Trying to set up mail and iCloud in iPhone4. It keeps saying verification failed. And the request timed out? Not sure what to do. I do have an iCloud account and am able to log on to it on computer and see mail, contacts, etc. Any ideas?

I have 2 i4 phones. I can sign on to iCloud on 1 but never on the other. Does anyone have the answer to this. I have tried to change my password but I still have the same problem. I keep getting message "Verification Failed The request timed out"

I upgraded to 2 - i4 phones with 2 different phone numbers. I can sign on to iCloud on 1 phone but never on the other. I have changed my my password twice but no matter what I do, I still have the same problem. I keep getting a message "Verification Failed The request timed out" no matter how many times I try to sign on it always times out. Firstly, go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with the ID you use for iCloud. A new password will be sent to your associated email address.
If that doesn't work, for example because it's going to an address you can't access, then you will have to contact Support. Go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; click 'See all products and services' at the bottom of the page. In the next page click 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID'. In the next page select 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password' and click 'Continue'.

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.

After restoring to factory settings/new iPod you will then have to restore from backup
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

"Publishing to YouTube failed. The request timed out." - This was a 54:10 long project and "share to DVD" was OK

Another long project (54:10) and new problems .
I am not a frequent FCP user and during my last major project a couple of months ago I experienced "Share operation DVD has failed, QuickTime Error 0" and "QuickTime error - 50" when exporting to YouTube. Thanks to Ross I overcame then both challenges.
The current project is 54:10 and "share to DVD" went reasonably well. However, during burning several copies (20 copies) of the same DVD, at the very end of the operation I received a message "There was an error buring your disk, The operation could not be completed (DSP Publishing error - 29)". This was puzzling because the copies when played seem all rirght and usable.
Is there any remedy regarding the above (not so important as the copies are playable) and the "Publishing to You Tube failed. The request timed out" ? Sharing to YouTube took over 8 hours and the counter went up from 1 to 100. Any suggestions, please ?

Thanks for warning. Will not touch the library bundle any more. However, I will describe the current situation:
Under "Libraries">"Macintosh HD projects and events"> (five items).
These five items are:
1. "Updated projects" - containing 2 projects ("Italy" and "Cracow") and 1 footage/clips "Cracow" only;
2. "Xmas" - containing 1 project ("Xmas" ) and the corresponding footage ("Xmas");
3. "Rome" - containing 2 projects ("Pandas" and "Rome") and 2 footages ("Pandas" and "Rome");
4. "New Even Wednesday 11 December 2013" - empty (message "import media");
5. "Italy" - no projects, just footage of "Italy"
What a mess I have made ! - It appears that project "Italy" could be moved from 1 to 5. A new event (?) called "Pandas" could be created with its own project and footage. No 4 could be deleted. No 2 is OK.

I use to have verizion email and have switched to Yahoo to try and use thunderbird.. Each time I try and retrieve my email i keep getting an error message that states that server timed out. Not sure what i need to change in the settings.

There are age restrictions for an Apple ID. These are in place for a good reason. Simply set it up to use your iTunes account/Apple ID for purchases. If you don't have one, create one.

ITunes store keeps saying that my session has timed out when trying to buy a product from the store

I Tunes is telling me that my session has timed out when trying to buy a gift voucher, which i have done many times before.
The most recent change i'v made to my computer before this happened was to download an update (MacOSX updatecombo 10.7.3dmg)
a couple of weeks ago. I'v turned off the firewall as suggested whilst trying to transact and turned it back on again, but don't know
what else to try. The problem is three days old as i left and came back to it to see if there might be a glitch in the system.
I'v been able to access the credit i have in the store, but not buy the itunes voucher to email to my own a/c. Please help someone if you can

However, because you reminded me to have another go at this problem, i tried something else (which i'd unsucsessfuly tried before), that is, i deleted the 'CLICK & SAVE " a/c i'd set up recently, and reverted to my previous payment me and would you know it , this time it worked !! I set up a trail purchase and it worked.
It seems to me that other poeple with this problem have to solve it by trail and error, but thank you for your help.Sandystone..

I just purchased an additional ipod. When I turn it on it tells me I have to plug into i tunes. I can't get any other screen to display on the device. I have plugged it into my computer and tried to sync but the sync button is not highlighted as a selection. I can't figure out what to do.

It's telling you to plug into a computer loaded with iTunes! You must highlight the iPod on the left side to make the Sync button available. This is because multiple devices can be simultaneously synced (wirelessly) from the same iTunes and you must decide which device you're syncing.
Also, Please read Chapter 2.
There have been some problems accessing pages on the Apple web site. If the hyperlink gives you a "We're sorry" message, try again.
