Trying to return to Firefox BUT, it will not let me in. Will Firefox contact me, they won't even send me a new password! XXX-XXX-XXXX

Sounds like you've set a master password. This is stored in Firefox - we don't have access to this (for your privacy) so we can't retrieve for you. To reset your password:
#Open the Android settings app
#Go to Apps and find Firefox
#Tap on Firefox
#In the Firefox app info screen, tap "Clear data"

Thanks for the welcome Karsten! I’ve checked the installer disks – which appear to have all the main pieces of software, but not iDVD. If you or anyone knows where it might be hidden that would be great. Thanks for all the other info too!
Thanks Lennart – I don’t think my computer could support iLife ’05 as it is running Mac OSX 10.3.2 and I’ve just been looking at its system requirements which state it requires 10.3.4 minimum – if you know differently, please let me know. As an alternative I have considered getting iLife ’04, but your comment about iLife ’05 being the first version to support external drives worried me (“iDVD 5 is the first iDVD version that officially supports external burners“ does this mean there is an unofficial option for iLife ‘04? Perhaps a patch similar to the one mentioned by Karsten), does that mean iLife ’04 would not support an external Lacie DVD writer?
What is the earliest version of Toast I’d be able to use (as a money saving option!)?

I have downloaded all IP changer Privacy software I have purchased and am trying to install it, and although it is made to work with WindowsME that I am currently using on my computer, it now says it requires Firefox 3 or above to be able to install the software. Therefore, I am trying to update my Firefox to current 3.6 but once Firefox 3.6 downloads it doesn't install. Instead I just keep getting the same error message: Setup has caused an error in SETUP.EXE. Set up will now close. Several times, I have also tried restarting the computer as the error message also recommended But I just still keep getting the same error message when I try to update/install Firefox 3.5. Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last ever version of Firefox for Win98 / SE / ME.
You can get it from here, but you are better off using K-Meleon (derived from Firefox) or Opera instead an old version of Firefox:

You can try KernelEx to get Firefox 3+ to work, but it would be very slow with an old PC of less than 750Mhz. 3.5 and later supposedly doesn't work.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

I think in this case, you may be best to speak with Microsoft about this, as it does seem like an issue with Office, and not your Mac.

You can try to repair the permissions for the Firefox application files and folders.
You can also do this:
* Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re)install.
* Install the new version that you have downloaded.
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

I have a MAC with OS 10.6.7 and after upgrading Adobe Flash Player to 10.1.102.64, after which I got a message saying Firefox was no longer protected against online attacks. I tried to upgrade to Firefox 4.0.1, could download it but could not install it

When I tried to drag the Firefox icon (as instructed after downloading) to Applications, it kept "bouncing" back. I have assumed my system would not accept it.

What have you figured out? Anything? What you show just shows a pretty quiet system except for firefox having a bunch of tabs open. You've got some page ins and outs so you maybe your'e hitting your HD with swap files more than what you think?
I think something like coconut battery app or something like it will tell you the charge cycles on the battery. How many do you have?
Lastly, are you using any extensions like ad blocker, or click to flash?

I'm trying to return a Hashtable object from a method defined as:

In the calling method, I'm using:
Hashtable<Object,Object> table=new Hashtable<Object,Object>();
table=(Hashtable<Object,Object>)Test.getValues(str);
I get the compiler warning as shown below:
Note: App.java uses unchecked or unsafe operations.
Note: Recompile with -Xlint:unchecked for details.
Upon compiling with -Xlint:unchecked option, I get:

were your method to return a Map<Object, Object> rather than a HashMapyou could transparently return either a HashMap or a HashTable - or anything else that implements the Map interface - without changing any of the code that actually calls this method. you will still, obviously, need to instantiate one inside the method
hence the mantra "code to an abstraction, not a concrete type"

According to your post, my understanding is that you got an error when tried to return the information from the external content.
Did the error occur when you created a new external content type or created a external list?
You can check the steps with the following articles about how to create a external content type.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

I have a Power PC Mac with OS 10.5.8 and Firefox 3.6.28, the latest versions supported on my machine, and all of my plug-ins are the latest versions available for that browser version. I too get the warning message all the time and it is very annoying. I have never had any "security" problems, and I don't go along with this imperative to always be upgrading equipment. Don't these corporate geeks understand that we're in a global economic contraction and a lot of us are unemployed/underemployed? They want us to be good consumers and "switch to a newer computer" but I can't afford that. Like, if I can't fix my old car, I won't be able to drive. The work offline option can be found from Firefox button -> Web developer or from the menubar toolbar -> Work offline (Or at least thats what happens in Windows).
Have you any other reason for being offline; router off, firefox not dialing up or whatever. Or is security software or a firewall blocking firefox, or a network connection, or firefox setting etc set wrongly.

I tried to upgrade to Firefox 4.0. I keep getting error message"Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox. Do you want to reboot now." I check yes and it reboots, but keeps giving the same error message.
