Trying to Share a H.264 1920x1080i 29.97 video

Every video I share from FCPX via Compressor 4 as an H.264 file is Progressive. I can't export an interlaced HD 1920x1080i 29.97 file.
No matter how I change the settings in Compressor. I think we have a bug here.

What are you doing to make it interlaced? I don't think there is an option. If there isn't its not a bug.

Should I expect to see a disc menu when exporting using H.264 1920x1080i 30?

I've made many standard definition home DVD's with disc menus using Premiere Elements 9. Now that I'm using a high definition video camera I'm interested in trying the Blu Ray option. As a starting point I decided to export a project using the "Computer" option under the "Share" menu. Under the "Computer" option I selected H.264 1920x1080i 30. The rendering process was completed without error, however, there are no disc menus, scene buttons etc. Is this to be expected? If I burn a project directly to a Blu Ray disc will I see the same result or will disc menus be present?

In PrE, the way to check the DVD is to Burn to Folder, rather than Burn to Dics. This will create the VIDEO_TS folder, with those IFO, BUP and VOB files, the necessary parts of a DVD.
With a DVD, the first VOB will have any Menus, and all navigation, plus the first part of the MPEG-2 media file. The rest of the VOB's will have the other segments of the MPEG-2 (in the VOB container), and will span the full Duration of the Timeline.
That VIDEO_TS folder can be viewed in a DVD software player, like CyberLink PowerDVD, MediaPlayer Classic HC, or similar, plus can also be burned to disc, with utilities, like the great, free ImgBurn.
If one does a plain Share/Export, then all they get is the AV file of the Timeline, without any Menus, or navigation - just an AV file, that can be played in any number of media players.

PrE 9.0 wont let me share as H.264 1280x720p 29.97 fps - keeps changing frame rate

As the title says I am unable to create an export with the following settings:
H.264
1280x720p
29.97 (or 30, neither possible) fps
I have tried editing the existing H.264 presets but the following happens:
I go into Share > Computer > MPEG and select the Preset "H.264 1440x1080i 30" then hit the "Advanced" button.
All I want is to change the resolution to match my project size, 1280x720 which I do - but then something happens
As soon as I change "Frame Dimensions (pixels)" to 1280x720, the fps is automatically changed to 59.94 and when I click the dropdown box for the frame rate, I can only pick the following:
23.976
24
59.94
Automatic (based on source)
Since I can't pick 30 or 29.97 I tried picking Automatic but that sets it to 23.976 - even though it clearly states that my source is at 29.97 fps...
At this point I don't really know what else to try and any help is appreciated.

EDIT: Just thought I'd also mention that the source is from a GoPro Hero HD cam which shoots in 1280x720 H.264 AVC so I did select "NTSC AVCHD LITE 720p30" as the project profile
EDIT2: Found Bill Hunt's premade profiles for the GoPro and Premiere Pro. Trying them out right now and it seems to be working. But I still cannot create a profile with 29.97 fps at 1280x720 myself

With certain file formats and codecs, you will be limited in the configuration of size or frame rate. It sounds like the output format you've selected is one of them.
Try going to Share/Computer/MOV and see if that makes a difference.

I have had to install and uninstall my gmail info on my iPhone multiple times due to errors sending and receiving emails from my company email address on my phone. For some reason, all of my emails are getting stuck in my outbox when my gmail account is installed on my phone. When I delete it, my emails get sent automatically. This is really annoying! I would do without the gmail account, but I need to share calendars with my husband. How do I fix this?

If you have two-step verification turned on in your email account, you'll have to log in with a browser and turn it off.

In trying to share music with multiple user accounts on one comp, I quit itunes, located my itunes media folder, moved it to a publicly accessible location. Problem is it didn't work and now I can't get it all back to the way it was.

