Trying to replace Mac without Serial Number. HELP!

So last September I had the back replaced on my 13inch MacBook Pro and thus the serial number was removed with it (which i wasn't overly concerned about as I could access it via 'About This Mac). However, this morning I had an unfortunate incident with a vase of flowers where in the content of said vase was spilled onto my mac. Apple Store said the mac is Beyond Economical Repair but luckily I can claim on insurance. Here is the problem!
Apple will not give me a written confirmation of damage or a like-for-like quote without my serial number to prove the mac isn't stolen. I bought the mac in the USA and no longer have the packaging, original receit and obviously cannot access serial number through the mac anymore. I upgraded to Lion two weeks ago so it is not registered to my Apple ID either.
I believe they have details of who purchased the mac because they asked whether I knew John Doe, who is my father (he bought it on his AMEX but didn't keep the receit). I have the AMEX statement, which has the date of purchase and price but no details of what was actually bought and I aslo have the original registration email from the day the mac was purchased but none of these have the serial number on.
Any advice???

This means you have the iWork '09 trial installed. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user. Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

Post Good Receipt without serial number

Dear Expert,
My client use serial number management for good movement. But they have requirement to set serial number as blank when they perform GR non stock (GR for PO with account assignment) while serial number still mandatory for GR stock (GR for PO without account assignment). Is there any possibility to accommodate this requirement? Is there any user exit or enhancement to post GR non stock without serial number while serial number usage in serializing procedure set as 03 (Obligatory). Please kindly help. Your response is really appreciated and helpful answer will be rewarded.

Hi,
You have the solution already, tell the users not to use the material master when procuring non-stock items.
Because later on your are going to reach a point where users want to procure non-material however they will use a material number and forget to enter a account assignment and then what is going to happen????
It will result in procurement of stock materials...
What are they procuring using material numbers as non-stock items????

The right channel of my Creative EP-830 headphones doesn't work anymore and since I bought it only 8 months ago (in a Dutch store: www.bol.com), I want to claim my warranty. However, I don't have the packaging anymore and thus I also don't have any serial number. And for some ridiculous reason Creative has seemingly set up its site such that it is impossible to contact them through e-mail or phone without a serial number.
How can I contact them to claim my warranty in the Netherlands? I have not been able to find any phone number on the website, and every time I get to an e-mail form to contact them it wants the serial number of my headphones, which I don't have.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially since this is not the first time I'm having broken Creative headphones within the warranty period.

Item was received without serial number by mistake.

Purchasing department for one of my
clients added a product managed by serial numbers instead of by batches
in error. Product was received incorrectly, and no serial number was
entered. Now they cannot create a transaction to get this product off
the inventory (credit memo).it is asking for the S# but the item was receive without
serial number.\
I dont know how they were able to enter the AP invoice without entering a serial number, but looks like they did and now they cannot take it out from the inventory.

Is the item managed by serial numbers "On release" or on "Every Transaction". If it is on release only, it would not need a serial number to be received, just issued.
If this is the case, it can be issued with a dummy number to get it out of stock, then the correction can be made & it can be brough back in correctly.

The serial number doesn't tell us anything. Open  > About this Mac > More Info, and tell us the first two lines of the window, where you should see MacBook Pro and a line below, which indicates the model you have:

If you want to upgrade, make a backup of your files and check that your applications are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com Then, open the Mac App Store and purchase Mountain Lion. HT201173 Trying to register my Mac Mini. Applecare registration will not take my Mac Mini serial number.

I've typed and retyped the serial number off of the box and off the About this Mac. Also tried copy and paste.

The Platform Swap process only applies to current versions of Creative Suite. The last ever current version of Creative Suite is CS6.

You can certainly download the software. You don't ever need your discs again for that. However, the software (disc or download) will only ever install as a 30 day time limited trial version until you enter a valid serial number.
Thus you will always need your serial number for any re-install so you must keep it safe and handy.
Try logging in to your Adobe account on the Adobe website and see if the serial number can be found there.

               First, the answer depends on the exact error that you get.
               1. If the error is "invalid serial number", then you must be using the wrong installation media or Operating System. This is the main reason.
               2. If the error is " serial number is valid however it's previous qualifying serial number is not found ", the serial number you have is an upgrade serial number, which will require it's previous qualifying serial number which you need to have, previous qualifying versions supported are CS4, CS3 and CS2.
               For further easy solution, I would suggest you contact adobe customer support.

Then you need to get your hands on those disks.
In the future, register your products immediately and write down the serial numbers for safe keeping. You never know when you may need them again.
