i am trying to restor my imac to factory setting but it says my apple id has not purchased lion but i got the imac brand new plz help

Instead of using Guided Access to lock editable areas, turn off touch.
You can loop it then start the presentation. Once it starts activate Guided Access and disable touch.
You can even use another iOS device to remote control the presentation.

You may want to follow the steps outlined in the following article to make sure that there are no issues with your Hard Drive prior to attempting partitioning for Boot Camp.

If you bring up Safari browser, and go to www.google.com, does it give you an error?
It is possible that you are not getting DNS. From the OSX terminal can you run the following two commands
1. dig www.google.com
2. ifconfig en0
3. ifconfig en1
4. ping -c 3 www.google.com

I can't say why it should be doing this. If it persists then your only options are to set it up on another Mac or iOS device if you can (then you will be able to sign into it), or failing that to contact Support - though I don't know how helpful they are likely to be.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

The iPad and related software is designed to sync with only one computer. I suggest transferring the photos from one of your iMacs to the other so that all photos are on one Mac. Same for all other files you want to sync over.
To get those AppleWorks files to the iPad you'll have to determine if Pages will open them. If it will then use the file sharing feature of iTunes to copy them to Pages on your pad.
If Pages will not open the AppleWorks files directly you'll have to save them in some format that Pages will read. These include but may not be limited to Pages and Word formats.

That's not quite the proper way as far as I can tell. Usually, one boots directly into the Recovery HD using COMMAND and R keys at startup. If you cannot do that then most likely there is a problem with the hard drive. Since this is a new computer i would make a Genius Appointment and take it in for service.

Insert the DVD that came with the machine. Re-start the machine. Then select " erase and install " from the options that follow on screen....

Newbie trying to update iMac as far as it will go without having to purchase a new one yet. If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

I am trying to use a microsoft webcam & set up video/voice communication on MSN messenger. I can do instant messaging but have had no success with video. I have a wrt54g wireless router - It seems to be start to connect but then gives off a connection or time out message - Any one have problems doing this or a solution ?
Linksys chat suggested it may be related to the firewall & maybe updating the firmware - but looking at other messages here, am skeptical -- I had similar connection problems with AIM.

hi... logon to the router's setup page and try reducing the MTU values to 1365,click on the "applciations & gaming" try forwarding 6901 port for Voice communication...and as far as Video communication concern you need to forward the port for the Webcam that you are using, get in touch with the Microsoft and get the port no. of the particular camera that you are using.. and forward it on the router's setup page...also make sure that you have latest firmware installed on the router...check whether it works for you or not and let me know...

Dmatthews5 do you receive any specific error messages when you try to download? Is the error occurring when downloading and installing the Creative Cloud Desktop application?
