On Mac, this password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software which can harm your system. Flash Player does not throw this prompt, Apple does that.
Please provide machine credentials of currently logged in User to continue with the installation.

Reinstall iPhoto.
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

Mail says my gmail usernames and passwords are wrong but they're not

I'm trying to set up my gmail account on my laptop and iPhone but everytime I try I get an error message that reads "Logging in to the Gmail IMAP server “imap.gmail.com” failed. Make sure the user name and password you entered are correct, then click Continue. If the information isn’t correct, you cannot receive messages." I get this message on both devices but when I log onto gmail from a web browser using the same info everything works perfectly. The username and password are correct but mail say they're wrong. Any ideas?

I have checked this on my device. I see a Default account under Messages created outside of Mail will be sent from the default account. There is an account selected, though it does not show my exchnage account. If it is only an exchange accout, can that not be used for this?

Mailing from iPhoto doesn't work , what is the problem?

When I try to send an attatchment to mail from iphoto I can never get my mail server to send it . Always says there is no server. Don't even know what a server is? cannot send any mail. Very frustrated as this morning my mail works & I can send , but as soon as icloug from iphoto takes over , i cannot gret my attachments out. I am done....way too frustrustrating . Duplicate remover does not work. I will have to go in an hand select over 4,000 phot's to remove & create back the events. At the point were afraid to back up this mess as it is not working.. Why would I want to change JPEG quality of photos when exporting them from iPhoto? Changing the quality of the print changes the size of the saved file and thus impacts the speed at which it is moved on the internet. But other than size of the file, what is the advantage of changing the quality?

I have no idea why you would want to do anything
Some people want lower quality to reduce file size for different reasons
It is an option - if you do pot want to do that do not use that option

Did you launch iPhoto with the Option(Alt) and Commnad keys held down like Terence suggested? If you did it properly you will get this window:
The second option is the one you want to run.

Delete and recreate your email settings.
Alternatively, use Apple's Mail for the job. It has Templates too - and more of them.

Every time I send a photo via email, I have to type in my password. I'd like to disable that.

Tip: If you see a sheet or dialog that states 'Enter the password for user "email address'", this indicates that the email service provider is having an issue with the password being sent by Mail, or there is an issue with the email account. Contact the email service provider for support. ChooseWindow > Connection Doctor click "Show Detail" then click "Check Again". The information displayed in the "Show Detail" drawer may include details from the email service provider about what the issue is. Look for headers that start with "[ALERT]".

Send photos by e-mail from iPhoto.

I have problem to share by e-mail from iPhoto 11. I have fullly functional Mail on my macbook pro with 6th e-mail accounts. When i tryed to send some photos from iPhoto 11 i got message:
Your email did not go through because the server did not reply.
Check your Internet connection. If the connection is working properly, the email server may be down. Try sending your email again later.
Server and connection working properly and account is also OK (the same as in Mail from Mac OS X)
For me is now one resutls: I must select photos in IPhoto and export to the Desktop and after that send by attach to the Mail from MacOS-X. It works OK. But its horrible for me! Old version iPhoto 9 directly connect Email application and works OK. Help me.

You can send emails from iPhoto to Mail just like you could in the older versions
Iphoto menu -> Preferences -> General and select Mail at the 'EMail Photos Using...' dropdown
