Suggestions?
Try updating your QuickTime to the most recent version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?

I have a generation 3 ipod 80 gig. When I updated itunes to 11.1.11 and tried to sync the ipod it erased it and now wont recognize it. I can't seem to make this work I have reset the ipod, reloaded itunes all to no effect. Any ideas?
Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -
When trying to open ITunes, I got an error message of msvcr80.dll can not be found.
Assuming that it was an iTunes file, I reinstalled iTunes.
Trying to open again, I got an error message of an appication is trying to open a library file incorrectly.
How do I resolve this problem.
Neither my PC with Vista nor my my laptop with windows 7 will work?

Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

Try a Hard Reset.....
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds. Ignore the swipe to turn off message. -
I had a virus on the pc I have itunes on. The person who fixed it, put all files in 1 file and put it on the desktop. I could not access the itunes at all so finally, I reloaded Itunes and got all my music back. When I synched both my ipods, it had to erase the ipod and load the current page...no problem. Today I had my ipod on shuffle and the songs started to play. Then a song came on and it played part of the song and went to the next one. It started doing this on about every 3 songs. I got home and tried to play the song off my itunes page and the samething happened. This is music I bought from itunes.
I am not a pc person and this is totally frustrating me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
