Trying to run 3 monitors with eyefinity

I purchased an MSI 5670 video card and a Dell displayport monitor. I already had 2 acer monitors. I only have the option to create a 2 monitor group. 3x1 or 1x3 is not an option. Any ideas? Is the display port on my monitor a passive port?

I've tried - ATI Cataylist suite 10.1, 10.2, and 10.3
I've also tried running all 3 monitors at 1024x768
I found this great video explaining how to set this up:
Unlike in the video, I'm never able to activate all 3 monitors at once. When I try to duplicate the 3rd display, I'm told I need to disable 1 of the other 2.

Yes, run one from HDMI and the other from Thunderbolt/minidisplayport sockets. In EyeTV Preferences check the screen you want for full screen use and make sure your Dock is on the other one.

I have problem while upgrading SQL developer 4.0.0.12 to 4.0.0.13 on my windows 64 bit machine. 4.0.0.12 version is working good, where as 4.0.0.13 is showing below error while starting it.
I did try sqldveloper.exe and its not working, So I started running sqldeveloper.bat to get more information, also added AddJavaLibFile & SetMainClass to sqldevloper.conf but no luck. Could you please help in this regard.

What is the best way to run dual monitors with a 2011 MBP?

I have a 2011 MBP and i want to run dual 1920x1080 monitors. what is the best way to accomplish this? i also have a PC attached to the monitors with the DVI connection (but would be willing to change this to the analog, if necessary). so i have teh analog and HDMI connections available on the backs of the monitors.
what i would like to do is hook the MBP through the HDMI if possible and then i would just be able to change inputs on the monitors depending in which computer i want to use (PC or MBP).
any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Problem trying to run photoshop roundtrip with aperture/automator

i have been trying to install photoshop round-trip to use with aperture but it is not working.
first, i created a folder called automator in the main library and drag the "start photoshop roundtrip.action" file.
second, i copied the photoshop action pack to my photoshop cs2, inside my application folder
third, i restarted the computer (aperture loves quit and restart).
now, i am trying to run photoshop round-trip from my aperture menu from automator, but i dont see the option for photoshop round-trip.
what i am doing wrong?

When I run activity monitor with no programs running my dock shows fluctuating usage...between 4% up to 20%. Random figures that come and go with corresponding CPU usage. A little help?

My activity monitor show random and fluctuating CPU usage at the Dock site with absolutelyno programs running. %'s fluctuate between 3 - 20 and they pretty much come and go. What might be causing this?

There's a lot of background processes running that aren't documented as Apps as such. And some of them are the Time Machine backups, Spotlight searches, all kinds of small little bits of maintenance caches, there's a lot going on. So it's not completely out of the question that this is 'normal' for a Mac. If it were 50% or more I would be concerned but if it spikes up to 20% for a second or two you are probably not in any trouble of any kind.

XML error when trying to run any report with add/remove programs - worked briefly after SP1 upgrade - no longer works

This problem was solved in SP1 if you are still having this problem after applying SP1, then you need to contact CSS directly for support, they will work with you to solve this problem.

Running dual monitors with a H520s

I recently purchased a H520s - 47461VU desktop unit. I have 2 older flat panel monitors which I hoped to use with the machine. I soon realized that the integrated video card had no DVI output so I purchased a 28AWG High Speed HDMI® to DVI Adapter Cable w / Ferrite Cores to connect the second monitor. At startup both monitors have a display, but within a minute or so the second monitor (connected to the HDMI port) goes dark. I have check the monitor settings but am not able to correct the issue. Is there a limitation of the graphics card that is preventing these monitors from functioning properly?

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
If you have the onboard Intel HD Graphics 2000 or 4000, then you're setup is probably one analog VGA DB-15 connector on 1 monitor and an HDMI to DVI connector on the other. If you get a black screen on the latter, can you try to:
1. Perform a scan for hardware changes under the device manager to identify the monitor that's connected to the HDMI to DVI-D converter.
2. Check this guide on how to configure clone or extended dual monitor mode on the Intel HD Graphics

Trying to run 2 displays with different content?

Hello all,
I currently use my Mac for everything except some specific programs have to be run on a virtual platform of other OS. I also use a separate larger screen to display. Now...is it in any way possible for me to use both displays (Mac's screen and separate display) and run each OS separately? Right now, when I press Command, both the mouse and keyboard switch between Mac and the emulated platform. So basically, I would love to be able to use them ''independantly'' considering each has its own purpose. Is that even possible in any way?

I'm not sure what you are saying, since when I run Windows XP in Sun's Virtual Box I put it on my second monitor, when I want to do something in it I mouse over to it, click and I'm there. When I finish doing whatever, I mouse back over to my primary monitor and click on whatever Mac program I want to use, and I'm there. Just like switching back and forth between one program and another, which seems to me to be about as convenient as anything could possibly be. What more do you want? It sounds like your emulation program has a keyboard shortcut you are using to switch between them, which doesn't sound particularly arduous either, and it may have a preference somewhere where the switching method can be defined. Since my VM supports mouse integration, I can even option-click out of XP into Mac, and the XP window hides altogether so I can use both monitors in Mac, as usual. To bring XP back I just click on its window in the Dock. I guess I just don't understand what you mean by "independently"--do you mean you want the guest OS to use both monitors?

HT1730 Trying to run Illustrator CS3 with Rosetta, but forcing is impossible....What can I do?

I do have a plotter plug-in for CS3 which does not work anymore after updating system to 10.6.8. Forcing to run Illustrtator under Rosetta is impossible as there is no checkbox in Infopanel.
i.e. I can run Safari under Rosetta, but not CS3. Any help?

Unable to use 4 monitors with GTX 970

I used to run 4 monitors with my EVGA 660Ti. I recently purchased a Msi GTX 970 4GD5T OC and now my VGA only utility monitor on the DVI-I port (with included adapter) wont display when in windows. It displays the bios on boot but once windows 7 initializes it reads "no RGB input". I must be missing something simple that I did before with my 660Ti but I can't remember. Tried it with another VGA only flat screen I had and the same results.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you mean by only DVI won't display or something? four ports on vga or some ports in onboard port? Did you check NVIDIA control panel 3D Settings--Configure surround, and right click screen resolution on desktop?

Cannot run Activity Monitor

I tried to run Activity Monitor. (One reason was to see if there was something causing seemingly sluggish behavior when, e.g., I open folders. Opening the Applications and Utilities folders seems to take a long time for all items to be listed.) I get the following message:
Activity Monitor can not start because of incorrect file permissions.
I have reset permissions using Disk Utility to no avail. I have reset permissions and ACL to all accounts using the 10.5 install disk to no avail. I have created another user (with Admin privileges), and Activity Monitor still won't run, giving the same error message. Any ideas on what is wrong and how to fix would be greatly appreciated. I am on the verge of reinstalling 10.5 (and am willing to do so, if it solves these problems). Thanks!

You should check for ACL troubles in your /Applications directory
Open terminal.app
at the prompt type:
ls -ael /Applications/utilities
If you get something like this:

then you have ACL problems. There should be no acl entries on your apps.
