Trying to tag only 6 various placed photos in library grid with graphic watermark....???

I am a photographer shooting photo sets of cars and need to keep them in order of shooting upon uploading. I am trying to attach a graphic logo watermark to the first shot of each set while keeping them all in the same export order. But...
I understand in order to attach the logo, I must be in export mode. Upon completion of the first photo watermark attachment.....I need to complete the export before going on to the next first shot of the series in the same library grid.
Maybe I am missing something here but need to figure this out other than in the export mode. If I take the pic to edit in photoshop to apply and flatten I back into Lightroom it puts the watermarked photo at the end of the library grid of photos.
Do I need to apply to original instead of a copy to keep in right order?

Change your sort order in the tool bar at the bottom of your Grid View to Capture Time instead of Edit Time

You should call Apple Support and give them your Apple ID so that they can verify how many photos you actually do have backed up in iCloud...
Also, are you able to do an iTunes backup at all? Because that would save all of the photos and allow you to get them onto the new device.
    Apple Support number is

  • Only half of photos in library load to iphoto 2

I've done a library rebuild and it hasn't helped. I can see the iphoto library in my finder, and it looks like they are all there, but they are not loading. The last photo is dated 10/21/04. Should I try importing those photos again? Isn't that kind of weird since I would be choosing folders in the iphoto library to import?
Or...should I install ibuddy and create new librarys and then try to import again?

    same problem, multiple threads.
My computer was full. I transfered my photo library to the external drive along with all my documents, and then cleaned up my computer, reinstalled osX, and applications, moved everything back to the hard drive, except for my iphoto library. I was able to access all my photos in iphoto for about 2 days, and then...only half the photos come up. The number of photos is at about 1500, and two days ago there were 3800. When I look in the finder, I can see the folders and that they have stuff in them, but they don't load into the library when I launch iphoto.
In the mean time, when I launched iphoto, I got the the "loading photos" message, but nothing ever loaded...it just kept saying it was loading. I did all the steps mentioned for the post about "iphoto stuck on loading photos"
Ran "Repair Permissions" from Disk Utility located in Applications>Utilties Folder.
Removed the preference (.plist file) and restart iPhoto.
If it still doesn't work go on to these remedies, in order.
    5. Bad Album data?
    Old Toad says:
1 - move the Albums folder and the AlbumData.xml file to the desktop.
2 - launch iPhoto. It if launches successfully you probably have a corrupt album.
To locate the bad "apple", pun intended, do the following:
1 - move one of the individual album folders and it's associated data file into the new Albums folder that was created in the iPhoto Library folder.
2 - launch iPhoto. If it's successful do the same with the next album folder and data file. If iPhoto doesn't launch successfully, that's a bad one and remove it and the data file.
3 - repeat for each individual album folder in the old Albums folder.
    6. Rebuild Library
So I did those things and now my iphoto loads again, but still only 1500ish photos.
Word now doesn't load, and I tried to install Microsoft player, and no luck. I think my computer is dying and it's time for a new imac. Any suggestions? I'm fairly certain I haven't lost the photos, but that for some reason, they just don't show up in the library when iphoto is launched.

  • Can only send 1 photo at a time with Lightroom 3

All the photos that I select go to the destination folder but only the active photo is shown in the Email client.  In this case - Thunerbird.

It's now a hidden option that can be turned on with a terminal command.  The easiest way to do this is to download TinkerTool from this site:
    http://www.bresink.com/osx/0TinkerTool/download.php5
Then go to Tinkertool > General tab > Select "support key repeat".
    Logoff and login again.

  • IPhoto import: Faces being tagged only on ORIGINAL photo in Aperture

    Hi there,
New to Aperture. Hoping to migrate from iPhoto.
One thing I noticed on my original import from iPhoto...
The Face tags that carry over from iPhoto are only attached to the ORIGINAL photo in iPhoto. So in cases where I've enhanced, rotated, or cropped an image before tagging faces in it in iPhoto, the tags show up on the WRONG photo in Aperture. Strangely, they show up in the part of the photo where they're tagged on the edited version.
Anyone have this trouble? Any fixes?

