Trying to send email to my printer so it would print it via cellphone

I sent email-message from my cellphone to the printers "email" address so it would print it out but nothing happens.
When I logged in to the www.hpeprintcenter.com site, the printer claimed that both of the messages (yes, I sent there 2 different messages) were in progress.
Anyone could help me to proceed this "in progress" mode --> "complete" ? How can I rush it or does all these messages always come by delay or something.

Hey halonen!
Try power cycling your printer by unplugging it for about 30 seconds and then plugging it back in. If this doesn't work, let me know, I'd be happy to provide further assistance.

This may not be what you want to hear. I too find the advertising for ePrint confusing (or worse?) Here is the response I got back from HP ePrint support:
"This app does not use WiFi or Bluetooth® technology for printing, so it will not print to your local HP or non-HP printer. The HP ePrint application addresses publicly available printers, which are offered by local print service providers. It masy also list your corporate printers if you are an HP ePrint Enterprise customer.
Home or Personal Printersw can use airprint to print from iPhones. Please see URL www.hp.com/go/airprint
At this point of time, the HP ePrint directory of printers listed on your device shows Plublic Printers available to print.
For further queries on HP ePrint on iPhone, please visit the site

If I want to print anything away from home using a mobile device, I have to send via regular email with attachments to my regular email address and print it all off when I get back home. Like I said earlier, probably not what you wanted to hear.
Hey srichardc!
This is because you were using the ePrint mobile app which unfortunately (like you said above) is not for use with your personal printer. however, you can send an email from the mail application on your mobile phone in order to use ePrint, the same way you would using ePrint from a computer.
Hope this helps!
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

  • Mobile Me was my default email account, so if I did any emailing like trying to send a photo directly from iphoto it would send from the mobile me address.  Is there a way to set a different default email account now that mobile me is gone?

    We used Mobile Me for our default email.  So if you answered an ad from a site or tried to send a photo directly from iphoto, it would use the mobile me account. Now that its gone, can I set a different address as my default?

    WEll, MobileMe has been moved & still works in iCloud.
    Did you setrup an iCloud account?
    Do not delete the old account yet. sign up for an iCloud account if you haven't.
    MAKE A NEW ACCOUNT - DO NOT TRY TO ALTER YOUR EXISTING ACCOUNT.
    I understand .mac mail will still come through. Do not delete the old account yet.
    You cannot use .mac or MobileMe as type of Account, you have to choose IMAP when setting up, otherwise Mail is hard coded to change imap.mail.me.com to mail.me.com & smtp.mail.me.com to smtp.me.com, no matter what you try to enter.
    iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
    On second step where it asks "Description", it has to be a unique name, but you can still use your email address.
    IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
    • Server name: imap.mail.me.com
    • SSL Required: Yes
    • Port: 993
    • Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    • Password: Your iCloud password
    SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
    • Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
    • SSL Required: Yes
    • Port: 587
    • SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
    • Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    • Password: Your iCloud password
    Also, you must upgrade your password to meet the new criteria:  8 characters, including upper and lower case and numbers.  If you have an older password that does not meet these criteria, when you try to setup mail on your mac, using all of the IMAP criteria listed above, it will still give a server error message.  Go to   http://appleid.apple.com         then follow directions to change your password, then go back to setting up your mail using the IMAP instructions above.

    Tried to send email direct from iphoto on my newly installed iPhoto '11. It will not accept my current and only server, or my password. The photos will go out directly from email, but not from iPhoto. Any suggestions?

    In the iPhoto preferences set Apple mail as the e-mail client and use it as before

    There is something else that can cause this issue. Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
    Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

    CAN ANYONE HELP??  I ALSO NEED TO KNOW WHICH/WHAT TO PICK FOR MY MAIL CLIENT. I'VE TRIED THREE DIFFERENT THINGS AND NONE OF THEM WORK!

    Mail would be a good choice, unless you are using another email client, like Outlook. There is likely something wrong with the account setup in iPhoto. You may need to delete the account you set up and enter it again if you want to send with iPhoto instead of with Mail.
    Give this a try to see what might be wrong: Drag a photo from iPhoto onto the Mail icon in the Dock. It will create a new message with the photo attached. If you click on the photo in Mail, it should show a popup menu to allow you to set the image size to send.
    Check out some of the links in the More Like This section to the right. There might be some other suggestions.

  • Trying to send email photos but keep getting server did not reply. Server seems to working with other email.

    Trying to send email photos in iPhoto. Have been able to successfully do this in the past. Unfortunately now all I get is ..."server did not reply." The server seems to work for normal email.  Please advise.

    In the iPhoto preferences ==> accounts delete the account and re-ente it
    OR  IMHO the better solution is to simply set Mail as the email client in the iPhoto preferences

    Not knowing your operating system or Mail program we can't give you much detailed help.   Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac to find your Mac OS or Mac OS X version.  If it is an X version, please post in the right forum:

    SMTP servers are of two types.   Those associated with the internet provider giving you the internet access.  I.e. if you have Verizon FiOS for Fiberoptic internet your SMTP server would be something based on verizon.net.   And those associated with separate web/e-mail host providers if you have a personal website or e-mail provider you chose from before you switched to the current internet access provider.   If the latter, it is possible the internet access provider, in order to prevent being implicated from being the source of spam has decided to enforce port or password authentication on the SMTP server to ensure you aren't a spam bot.  In that event, you'll probably have to check with them if it is better to use port 2626, 2662, or 587, and password authentication.  You may have to check with both e-mail provider and internet access provider.    Usually when you have separate providers doing both, your e-mail address is your username, and password on password authentication is same as checking your e-mail.

