Trying to repair Time Machine, but it doesn't seem to work...

I have been having some problems with Time Machine (and it might be my own fault.) I was trying to retrieve some old documents that were lost in the iCloud and now Time Machine won't backup. I tried to repair the drive using disk utility, but it would stop about halfway through the process and recommended to start over with a new backup and erase the old one. However, while doing research online, i found this article http://blog.jthon.com/?p=31 but i can't get it to work...does anyone have any suggestions?

Hard Drive: The Hard Drive is on my camera (Sony Handycam)
Just needed some info on what is going on with your particular system.
Knowing the exact camera model will also assist us.
If this camera is standard AVCHD you should be able to connect with USB to Mac with FCE open and use Log and Transfer without all the fiddling around converting etc.
What FCE does during ingest is convert files to AIC. (Apple Intermediate Codec)
FCE cannot read the individual files in the BDMV folder, that's why all the converting is required when you use that method.
BTW: regards formatting drives/cards/memory on cameras; it is wise to use the actual device to format rather than a computer. This is a prime cause of read/write goof ups with solid state media. This applies to still or video cameras.
Keeping the COMPLETE card/memory structure in tact is vital for successful transfers.

Was it downloaded or was a disc purchased?
What is your operating system?
Is it version Photoshop Elements 13?
Did you use a redemption code to get a serial number?
Did you sign in/activate?

No problems syncing contacts with the Address Book or with anything else included with the iTunes sync process?

Ok, I had a glitch, forced to restart, and lost my train of thought.
Reinstalling iTunes should fix the major issue that might have gone wrong, perhaps your explaination points will disappear and everything will be peachy again.
But if they don't, you can open the XML file in iTunes Folder using a Text edit program to see what the common pathname is to the iTunes Music folder or where your content is located.
If you moved the itunes folder, it needs to go back.
I can't download iTunes to my Vista virtual machine to test it out right now because iTunes is down, so I can't verify the pathname, perhaps your issue and the iTunes being down are related somehow?
You don't want to import all your music again, but it's a option, but you lose all your playlists, that's what I'm trying to recover.
If oyu don't have a whole lot of playlists, then simply select all the explaimation point music and delete, select File from the menu and import your itunes folder again.

I've tried using Caleb's approach (which is the same as I used with Lion), but the programme doesn't respond now that I have installed Mountain Lion.
My problem is that I do not want to use IE7 but that a programme I need regular access to will only allow IE7 and I've been told by the developers that it is too expensive to upgrade this programme to allow it to be used by other browsers.
So, my puzzle remains the same. I could access IE7 and use the programme using Caleb's solution with Lion. I can't do the same with Mountain Lion. I do (I think!) understand your point about the programme requiring IE7 specifically, but if it worked on Lion, why isn't it working on Mountain Lion? Or was I just lucky before?
I'll try mende1's approach, though I doubt I'm technical enough to virtualise anything!

I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong during the uninstall/reinstall process. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
In the Control Panel, Add/Remove programs, look for '''Mozilla Firefox'''. Make sure to save (do not delete) your personal settings when uninstalling.

Whenever I drag photos from safari to my desktop, it keeps on auto-arranging them. I've tried checking the arrange to none view option but it doesn't seem to work. HELP, PLEASE?

Time machine with spotlight does not seem to work

I created a text document with Pages. The text: This is a test for time machine.
I saved the document in 1 folder as a pages doc, MS Word doc, and rtf.
I gave each document a different name, so only the contents was the same.
After 5 hours I deleted the documents.
If I search in the folder using time machine, I can recover them. However, if I type "This is a test" spotlight cannot find them once they have been deleted.
I was thinking spotlight was supposed to work in conjunction with Time Machine. But it seems not.

WOW guys, I have been searching for the answer to this ALL DAY long. I even spent about 2 hours on the phone with a level 2 tech who could not figure this out for the life of him. Glad I found this page. Here is the catch however, the tech claims his 10.5.1 system does not behave this way and automatically spotlight searches everywhere. Even worse, I called the Apple store and they stated the same thing, that there new 8 core MP running 10.5.1 did not do this either, that spotlight searched everywhere even in the user/system folder automatically. Now I am totally lost. Are there different builds out there that work differently?