    Dear Terence,
thank you very much for your answer, although it reflects what I was hoping to be not true.
It is very annoying that the import / export functions between iPhoto and Aperture are not mature enough to include relevant EXIF information. I do not know if you are an Apple employee - if not, you are not the right addressee, of course - but it would be fine if Apple considered closing that gap. I do not see any good reason why existing information is ignored and must be hard-written to the files or kept redundant. It neither makes any sense from the software architecture point of view nor keeping the user's requirements in mind.
Considering your tips, I have a few additional questions:
    1. Is there any way to automate tagging of pictures using the information available in Faces? I have about 175 recognized faces (could be more than 500, if I was motivated enough) in my library and tagging manually would be very time consuming. As fas as I understand iPhoto, I have to select all pictures linked to a person, Cmd+A, tag - 175 times!?
    2. You say that I can export event by event or album by album - yes, I can do that manually. But what I do in the all pictures view is Cmd+A, Export, JPEG, Original Size, Original Filenames, write additional information to files, end of story. After 4-5 hours, I have all my pictures in one folder which Aperture imports to exactly one project. Well, maybe I missed something, but please tell me how I get iPhoto to export each event to one folder with just one click, making Aperture capable to interpret those folders as albums while importing.
Thank you very much...! Well, if 1. and 2. are not possible, Apple's developers should really know what Aperture 2.5 or 3.0 should look like.
    Regards
    Steffen

  • Export photos in a grid?

Is there a way to export photos in a grid with thin boarders? 2X2 or 3X3
I know the print module has close to what I'm looking for but not to print, just export as a jpeg.
    thanks for any suggestions

The print module can print to JPEG.  If the canned presets can't give you what you want, you can define your own, or find one someone has made that you like.

I get this pop up when trying to create a photo book through the iPhoto store.
"Some or all of the photos you selected were downloaded from your published albums. You can only view these photos. To use them in an album or a slideshow or project, you must import them to your photo library."
The photos I have selected have already been imported so how and why do I do it all over again?
What do they mean by published albums?  I categorize them into photo albums for organizational purposes after I import them from my camera or phone. So why can't I put them into a book now?
I have over 400 photos selected for a photo book for my child's graduation gift so how can I tell which photos I have to do this to?
Please help. Any insight wouyld be appreciated.
    Confused and frustrated...

Give this a try:  apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.

  • In IPhoto or IPad, when I edit a photo in an existing album, the photo is removed and placed in a new album with only edited photos. How do I keep it in or get it back to its original album?

When using IPhoto for IPad, can I move photos from one album to another? For instance, when I edit a photo in an existing album, the photo is removed and placed in a new album with other edited photos. How do I keep it in or move it back to its original album?

That will depend on the kind of album your photo is in.
Most albums in iPhoto are created automatic by the way you are using and editing your photos, see: http://help.apple.com/iphoto/ipad/1.1/#blnkb9b1e2a
When you edit your photo, the edited copy is added to the automatic "edited" album and the view switches to he edited album. But the photo should stay in its original album - do you see something different? Only if you want the edited photo in the camera roll and the photo strea as well, you have to save the edited copy to the camera roll again after editing, otherwise the camera roll will show the original and not the edted version.

  • When trying to rotate a group of photos only one of them rotates

When trying to rotate a group of photos only one of them rotates.

Do you perhaps have the "Primary Only" flag enabled?
The little button with the framed "1"  ?  Or in the "Edit" menu "Primary Only"?
See:  Keywords or ratings are applied only to one of the selected images - why?

To select consecutive images click and drag the cursor over multiple thumbnails to select all at once.
To select multiple images that are randomly located hold down the Command(⌘) key and click on those images you want to select.
Or to select consecutive images from a list of images that are together hold down the Shift key and and click on the first photo you want to select and the on the last photo you want in the list.

Thank you everyone. I figured it out. I thought that you can use regular paper to print pictures from photos on Ipad. This is not possible. I was able to use regular print paper to print from my mail. My problem is solved!!

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music'  then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

  • I bought LR 5 on Oct 16, 2014. I just tried to export photos with watermark and it wont work. After reading tutorials and following directions, only a few photos out of 100 show up with watermark, but not everytime. Is this a bug and how does it get fixed

I bought LR 5 Oct 16 this year. Why doesn't my watermark work when I export photos? I followed tutorials and still it does not work. Once, a few photos out of about 100 exported with the watermark, but only once. Is this a bug? how to fix?  Also, how to I get rid of unwanted presents?