  • Error Message While Trying to Send email from Mac Mail...

    hello. i have been following the discussion board from some time, and finally made my first mac purchase. only 3 days old.anyways, i am trying to send mail from my .mac email account. i paid for the 1 year subscription,so i know my subscription status is still up to date. however, when trying to send an email using the Mac Mail application,i get this error..
    Error
    This message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered.
    the connection to the server "smtp.mac.com" on port 25 timed out.
    can someone help me?
    my isp is: Cox
    location: Virginia, USA
    just incase someone needed that. oh yes,i can also receive mail, but i just can not send any emails. i was trying to send an email to a "gmail" acct,and i also attached a 2mb pic.thank you to anyone who can assist me.

    This error message indicates your ISP blocks the use of SMTP servers that are outside of their network (or not provided by the ISP) on Port 25 which is the default/common port used by SMTP servers. Some ISPs allow the use of an authenticated SMTP server only that is outside of their network (such as the .Mac SMTP server) on Port 25 but some block its use regardless.
    These restrictions are in place as part of an overall effort to prevent spam emanating from the ISP's domain.
    Are you also accessing an email account with the Mail.app that is provided by Cox and if so, are you able to send messages with this account?
    Something to try.
    Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and under the Account Information tab for your .Mac account preferences at the SMTP server selection, select the Server Settings button for the .Mac SMTP server.
    Enter 587 in place of 25 in the Server Port field and when finished, select OK to save the changed setting.
    If this doesn't resolve it and you aren't accessing your Cox email account with the Mail.app, you need to create your Cox email account in Mail or at least add Cox's SMTP server and select/use Cox's SMTP server to send messages with your .Mac account which is invisible to all recipients.

  • How do i set up the eprint from my blackberry so i can send emails to my printer and print them off

    how do i set up eprint on my blackberry so i can send emails from my phone to the printer and print off

     Hi Tanya_Carroll,
    You can follow this link to set up ePrint.
    http://h71028.www7.hp.com/hho/us/en/ep/articles/setting-up-mobile-printing.html
    Once ePrint is setup, you can send an email to the printer's email address.
    Be sure to use one of these email clients when sending to the printer.  If the Blackberry will not send using your original email address, setup a new email account on the Blackberry and try again.

  • Issue with script timeouts - trying to send email mail shots - hosting recommendations?

    Background is this - I look after a site for a recruitment agency, which has a backend mySQL database.
    It includes a table of potential candidates, which the site owner can search based on various criteria and then send all the returned candidates an email about potential jobs they might be interested in.
    I'm using an off the shelf script to send the emails, and have jumped through a few hoops to get this to work, but it looks like we need to move hosting unfortunately.
    The script is able to limit emails so that the hosting company doesn't get black flagged as a spammer.
    I've set it up with a progress bar in a new window so the site owner can see progress, but easily get back to the rest of the site.
    But where we have come unstuck is the script timeout on the server - so even though its set to send emails slowly enough, ie under 500 emails an hour, because of that slow pace, it fails if it takes more then five minutes to send them all as the script times out.
    My understanding is that the script includes a line to reset the script timeout value to 0, so enabling the script to keep running until all the emails have been sent. But unfortunately our current hosting company does not allow the script timeout to be reset at the PHP level.
    So my question is this - is anyone doing anything similar, and if so, can you recommend any hosting company that does allow the script timeout to be reset at the PHP level?
    Because at the minute it seems like a frustrating catch-22 - slow it down to get around the spam issue, and it won't run long enough to send all the emails. Speed it up, and it falls foul of the script timeout.
    Any advise on this, or hosting suggestons most welcome!
    Thanks.

    Although there is an AppleScript Forum, Automator can run AppleScripts, so sometimes things can go in either forum. In your script, other than not setting a recipient, you are just getting one of the persons. You need to get a list of your contact information, then build your outgoing messages from that list - for example:
    <pre style="
    font-family: Monaco, 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;
    font-size: 10px;
    font-weight: normal;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 5px;
    border: 1px solid #000000;
    width: 720px; height: 340px;
    color: #000000;
    background-color: #FFEE80;
    overflow: auto;"
    title="this text can be pasted into the Script Editor">
    set theEmails to {} -- this will be a list of email addresses
    set theNames to {} -- this will be a list of names for the greeting
    tell application "Address Book"
    activate
    set theGroup to (choose from list (get the name of every group) with prompt "Choose a Group") as text
    if theGroup is "false" then return -- cancel
    repeat with aPerson in (get every person of group theGroup) -- build email and name lists
    set the end of theEmails to the first item of (get the value of the email of aPerson) -- just the first address
    set the end of theNames to the first name of aPerson
    end repeat
    end tell
    tell application "Mail"
    repeat with anItem from 1 to (count theEmails) -- make a new message for each entry
    tell (make new outgoing message at the front of outgoing messages with properties {subject:"Test Mail"})
    set visible to true
    get item anItem of theNames
    if the result is missing value then -- no name
    set the content to "message"
    else
    set the content to "Dear " & the result & "," & return & return & "message"
    end if
    make new to recipient at the end of to recipients with properties {address:(item anItem of theEmails)}
    end tell
    end repeat
    activate
    end tell
    </pre>
