Trying to setup iCloud email on pc with outlook followed manual instructions as directed
Outlook accepted all input but failed when sending test message in outlook
Message state error smtp contact ISP

This what I set our 2003 at least a dozen times, nothing what so ever changes, unless I use these entries we can not get a TEST of the account to run through to the end.
However with that we now always get the error 0x800ccc7d every day now for the first few emails.
Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.verizon.net
IncomingServerPort Numbers: 995
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.verizon.net
Outgoing ServerPort Numbers: 465 Your Verizon Online user name
Your Verizon Online password
Make sure "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" is checked.

I am getting the following error message. I am trying to set up my iCloud email in Outlook.

Get an App Password for Outlook
Once you’ve set up two-step verification, you need to obtain an App Password to be able to connect again via the Outlook Hotmail Connector or the EAS protocol.
In your account management go back to Security Info.
Under the “App passwords” header, click on: Create a new app password
You can also use this direct link to the App Password section.
Use the generated password which is being displayed to log on to your Outlook.com account from Outlook.
Getting an App Password for Outlook is required after enabling Two-Step Verification for your Microsoft Account.
Note: Although you can reuse this password for other apps, it is not recommended or needed to save this password for future reference. Just create a new one when you are being prompted for a password in another application which doesn’t support two-step verification. If any of the passwords become compromised, use the “Remove existing app passwords” link in the “Security info” section to make them invalid.

I am trying to sync iCloud with MS Outlook 2010. I cannot see my contacts in iCloud or the Calendar. I have tried multiple things; delete the iCloud from control panel and reinstall, turn on/off the calendar and contacts in iCloud panel, repair iCloud and Outlook, and I still cannot see my contacts. Then you'll have to use another iOS device or Mac running OS X Lion or higher to create a new account for you to use on your phone. If you don't have one, perhaps a friend would allow you to create and account on their device (note: this will use one of their three maximum accounts). To do this, they would need to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which will delete the account from their device but not from iCloud), then allow you to sign back in with your ID to create the new account. Then tap Delete Account to delete the new account from their device, and finally, sign back in with their iCloud ID to restore their iCloud account to their device. Then you can sign in with your ID on your phone in Settings>iCloud and use the new account.

Trying to setup an email, but won't verify it says the server is not trusted how do i fix this?

I wonder of anyone can help me, I am trying to setup an email account on my IPhone 4 but the accoutn won't verify. I get to the point where is says continue, cancel and details. Under the details section it gives me the error message that the server is not trusted. I am not sure what this means but I have been looking online and I think it is something to do with the primary certificate or something along those lines although I don't completely understand what that means, I hope someone can help as this is driving me crazy.

That message usually means that the server's Certificate has expired. You can just tap Continue and it should connect. It's a warning that you may not be connecting to the server you think you are. But if you are sure it is the right one just click Continue.

i downloaded icloud and it put my icloud email into outlook. All was fine until about 2 weeks ago, when i noticed that i could not send, but receive emails. I am not sure how to fix it. the server times out.

Setup icloud email address uner Microsoft Outlook 2010

I had followed the instruction given by Apple to me to setup my new icloud email address under Microsoft Outlook 2010. It did not work!
I try to use the configuration for my me.com, it still failed.
Can somebody show me the details to set it up in detail.

(ps - I setup my me.com under thunderbird and iphone without any problem. Only this new address is not working .....)

If you have iCloud Control Panel installed, open Control Panel > Network and Internet > iCloud and mark Mail. If it doesn't work, set up mail manually > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864

Apple ID isn't same as iCloud email address - Outlook setup

My Apple ID is a comcast.net email address. How do I get my iCloud (me.com) email set up in Outlook 2007? I've tried setting it up manually using both my Apple ID and my iCloud email address, and both have failed to authorize.

iCloud email will work with almost any email client. Use whatever email client you have on your computer now and set up your account using these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864.