Are you exporting as JPG or TIFF or PSD?
Any other format (including "Original") will not show a watermark.

  • IPhoto 11 photo book save placed photos

I made a photobook for my client.  She likes it.
I took over 150 photos and used 48 photos for the book.
In the photobook screen, the photos I placed in the book are check marked.
The ones not used are clear.
Is it possible to extract only those placed 48 photos and put them in a separate album?
I am trying to avoide going through all 150 photos and try to find the 48 used ones.
Is there a simple highlight, drag and drop kind of procedure?
    Thank you.

There is a way.  If you don't have any other photos flagged in the library you can go thru the pages and flag each photo in the book. To flag the photos you need to get into the edit mode and then use the Photos ➙ Flag Photo menu option.  The next photo in the book can be brought into the edit mode by using the forwared arrow on the keyboard. Create a smart album with the criteria Photo is Flagged and you'll have all of the book photos grouped in that smart album.
Or you can use ratings which is easier as you don't need to go into the Edit mode.  Click on each photo on a page and use the Photos ➙ My Ration menu option to assigna a specific rating to the photos in the book:
If your library has photos other than that apply to your client you might want to consider this tutorial for this book, iP12 - Archiving an iPhoto 9 (11) Book for Editing and/or Ordering at a Later Date, for this book and using a separate library for future books.

  • Keyword tags for imported iPhone photos disappeared from LR5.7 catalog under OS 10.10.1Yosemite.

I am using LR 5.7 on a Mac OS 10.10.1 with a Time Machine backup - the vast majority of my photos were taken on an iPhone 5 in the year 2014 and are in a folder on my computer internal hard drive.
The structure is my Folders > Macintosh HD which has a folder inside called
Pictures Users/myname with 1719 photos in it -
when I click on this folder the following folders open up:
    > folder dated 1904(?) with 2 items
    > folder dated 2012 with 1 item
    > folder dated 2013 with 1 item
    > folder dated 2014 with 1352 items...
    .... and so on until
    >Exported Original Photos 365 (which are exports of photos from iPhoto that I wanted to catalog and develop in LR)
The Maths are correct. But as for the tags:
when I open the folder Pictures Users/myname containing 1719 photos and view them as thumbnails I see all the keywording applied to my collection of photos
BUT when I open the folder Pictures - Users/myname and then folder 2014, I see a list:
    folder 2014 with 199 items
    folder 2014-01-20 with 1 item
    folder 2014-01-21 with 5 items
    etc
    All well and good.
BUT if I open these dated folders with small numbers of images in them (never more than 50 per day), view the images in a grid and click on a photo, there are no keyboard tags to be seen in the information panel. They only time I see any keyword tags that I have entered is when I open Macintosh HD > Pictures - Users/myname which contains my entire library of photos taken in 2014 and those added to the catalog from iPhoto.
Should I see tags for the photos in the individually dated folders e.g. Macintosh HD > Pictures - Users/myname > 2014 > 2014-01-20 and so on day by day ?
I have been tagging my photos with keywords after my weekly import. And have been doing this after viewing each photo from the grid view of photos displayed by clicking on  Macintosh HD >Pictures - Users/myname.
    Have I made an error?
I want to tag my collection of photos by the correct method before it grows in size.
    Many thanks
    David (Brighton, UK)

    Hi,
I moused down on the "+" sign where it says Folders and "show photos in subfolders" was shown as already being "on".
I followed your suggestion:  I tried to keyword the photo in Macintosh HD/Pictures - Users/myname/folder 2014-01-20 with 1 item however it did not permit me to type in a keyword in the keyboarding section panel on the left hand side, so I was unable to check if it stuck.
I don't know whether this is important or not, but the list of folders, subfolders etc have slightly different arrow heads:
If I drop down the Macintosh HD location there is a SOLID, grey downward pointing arrow to the left hand side of the folder Pictures - Users/myname/..
However, if you drop down folders from Macintosh HD > Pictures - Users/myname/.. to show inner folders:
Macintosh HD> Pictures - Users/myname/... > folders dated 2014-01-20 etc., then there is a horizontal triangle that is made up of grey dots rather than a solid triangle for every dated folder - is this as expected?
