Trying to restore, now at a grey screen saying connect to itunes.
I dont know what to do. I forgot the password so i restored it. Now its at a grey screen and saying connect to itunes. I did connect and nothing happened. So i rebooted it and nothing happened. What do i click on? Do i need to restore again?

Whilst synching to my PC it said there was a software update for the iPhone.
It is now stuck with a message saying connect to iTunes. I've tried resetting it in various ways but it still comes back to Connect to iTunes, but it won't.

Never before have i ever updated my iphone off the computer, there has been issue with backs up. So i went to back up my iphone 4s, it needed to be updated. so i updated it, during the update something had occur and my iphone 4s screen says connect to itunes be it wont connect???? i tried so many things. You connect the iPod to your computer with iTunes and restore via iTunes. If iTunes does not see the iPod try:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X
or
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
If iTunes asks for the passcode and you can't enter it or if iTunes does not see the iPod, manually placing the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode:

I had reset all my settings and erased my data on my ipod touch, well then a screen popped up saying to connect to itunes, i did so and my ipod will not show up on itunes, help please and the screen will not go away saying connect to itunes either
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

When I plugged my iPod into my macbook, a window for an iPod Touch software update popped up, so I clicked update, then it said that my iPod was over capacity or something similar to that, so basically I didn't have enough room for the update, which I thought was fine. So then once I unplugged my iPod, I was unable to use it. The screen was telling me to connect to iTunes (how it does when you first purchase an iPod, and turn it on for the first time.) So, I then connected it to iTunes and it told me I had to restore my iPod, it gave me no option other than to click "restore" But I don't want to lose everything that's on my iPod...but now I can't use it because the screen is still telling me to connect to itunes. How do I get out of restoring it?
If you have a graphic of iTunes and a cable displayed on your iDevice then it is in Recovery mode.

I restored my iPod touch 4G to get iOS 5, I want to restore it to my setting's I had before, so I selected "restore from iTunes backup" on the ipod. "connect to iTunes" on the new set up screen on the ipod. But I already restored it to my previous settings from iTunes. I have tried connecting it and re-syncing it.