If you are seeing the "Connect to iTunes" logo, then your device is in Recovery Mode, and you will need to restore it:

iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

IPhoto 9.5.1 - Trying to share 1 libary

Using iPhoto 9.5.1.... Trying to share one libary on a home network between 2 imacs, a mini mac server and a laptop (and two iphones) - I am organised and my husband is not - It would be great if we could share our family photos in one great master area on our home network - Sadly I hear this has been discontinued? If not please help

Have a company based itunes account, trying to share itunes on bank owned devices. can't get all devices to keep our shared password on them without requesting user to enter password (which i am not giving them)

i am an IT manager for a bank. we have several company owned iphones. WE have also implemented a mobile device management system to manage our iphones.
We setup acompany based itunes account, trying to share itunes on bank owned devices. This way i can add bank approved apps to the devices through our itunes account and push out to the iphones, and no one can download any other non bank approved apps.
it has been working ok. but recently i had one user who came in. He went to enter in his itunes account on the phone and didn't work. So then came back and my staff and myself have (as much as we can see) removed his email account itunes login from all sections in settings. and entered in our itunes account information, but when you go to the app store, and hit upgrade, it still shows his email account for itunes. I feel like i can't get all devices to keep our shared password on them without requesting user to enter password (which i am not giving them)
How can i troubleshoot his device. i tried changing password 5 times today, rebooted device, and no change.

i have an MDM application, and i push out the apps i want them to have with our IT apple id account. for some reason when two approved apps needed updating last week, they prompted him for our password. (which i told him to bring phone in and i would enter password).
but somehow he went to try to enter his personal to make it work (don't know why)
somewhere it's keeping his personal email. i went into itunes/apps and our apple id is in there.
there is nothing in icloud b/c we do not allow icloud, so that's clear.

How do i get rid of "homecomputer" that is trying to share with me?

I think someone may be trying to share something with my computer, but I have no idea who would do this and do not wish to share. In Finder, on the left, underneath SHARED, there is an icon of an old looking computer that says "homecomputer." Every once in a while the eject symbol shows up next to it, but when I click it nothing happens, and the eject button disappears. Clicking the "homecomputer" once, a file shows up on the right that says "SharedDocs." On the top it says Connected as: Guest. The file contains several other files such as AOL Downloads, some songs, sample pictures, etc. Its possible a neighbor accidentally connected, but I wish to delete this for security reasons. However, I can't delete it. Please help me get rid of this!

If you have a Network listed under Devices or Shared in the Finder's sidebar, then click on it to open the Network window. If you see an icon for "homecomputer" displayed, then CTRL- or RIGHT-click on it and select Eject from the contextual menu or simply drag it to the Trash.
If no Network is listed, then select Preferences from the Finder menu, click on the Advanced icon in the toolbar, then check the topmost box, Computer. Now in the Finder's sidebar you should see an entry under Devices labeled Computer or your computer name. Select it, and you should now see a Network icon displayed.
If this doesn't work, then check your settings in the File Sharing panels in System Preferences. It may be helpful to turn off file sharing, wait for it to stop, then restart it.
If your wireless network is not protected, then I suggest you configure your router to turn on WPA2 security and assign a password to access your network.

Trying to share a printer attached to a PPC Mac Mini

Hi all.
I'm reinsterting an old Mac Mini running OS X 10.5.8 as a headless print server. I can interact with it via other computers to share the screen, so my network protocol with the computer is sound. My problem is, I can't seem to print to any printer attached to this computer--this is obviously a problem, as that's the whole reason I've revived this device.
Sharing setup for all computers is complete and the client computers don't seem to have any trouble seeing the printer. But when I print to it, the job is sent VERY quickly (suspiciously so) from my clients (a Mac Mini Intel in the living room and a MacBook), and the PPC mini shows no indication a print job was ever delivered.
Any brilliant ideas? I'm sure it's something really basic I'm not remembering or thinking about, and I'm sure someone has already asked this question; feel free to direct me to that solution, as my searching efforts didn't produce anything that I felt was helpful--but I've been wrong before.

Turn off - TimeMachine usually works - re-try.
(the Application down in the Dock - not the Device)
But this can mean many thing's - My first thought is
• Free Space on Start-Up hard disk. How much ? (other disks do not count)

Trash the preference files while application is NOT Running.
Easiest way to find out if this is the problem is by:
• Create a new User-Account
• Log out of Your old one and into this
• Re-try iMovie
If it now works OK - then 99.9% the problem is iMovie pref. file that needs to be trashed.

This issue occurs only on MacOs machines using 10.7x
try switching-off the Local Mobile Backup
in Terminal copy/paste
sudo tmutil disablelocal
