Trying to share itunes from macbook to windows xp machine.

I've enabled home sharing on the macbook and can see the library ok on the xp machine. Can view and play tracks but cannot see any option to import tracks to xp machine. According to "help" there should be a window at the bottom giving this option but i cant see it. Any ideas?. Both machines are "authorised"

No. Right now I have two PCs in my office (laptop and desktop) along with my Mac Pro. The Mac and the desktop PC are connected to the network via cat5 to the router. The laptop is connected wirelessly. I also have a color laser in that room that is connected to the network via cat5 to the router. That printer I can print to just fine using the Mac.
In another room is another PC desktop running XP that has two printers connected to it, an HP laser and a Canon inkjet. It is connnected to the network via wireless. It could also be connected via cat5 if necessary, though I dont see how that could cause a problem at all with name resolution.
The PCs in my office all connect and print to the PC in the other room with no issues. The Mac will see the other computer, will see the other printers and when going through that tutorial will install the printers just as it says it should (both models are in the dropdown menus).
Its just when I go to print to them I get the above error message.
I also have two other laptop PCs that are wireless that can connect and print without issue that live in other parts of the house.

Have a company based itunes account, trying to share itunes on bank owned devices. can't get all devices to keep our shared password on them without requesting user to enter password (which i am not giving them)

i am an IT manager for a bank. we have several company owned iphones. WE have also implemented a mobile device management system to manage our iphones.
We setup acompany based itunes account, trying to share itunes on bank owned devices. This way i can add bank approved apps to the devices through our itunes account and push out to the iphones, and no one can download any other non bank approved apps.
it has been working ok. but recently i had one user who came in. He went to enter in his itunes account on the phone and didn't work. So then came back and my staff and myself have (as much as we can see) removed his email account itunes login from all sections in settings. and entered in our itunes account information, but when you go to the app store, and hit upgrade, it still shows his email account for itunes. I feel like i can't get all devices to keep our shared password on them without requesting user to enter password (which i am not giving them)
How can i troubleshoot his device. i tried changing password 5 times today, rebooted device, and no change.

i have an MDM application, and i push out the apps i want them to have with our IT apple id account. for some reason when two approved apps needed updating last week, they prompted him for our password. (which i told him to bring phone in and i would enter password).
but somehow he went to try to enter his personal to make it work (don't know why)
somewhere it's keeping his personal email. i went into itunes/apps and our apple id is in there.
there is nothing in icloud b/c we do not allow icloud, so that's clear.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

Are you saving the installer first and then installing, or are you running the installer directly from Apple's website? Also save first.
If you're saving first and still having issues, try and use Microsoft's Cleanup Utility and then reinstall Quicktime/iTunes:

If not mentioned in the articles, make a new user account in Windows and see if iTunes opens. That will tell you if there's something funky in your main account (if the new user works), or if you have a system-wide issue.

If you are having issues downloading and installing iTunes, or if your computer for some reason thinks you have already installed iTunes when you have not, you may want to try manually removing all of the associated iTunes files and reinstalling the application entirely from scratch. I solved it myself, after the "note" which came back from FF/Mozilla just as I finished my message, commenting on what it was that my system had , I wnnt back to check my plug-ins etc. I downloaded the latest Java, BOTH 32bit AND 64 bit versions and latest Firefox.
Now all is working.

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

Any one helps me how to share internet from mac to windows? I have created an internet sharing on macbook, a Mac can connect to internet, but windows pc can't connect with this sharing. I don't know why?

I am not a Windows guru. However, in XP there is a Wireless Network icon at the lower right side. Click on that, select the network you want to join, insert the password and that's it. Any issues speak to a Windows guru.

Fix Some Browser Pop-ups That Take Over Safari.
Common pop-ups include a message saying the government has seized your computer and you must pay to have it released (often called "Moneypak"), or a phony message saying that your computer has been infected, and you need to call a tech support number (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it resolved. First, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and your computer has not been affected. This "hijack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so do not pay any money, call the listed number, or provide any personal information. This article will outline the solution to dismiss the pop-up.
Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.
Relaunch Safari
If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.
This will not work in all cases. The shift key must be held at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window reappears. Set the permissions for Everyone in the folder in which CCPackager created, to "Read/Write" enabled. This is strange since there is only an administrator account on the Mac (and that account already has read/write), but it seems to resolve the issue.

I am Trying to install iTunes 12.1 for Windows 8.1 (64-bit) and I get an Itunes window with an error that says:

I already:
- Uninstalled all old Itunes versions.
- Tried a clean reboot to install the new version,
- Installed the security update’ Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update’
But I still get the same error.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you still have trouble you might consider installing the alternate version iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards) where you can download a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of iTunes that works with older video cards. This version may also be useful for anyone who is unable to get the 64-bit version of Apple Application Support to install when using the itunes6464setup file, or has trouble with playback of certain video files despite having QuickTime installed.
