Trying to set up network from MacBook to ipads

My company recently purchased 20 iPads and a Mac book pro. We want to set up a network to be able to monitor and update the iPads. Our local store told us we would be able to set up a network using a mifi connection with the MacBook. I've worked for hours and can not get the network to see the iPads. Can anyone point me in the direction I need to go? Mountain lion server seems easy enough to set up. I had an apple rep talk me through making sure we had a static IP address. I've spoken with a couple of PCM network people and they tell me the network can not be set up with a mifi connection.

This is what I tried to do some time ago but was never able to get the Windows laptops to connect (they would get the signal and I would give them the AEBS password but it never worked). Do you have experience with getting this kind of setup to go? (I could fiddle around some more with changing the password from WPA to WEP, I read somewhere that might have been the problem).
Or do you have know if it works more easily with a 802.11n AEBS? (It might be worth the upgrade anyway to get the increased range and security with WPA2 for me.) Thanks

Trying to set up SMS on Macbook Air 11" and iPhone 6. When I go into text message forwarding, I am only provided with my ipad as an option, not my macbook. Both my phone number and my icloud email are checked, and I have signed out of icloud on both devices. Still no luck. Can someone help? I don't care about the ipad, I just want SMS messages to work on my computer.

After reviewing your post, it sounds like SMS is not working. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

Your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch need to use iOS 8.1, and your Mac needs to use OS X Yosemite.
Sign in to iMessage on your iPhone, your other iOS devices, and your Mac using the same Apple ID.
On your iPhone:
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > You Can Be Reached By, and add a check to both your phone number and email address.
Go to Messages > Text Message Forwarding, and enable the device(s) you would like to forward messages to.
Your Mac, iPad, or iPod touch will display a code. Enter this code on your iPhone to verify the SMS feature.

I may be misreading what you are trying to do but you don't import libraries via the import window. You use File->Import->Library..
If this doesn't resolve your problem post back with more detail of what you are doing and what is happening.

Couldn't you attach your iPhone to your computer and upload and add your iPhone Contacts to your iTunes Contacts and then sync the iPhone? Add one unique contact and calendar entry to your computer. You should then get the option to merge.

Is anyone else getting this error message, "Entitlements are not valid", when trying to sync .ipa file from iTunes to iPad?
The issue I'm having is getting the ipa file that was built by the 'Adobe Flash Packager for Iphone' installed into my iPad.
So, I have a swf file that works and was able to publish it into the Android Market. I then compiled and build the same flash project with the Packager for Iphone into an .ipa file. But when I try and install this .ipa file into my iPad to do my testings, i'm getting the error message.
I would like to test my ipa file in my iPad device before submitting it to the Apple Store.
Any help would be appreciated. thank you.

Developing for iphone can be amazingly complicated and frustrating. (even before you start coding). The process of having to create a Certificate, to approving the Certificate, to Assigning the deviceIDs to the certificate, to creating the AppIDs, to creating the provisioning profiles and then creating the .p12 file... is just too tedious.
I solved the problem of the "Entitlements are not valid". The AppID i had set in the iPhone Developer Portal did not match that of the AppID i had set in the Adobe Flash CS5 -> Publish Settings. (ie. com.yourdomainname.yourappname). After I re-entered my AppID and compile, i was able to sync the .ipa file into my ipad.
I wish the error message had been a little more descriptive. Could have saved me a whole day.
I hope this helps others. But my guess is, if you don't set the 40 character device ID correctly, or the email in the signingcertificate correctly, you'll get this same generic error message.

Make sure that you are signed into the correct ID in Setting>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. If you use iTunes Match, you have to disable it on the iPad before you can sync your music.

URGENT: How to connect iPhone to internet over ad-hoc wi-fi network from MacBook?

I need to access the internet over wi-fi on my iPhone, but there is no wi-fi network I can use, so I am creating one with my MacBook. I choose "Create Network…" from the Airport menu on my Macbook, and I am able to connect my iPhone to the ad-hoc network I have made, but I can't access the internet with it, for some reason.
I think this might have something to do with one of the following two things, but I'm not sure:
1.) In system prefs > network on my Macbook, it says:
"Wi-Fi has the self-assigned IP address 169.254.83.143 and will not be able to connect to the Internet."
2.) Also in system prefs > network, under 802.1X, it says: "Authentication server is not responding".
Any help will be deeply appreciated.

To add more, when looking at the network (you have to be on it or near it) in your list, click the blue arrow next to it to get the settings for that network. On that screen you can tell it to forget.

Is it possible to transfer Playlists from itunes on a macbook 10.6 to the ipad air? The songs are on the air but not the playlists. I really don't want to set these up again on the ipad air.

Music from MacBook Pro/iPad/iPhone never streams immediatly

Anybody recognizes this problem?
Everytime that I start a musicfile from either my MacBook Pro, iPad or iPhone I have to switch the audio output back from ' Apple TV' to 'Computer' and than back to 'Apple TV' otherwise the Apple TV is automatically switched on but no music sounds... My idea is that with the first time I choose it Apple TV is switched on, but than has to me activated, which only seems to be possible doing one step back (choose Computer) and than again one forward by choosing the Apple TV again.
