Please help, since updating my iphone 5 to ios7.1 my icloud account has reverted to my old apple id. My apple id has been changed for quite a while and it worked fine before? I have checked my apple id and it is correct on my itunes account but not icloud. Not sure how to change it? Thanks
To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn of Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn of Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Hi i recently changed mi apple id for my Mac, ipad and iphone With great difficulty i managed to change my Ipad\Iphone id for itunes and icloud
But on my mac, itunes is ok but icloud is blocked on to my old Apple id I thought it would would automatically sync when ichanged the id in itunes
Obviously not Can somebody pleas help ThanksYou need to go to System Preferences (this may be called Settings in Mountain LIon)>iCloud and sign out. Then sign in with the new ID.

I have been having problems with my email, (Myway,) for a few days. Today it would not open at all. I continued to try and got a message saying the pages had been redone and some pages were no longer available . I tried IE and it opened, I then tried Google Chrome it opened alright. I prefer to use Firefox but if I can't access my mail I will have to change browsers for everything..
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Email is 'Sent' but does not reach destination - Please Help
Hi Guys,
Need some help with this. I have recently discovered that all emails I have been sending from Mail over the last month or so have not reached their destinations.
I get no error messages when sending from Mail - the email is dispatched as usual, the sound is heard and mail deposited in my 'Sent' folder. I have tested this by emailing myself with no joy.
Interestingly, the 'webmail' facility via the internet works OK and emails are all received. So looks like the problem lies at my end.
Have checked the settings for the outgoing mail server (my current Portugal ISP) and they seem OK. I do not recall having touched anything here.
The mail account is one of those free POP mail accounts with my old UK ISP which I have continued to use successfully out here since august...that is until now!
I am using Port 25 without SSL and no authentication - everything as before. Have already tried changing the port to those mentioned in similar threads but nothing gives.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

If Mail puts the message in the Sent mailbox, that means Mail has got confirmation from the SMTP server that the message will be delivered. Whether the SMTP server actually does what it promised, or the message is filtered out by the recipient’s incoming server for some reason, is another story that Mail can do nothing about.

Sending messages via webmail is not the same as sending them via SMTP. If the problem is at your end, it’s at the server-side part of your end; more specifically, at the SMTP server part... -
Thumbnails still appear but the photo is gone - please help!
I've already Googled the crap out of this, and it's happened before and I was able to use Finder to recover some of the original files, but I can't seem to do that this time. Maybe I'm not finding the link that helped me before or something but I NEED these photos.
I'm using iPhoto 11 and I use Lightroom 5 to edit. I drag flagged images from iPhoto to LR and then export to desktop first, then I move them into iPhoto and Finder - the same album in each location for easy access and multiple backup. I hear 'dragging' can sometimes mess with files, though I'm not sure why. And besides that I am not good at organizing LR so that may contribute to it. I simply import, edit, export and move onto the next project. I only want to use it like a post processing program, not an uploader or storage program....
When I test an image that isn't already gone like this, from the same album, it doesn't work. It won't drag and I can't even find iPhoto library while inside LR in order to manually upload it.
This must be an issue with LR/user error because the images that are currently gone are images I've already edited/exported. I'm sure to not delete from disk when I delete photos from LR though, so I just don't know!

Lr is not an editor. Like iPhoto it's a database with lossless processing. Images need to be imported and exported from it. You really need to choose between the two apps as they occupy the same role in the workflow. Using both is like writing your novel in TextEdit and Word at the same time.

You're not getting your original files, just the iPhoto previews.

Then you are better off using a post processing program and not a manager instead of one. All your problems come down to that.
So, get an external editor - and in the list below they are all less epensive than Lr, - and your workflow will be a lot less complicated.
In order of price here are some suggestions:
Seashore (free)
The Gimp (free)
Graphic Coverter ($45 approx)
Acorn ($50 approx)
Pixelmator ($50 approx)
Photoshop Elements ($75 approx)
There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store.
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto. -
Old Apple ID email/password when trying to restore from iCloud backup
I've seen variations of this question being asked previously, but I haven't seen any real solutions provided (or any that have worked).
About a year or so ago, I changed the primary email on my Apple ID from an old email address I rarely-to-never use anymore. Ever since then, when I try to upgrade a device or restore from back-up, I get asked to enter the password from my old email address. Since I this is no longer the address I use, even if I enter the password for my current Apple ID, it says it's incorrect and won't let me proceed any further. I have tried re-adding this email to my Apple ID account (doesn't work), I've tried making that email my primary Apple ID again (doesn't work and causes the same issue to occur with restoring apps I've downloaded since changing the Apple ID email), and I've tried just skipping that step in the restore process, but then it doesn't restore all of my apps.
Seems odd to me that my Apple account doesn't use some sort of unique identifier for the Apple ID accounts as a whole instead of trying to recognize purchases based on whatever email someone was using at the time.
Anyway, if anyone knows of a way to fix this, I would be forever grateful! I just got a new device today and would love to restore from backup smoothly without losing any of my data that might be in the apps attached to that old Apple ID email.

and then set up as new
after this is done
then you can restore from itunes back up with out any error!!

I have updated my Apple ID and password, but am now getting a message that iCloud can't sync. On my iPod Touch, it still is showing up as my old Apple ID/email address.

How do I change my old apple id email to my new one
I lost/broke my iPhone and I needed to update my password on my apple ID, so after struggling I changed that. I used that opportunity to also change my primary email to one I now use because I created that Apple ID years ago. Because I didn't have my phone anymore, I had to change my ID on nearly every device I use (iPad, Mac). Now, I have a replacement iphone, however I can't get my icloud to work because it has the old Apple ID email. It won't let me sign out of that account or even delete it. I just want to sign into the icloud with my new email. It won't let me sign out because I had find my iphone turned on. How can I change the email on there, or delete that account, or anything regarding the icloud account?
Please help, any feedback would make my life much less stressful.

Help!!!The apple id login is never deleted. The emaill address itself can be disabled or not in use any longer. The apple id login will still be available to you. If you will go to the website My Apple Id

and use the listed apple id login that your apps are asking for to update - once you have changed the password at the lsted website you then will be able to update using the old apple id once you have logged into the device using the old apple id and password.

One, you cannot delete an Apple ID, all you can do is stop using it and let it fade away.
Two, apps are permanently tied to an aPple ID and can never be transferred to another. You must use that same ID to update an app, or delete the app and repurchase/download under another ID.
