Trying to setup actkbd for external keyboard

Hi, actkbd works fine for my laptop's keyboard. However I am trying to setup actkbd for the media keys in my external keyboard also.
So, i tried running
sudo actkbd -s -n -d /dev/input/by-id/usb-Logitech_USB_Receiver-event-kbd
in the terminal, however it does not show any codes for my external keyboard's media keys. when i checked in "showkey and showkey -s" it shows that the external keyboard's media keys have the same scancodes and keycodes as the internal keyboard.
How do i make my external keyboard's keys work with actkbd?

Yes, NAT and DNS are turned on, but I wonder if my DNS settings are right. Do you know what they should be?

Unable to set Canadian French CSA layout for external keyboard when language set to English

I use both French and English on my iPad. I now have an external keyboard, with French Canadian CSA layout. However, the Canadian French CSA layout for the hardware (external) keyboard is not available when using English as an input language. Many other layouts are available (e.g., US, Spanish ISO, etc.), but not this one. French Canadian CSA layout is available with French as the input language.
How can I add Canadian French CSA hardware keyboard layout when using English as the input language?

It's not possible for users to add keyboard layouts to any iOS device. All you can do is ask Apple to add it in a future update:

How to set shortcuts for external keyboard for MacBook Pro?

I attached a wired external keyboard (Apple aluminum) to my MacBook Pro. Several of the function keys are preprogrammed, and several are open. I want to program one of the open function keys to emulate the F11 key on the internal keyboard, the one that moves all open windows out of the way to show the desktop. The keyboard shortcuts tab in System Preferences only controls the internal keyboard.
Does anyone know a way to do this?

Trying to setup ISO for across Ledgers

Hi,
I am trying to setup an ISO Flow across different OU (and Ledgers).
As per my understanding, I need to define one Detsination location which I need to associate it with Source and Destination Inv Organization.
But, when I have defined the location, I have attached it with the Destination Organization. NOw when I am trying to attach the same location to Source Organization, it is not allowing me to do that.
Any help will be really good.

The Destination locations is the place where your Goods will finally flow in to. This location has to be present in the Requesting Operating Unit.
To create an ISO across Operating Units, Navigate to the Purchasing Responsibility of the Destination OU and Setup the Sourcing Org / OU as a Supplier in that.
Similarly, Navigate to the Order Management Responsibility of the Sourcing OU and setup the Destination Org / OU as a Customer in that.
This would create the Customer - Supplier relationship between these two organizations.

AZERTY support for external keyboards

Is there a way for the Palybook to support keyboard other than US version for bluetoth keyboard.
Mine is french azerty (Microsoft 6000) but It is mapped as an US (qwerty) when typing.

Still works over command-line though, I found out.

I am trying to setup a new external hard drive as my Time Machine

I purchased a new 4TB external hard drive to store my stuff on. I have formatted the hard drive to work on my iMac but i cannot get it to successfully sork with Time Machine. I have tried anything and everthing that I could find on the matter and cannot seem to get it to work. I am constanly getting errors. Any ideas? Your help is appreciated!

Thanks for your suggestions. Whatever was happening seemed to be solved yesterday morning, my Time Machine is now up and running with the new drive.

According to your post, my understanding is that you got an error when tried to return the information from the external content.
Did the error occur when you created a new external content type or created a external list?

Keyboard settings for external keyboard get lost between sessions

Hello!
I use MacBook Pro laptop which I connect to external mac keyboard when come to work. I prefer to use "F1, F2... etc" keys as functional keys so I turn on this setting in bootcamp control panel. However, each time I disconnect the keyboard and connect it back this setting stops to affect that keyboard while setting is still set to true in control panel.
Is this problem going to be solved?

Any of the regular helpers here will tell you that CCleaner deletes settings files resulting in the sort of upsets you have described. I don't know why you didn't have such trouble under previous versions of windows, but since I choose not to use windows 8 I'm not able to comment on how or if the behaviour has changed.
There have been changes in Thunderbird itself, allegedly, which I haven't seen applied to any of my own three installations of Thunderbird, that might mean that there are new files that need to be specifically excluded from CCleaner's actions. Maybe these changes are specifically related to Windows 8 installations. If you have a ''xulstore.json'' in the profile on the affected machine(s) then try adding ''xulstore.json'' to CCleaner's exclusions.

What do you do in Thunderbird that you consider ''needs'' to be cleaned up by CCleaner? CCleaner picks on files whose names coincide with similar files used by browsers to record browsing history. Thunderbird uses, for instance, json files to store configuration settings. If you allow CCeaner to delete these from Thunderbird's profile then Thunderbird will necessarily forget things.
We always advise to exclude all of Thunderbird's profile from CCleaner. If you won't take that advice then you're rather on your own.

Setup wireless for external hard drive?

I know that this is not mentioned in the manual at all, but I wondered if I would be able to set up my external hard drive to the AirPort Express and have it transmit those files wirelessly. It's annoying having to drag the external drive around and find a place to plug it in around the room if I want to listen to music and thought this could be a good solution if it was possible.
Basically I just want to know if it is possible and how I would do this really?

The AirPort Express can't use an USB drive, and can't stream content directly from a hard drive; an application actually needs to send the content to it.

Unable to setup WLC for LDAP

Hi,
I'm trying to setup WLC for LDAP to authenticate the users. I have all the components required according to cisco's document. WLC4402, LAP1142N, 2008 AD serving as LDAP.
I'm configuring according to the document and also trying same settings from other users on this forum who (seems to) have got the WLC-LDAP up and working. My problem is that I'm receiving the below debug message on the controller and there is nothing on the internet on this error:

I'm getting this error regardless of the authentication type, any username and attributes. So it makes me think WLC is not even trying to bind to LDAP. If the error was invalid credentials or something mismatch or something, it gives me some information to base my troubelshooting but I just can't find information on this (rc = 1008 - Invalid client handle) message.
I appreciate any input you guys have. Also if you need me to post my config screenshots or anything else, then please let me know

Thanks for the reply.
I've tried with Softterra LDAP browser and it is working fine. I can browse everything with the account I'm using for binding.
The funny thing I found out is that the LDAP authentication is actually working, when I try to connect via wireless and enter my AD account the on web auth page, it logs me in. So it is authenticating agains LDAP but why I'm getting this error, I don't know.
Any idea?

Is your listener started. This error normally comes when the listener is not started.

I have an iphone 5 with ios 6. I am trying to setup a new exchange email account. I need the backslash but it is not available. I can find it on other apps but not when trying to set up the mail account. (it is not on the keyboard)

I know it is supposed to be on the +key (and is for other apps) but for some reason it is not available when setting up an email account. Is this on purpose or am I doing something wrong?

I can tell you that with Sprint their coverage area isn't as good as Verizon or AT&T.
Are you sending these imessage while on wifi or cellular data? Also your husband would need to be in a good coverage area.
Usually when imessage is unavailable it will send it as a text. Does your husband receive your imessage as a text?