I want to create a duplicate table (button click by user) but instanceManager doesn't seem to work

I have a table that needs to be duplicated, in whole, not just adding a row, on the next page of a form.
Scenario: The user enters data (employment history) on the first table but requires an additional page with table to complete all work history.
1. I've created a simple table (Table1) wrapped in Subform_EmployHistory which is inside SubformMain_Page2. Theses are the object properties; which I haven't done anything to, yet.
Subform_EmployHistory is Flowed
Allow Page Breaks is unchecked

2. I've added a "Subform Instance Controls: Add" button object outside the table and its subform
3. Have tried to script the button to allow user to create a new page duplicating the table (not duplicating the data they entered on the first page) table but nothing seems to work.
4. What you see in the next screen clip has not had any script changed or added. Just what shows up when the instance control button is first placed on the page.
What should my script look like? Or, am I using the wrong approach altogether.

You did, an iPad is a tablet.
Anyway, no Flash based games like those cannot be played because iPad does not support Flash. In fact, pretty much no tablets short of the ones running Windows 8 Pro will run Flash based games as Adobe has ceased development of the Mobile version of flash.
It would be better for Farmville and the like to move over to HTML 5 based games that cna be run on most tablets and smartphones

After accepting update to my time capsule, I can no longer complete a backup because there is not enough space. I tried deleting old files, but it doesn't seem to work. Any advice:

How much space is there according to airport utility?
TM can be fussy.. Do a factory reset of the TC and give it a new name. Use short, no space and pure alphanumeric type names..
And reset TM. See A4 here. http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html
Then set up TM again to the TC and see if TM will start .. the reset will not hurt the backup and TM can still find it on a renamed TC.

Connect the iPod to its syncing computer and restore via iTunes on the computer. If iTunes does not see the iPOd try:
- Placing the iPod in recovery mode.

8320 with Data Plan but it doesn't seem to work

I just bought a NEW Blackberry curve 8320 off ebay. My service provider is Fido and i called them today to activate a data plan. I can now see EDGE appear next to my connection bars therefore I assume that the data plan is enabled on my account. However i cannot use the browser unless connected to my home wifi network, I have a read a few posts and it says to go and select " INTERNET " instead of "HOTSPOT" in the browser settings but i don't have any other options besides HOTSPOT. I also downloaded the gmail app and since i believe it doesn't work thru the wifi connection it also says no network available so to me that is another sign that there is an issue with my EDGE connection. I tried the Host Routing Table send message thing ( i scrolled thru the multiple lines and clicked on the one in BOLD letters and clicked register now). a few seconds later i get a message that says my blackberry has been registered to the wireless network but nothing is fixed. I logged onto the fido.blackberry.ca site to activate the e-mail and when i enter the pin and the imei it says invalid format, i made sure i typed them in properly i looked under the battery and in the option -> status and the numbers all match so i don't know what else to do. Could there be an issue with Fido and unlocked phones? And i can't install Blackberry App world cause it says my phone does meet the requirements. Any help would be appreciated. thank you
P.S : I did call fido about the problem but since it isn't there phone thay can't help me. All i want is for the internet and e-mails to work

Again, your story points out a major problem of purchasing a Blackberry off of Ebay (Amazon, Craigslist, etc., etc.,).
Ebay and Amazon act as a show room for private sellers (generally used rarely NIB) and at least in the case of Amazon as an authorized reseller. Ebay, I believe has vendors who are authorized resellers through their Ebay store front.
Yes, you can get fantastic deals through either. The downside is that you don't have a person to speak to, you don't have an individual that you can reach across the counter and grab by their shirt collar.
Buying off t he internet from other than a carrier's website is rife with problems that are not easy to resolve.
A "properly" unlocked 8320 would not have had the issues you ran into. A reputable individual wishing to privately sell a Blackberry through Ebay or Amazon would have taken the steps to unlock the device and insured that the Pin has been released prior to putting it up for sell.

At least here with the hungry carriers you don't need to go the third party sellers as if you want to sign on the dotted line for a two year contract the instrument costs are very very low.
I have my "old" Storm 9530 I unlocked in preparation for a tour of Europe. It was replaced by a 9550 which I haven't unlocked yet. Right now, it is my "back up" BB but should I decide to put it on the market honor would require that it be ready to go on any carrier. That's just me however.
I would start firing off emails to the seller...you deserve a working device.
