Trying to stop a download - realised it is MUCH bigger than first thought. I keep deleting it, but keeps coming up on list for downloading. Any ideas?

My itunes library is much bigger than the 64gb on my ipod touch, but I want to update the touch to ios5.1. I tried the ipod backuo funnction, but this only produced a small file, much smaller than 64gb. If I upgrade, will i lose all the music and books as currently constituted on the ipod touch?
The iPod backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music.. See the following for what it contains.

I had original iPhoto app from 2007 or 2008, but in the last year it stopped working seemingly out of nowhere. Now I just installed iPhoto 9.5.1 but it won't open even after downloading the iPhoto Library Updater. My pictures are lost in the abyss.

Have you run the iPhoto Library Upgrader? You need to direct it to the location of your old iPhoto Library by clicking the "Choose Library" button in the lower right corner of the panel you are seeing when the upgrade starts. -
I've never used this feature to ask a question. Pardon not knowing etiquette and such. When I click on Creative Cloud logo/icon on my desktop, the indicator for time passing goes for a few seconds and stops, but CC app not opening.
CC app used to work on this same computer a few months ago. No changes to operating system. Photoshop is still working. Just wanted to download Lightroom and perhaps begin learning it, but to no avail.
Tried to look for a way to reinstall Adobe CC, but it says I already have it.
Any ideas?

After install of Mavericks, it looks like my system kernal panics and just sits there. I tried waiting over two nights. Tried reinstalling twice, booting ro the repair partition and repairs permissions/drive/verify , with no problems. Tried reseting PVRAM(or whateverit called). Recovery partition now has Mavericks as OS. Im running a iMac i3 27 inch circa 2011. Any ideas? Can still bootcamp into windows.

The file seems to create the CD/DVD/Image and USB just fine. So I used this only to create a CD image which I then wrote on a blank CD which seems to work fine. Also, I played around a bit and had some partial success in booting the partition. I've updated my original opening post with the new findings.
Whew!! what a waste of time! Never want to do all of this again .

I downloaded the latest iTunes software update and it properly installed. But, I cannot close the update window showing it was completed and the blue completion bar is full but cannot cancel or close it either. Any ideas on how to clear that out and close the window. Tried to quit on both the big window and the software update title in the menu bar. No luck.
Tried that by shutting down via the power button only as the normal shutdown was nixed by the open window issue. It did not help. Found a very similar question in the discussions and it recommended "Force Quit". That worked and the update works normal and the window is gone. Thanks!

I have 8 apps that, when I tried to update, are now stuck on "installing" in the box that says update. every time I try to update another app, it gets frozen like this as well. I was able to quit all apps, but these, as they do not respond. Any ideas?
Reset your iPad by holding the home and on/off buttons together for 6 or 7 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then update your apps one at a time. Do not start the next app until the current one downloads and finishes installing.

I've tried to update the latest version however I've been without a phone for a day as it seems to be stuck on an iTunes logo. I've tried updating via iTunes inc updating latest version but my phone still won't reset. Any ideas? Please help

I'm trying to import Hi8 into FCPX via a Canon GL2. Although the footage appears in the import window, it says camera not controllable. The manual import buttons activate, but the footage is not actually importing. Any ideas? Thanks so much.

Or you may be able to import using a different program - try with Quicktime Player, "New Movie Recording". If the camera appears as an option, it should work. -
i have a g4 running os10.4.11, i bought a epson workforce 1100 and tried to set it up but there is not a listing for it when i try to add it before installing the driver software from the supplied cd...anyone know what i can do to get it set up?
Load the drivers and you should then be able to add it in Print Center.

Rentals can only play on one device/computer at a time. Have you tried to play on the computer and still have that window open?
Have you transferred the rental to iPod/iPhone or iPad to watch?

Meaning enter your username and password?
Are you signed in - Settings>Store>Sign In? Maybe try in the App Store in the bottom left corner - you can access your ID in the featured tab of the App Store - check there.
If you are signed in correctly - try signing out and then sign in again in order to refresh the account information.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in. Then try to redeem the card again. -
Spotlight has stopped working properly. Even when a known file is entered (with full file name) in search, it fails to find it. It finds some things, but is not to be depended upon. Any ideas?
Try reindexing spotlight: Spotlight: How to re-index folders or volumes - Apple Support
If you still have problems, open Console app, select All Messages, then search for mds in the search field. Then search for mdworker. See if there are any messages indicating it is having problems with certain files.
You can also delete the index altogether and cause it to reindex with a command in Terminal. I have always assumed the method above will do the same, but I'm not certain. You must run this command while logged into an admin account. Copy the whole line and paste it into Terminal.
sudo mdutil -E /
sudo temporarily elevates your privileges and will ask for your password. When you type it in, there won't be any response in the Terminal. Just type it and hit return.
